《The Archdevil's Descent》Chapter 4.

Yu stood in a clearing of pure white, in the middle of an endless empty plane. Am I dead? — he wondered, as he looked around. Where am i? Just as he thought about that the events resurfaced in his mind, — what led him to this place. He hastily grabbed at his chest, finding that the hole was gone.
He let out a sigh, not a moment after anger ignite in his soul. That twisted demon… that cruel nature had tricked him! It had betrayed him! It had… murdered him. He could only hope that the demon would spare his comrades, but there was no guarantee for that seeing how easily he turned on him.
He called himself Jaldabaoth, that was weird, considering it had introduced him as Demiurge earlier, demons shouldn't be able to lie about their names, it would be akin to erasing one's existence. Whatever… he couldn't mull over this matter any longer, he had more pressing things to do.
He had to return. Whatever it takes he had to return to the living world… Just as he thought about that a black cloud appeared before him. It loomed over him like a shadow that threatened to block out the sun, however in this place there was no such thing, and yet something still lighted up the environment. Two crimson orbs started down at him from the fog, — it was another demon he realized.
"Would you like to live? Although, your heart is all but gone… I can save you… if you let me in."
Said the specter in a gentle voice.
"I-… I want to protect my friends…"
"I can protect them for you, just let me possess you, and all your worries will go away."
"C- can you give me enough power to defeat that… that fiend?"

"No, you can't bear that much power… However, my powers are infinite, so long as you let me take control, I will make sure to murder that fiend for you. What do you say? It's a sweet deal, isn't it?"
"Will you give back control once you've done it?" Yu asked, as he whipped himself, how could he ask something so stupid. There was no way a demon would voluntarily let him go…
"If your will is strong enough human, then you can take back the control whenever you want."
Although Yu had been lied to before, by a demon no less, he also felt that this was quite rational.
"Alright, let's form a contract then." The demon said in a delightful voice as the obscuring dark fog cleared away to reveal a teen with long violet hair.
…
Guren coughed up a mouthful of blood before leaping to meet the demon's cursed black sword yet again. What the hell was up with this day?! Thankfully, the fiend had disappeared, with some luck it might encounters the vampires and then it would be their problem… but now Yu was overtaken by a greater demon, by Asuramaru no less.
Guren was relieved that Yu's life was saved, he must have fallen onto the blade after his heart was mercilessly ripped out. Though, why hasn't he suppressed that demon?! Could it be that he can't? But somehow, he had managed to contain the previous fiend to an extent before it decided to deny its order… and it was on a whole other level, this much Guren could tell. Could it be that the demon was never under Yu's control? No, it shouldn't be possible…
Guren was brought back to reality as he was blown away and crashed into the wall, creating a crater 10ft in diameter at his landing spot. He staggered to his feet, only to fall again. Is this my limit? He thought jokingly. No, it couldn't be. It can't be!

He let out a battle cry as he pushed himself to his feet once more.
Yu's face was smiling, — the demon was clearly mocking him.
"Demon! I won't let you defeat us! You only serve as a weapon nothing more nothing else!" Guren cried out, as he leapt at the possessed boy yet again. Poor boy had strange symbols all over his body, and his eyes were clouded over, as if he was in a distant place…
Guren's rush was met head on as the demon effortlessly parried his every blow with a single hand. The others got a grip on themselves in the meantime, and joined the fight, they would exorcise this evil out of their dear friend, even if they had to put their lives on the line.
Shinoa and Mitsu were still out cold, but Yoichi with his cursed bow provided support from the sidelines while Kimizuki joined and fought side by side with Guren wielding his cursed double swords.
…
After a long and exhausting battle their struggle had reached its climax. Guren was already laying motionless on the ground, many sword cuts spanning his body, — some were quite deep, — it was a miracle he still drew breath.
While Yoichi kept trying to reach Yu with kind words, he didn't shy away from shooting at him. Though, all his arrows were blocked with relative ease he kept trying to distract the demon.
They were fatigued already, but they couldn't give up on their friend, not now… they were so close, so close to getting through to him, just a bit more… just a little longer…
"Yu! Don't let that demon use you!" Kimizuki shouted.
"Ahh, how sweet~ … I am sorry, but Yu isn't here, not anymore." The way the possessed Yu spoke sent a chill down their spines, but they didn't relent.
"YU! Don't you remember what you've told me?! Why you wanted power?!"
The demon moved ever closer while the symbols throughout Yu's body blinked, and for a moment Kimizuki could swear that he saw Yu behind those empty eyes.
"Think of your family… think of Mika! Think of your unyielding desire to avenge your family!"
The demon's cursed blade stopped midair inches before reaching his neck. Kimizuki could see it. He was close enough… Yu's eyes cried blood as he stared at him, the demonic runes kept disappearing one after another as he stood there unmoving… a silent echo escaped Yu's lips.
"I cannot, I can't stop it." The blade in Yu's hand reversed itself and impaled his chest. Yu coughed out a mouthful of blood before staggering and welcoming darkness once more.
