《My power is actually really OP you know》18. The Internet
Advertisement
I know exactly what to do in this situation. I may not actually know anything related to programming and computer, but I know that there is a natural born ability user on the internet.
He is not actually in the real world pressing some button or whatsoever, he is actually on the internet.
I'm pretty sure all the natural born ability holder survived the crossover, and that guy should too.
I could actually contact him even though I don't actually know how to program. It was because the guy has a very bad habit.
He likes to kidnap people over the internet and tortured them in a virtual world of his own making. At least, I think it is torture anyway. From what I heard of the world on the internet, that place is a cesspool. This virtual natural ability holder captured people and lock them in that place. The people all suffer greatly.
I put my face close to the tablet and do the ritual to get myself kidnapped.
Back in the day there was some stupid game the kids play, looking at a mirror while muttering Bloody Mary three times. Well, this is like that except that guy personally kidnap everyone who mutter his name while accessing the internet and deliberately spread that name over the internet.
"Pris-"
In a moment, I was free from that room only to get into another prison.
Currently, I found myself in a bleak looking place. It looks like the inside of a building.
This building is actually the virtual world on the internet. All the victims were gathered here to be played with by the ability holders.
I look back at the place I entered this world from, it was a window pane. It was supposed to be the screen of the tablet I just used, but now that I look outside, I only saw clouds and nothing else.

It seems I'm on a high floor but I'm actually not, all floors are like that. There does not exist something call lowest floor and highest floor, I think. It is the internet after all, it is as big as the internet could be.
Well, now I'm trapped in another prison, a supernatural one, it is time to get out.
While I'm inside my fake sister's house, all of the security people didn't let me out. But now I'm at some place else created by ability, I could simply get out.
Actually, all of the windowpane of the building was connected to an appliance outside. It is just that no one could actually cross over the window after they got trapped in the virtual world.
It is easy for me though because the virtual torturer literally has nothing on me. I'm OP that way.
So saying, I ran as far away as possible from the window pane I entered from to look for another window.
Along the way, I saw people. Prisoner of this place, kept alive not out of mercy but cruelty. They don't know when it is going to be their time to die. They live in misery. They won't die in this place but all of their bodily function remain as normal.
They require going to the bathroom, eating, drinking, etc. After a while, they will realize the urges aren't actually necessary to their existence but it will still make them miserable.
The hunger will still be there, the pain will still be there, the pain will still be there even if they are fine.
It is the perfect torture house. It is a sad place, but I think it is not actually that bad. They are allowed to live aren't they?
The virtual torturer won't kill them, he will just leave them to rot. If their will is strong, they may even thrive in this place.

Perhaps one day, they could even rebuild civilization in this world.
The 'prisoners' saw me. They point and speak in French I think, but I ignore them.
I think they were saying
"There he is, a newbie. Soon he will realize there are no escape. He will be just like us."
Sorry french person but this guy's ability mean nothing to me.
I dash down the hallway before jumping to a nearby window. My arm touch the windowpane and entered it.
I could feel water on the otherside, it is the outside world.
The French person saw me too, escaping their nightmare. In a moment they started to yell, they got desperate, I think some of them even start yelling in English
"Help us! Help us please!"
"Get me out of here!"
"Wait! Stop! Take me with you!"
They try to grab me, but I'm sorry guy, I can't take you with me. You are on your own. My power is OP enough that its passive effect protect me, but I can't actually use it to save you.
I'm sure there will be a nice hero who save you one day. I'm sure the new timeline creator will finish sorting his mess soon and interfere with the other natural ability holder. Eventually you will be saved.
So saying, I ignore them and get out.
I'm finally free.
Free at the bottom of a river!
I struggle to breathe but I can't. I look over to where I come from.
Damn it. Damn you humanity and your wasteful nature. I will give you something one day, just you wait. I definitely will.
Next to me, there was a dead smartphone.
At the bottom of a river.

D Days
Dragons were the apex predators of the magical world, feared for their strength and intelligence. They stood at the pinnacle of creation, until mankind fueled by fear and envy banded together and struck them down as the greatest threat to the continued existence of their kingdoms. Peace reigned for many years across the continent, until an accident in the Magocracy of Ken turned one of the most powerful mage lords into a power mad lich. A great alliance consisting of the Kingdom of Light, the Magocracy of Ken, the Forest Kingdom of the Elves, the Mountain Kingdom of the Dwarves, and the Wild Tribes of the West rose up and the high lich was defeated, his armies destroyed, and his cult scattered. Still recovering, the world is a constant state of petty power struggles and back biting between nations.
