ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATER
After about 30 minutes walking Eber pointed towards a cavern. "I-in there." She spoke quietly.
"Ember says we shoud go in there!" Bakugo said and head into the cave with Ember on his back.
The moment they had gone into the cave Ember yelled, "GET ON THE WALL!!!" Startling everyone.
Class 1-A calmored up against the wall. The moment the last person was on the wall a voice called out, "Ember Dearest?" Ember grabbed on to Bakugo with a death grip. "Oh Ember... I know you're around here somewhere. Are you using one of your quirks, I believe Death Mask it was called? Oh, whatever, I'll find you sooner or later. Maybe you're by the rotting trees." The sound of footsteps could be heard moving away from them.
After a couple minutes Ember slightly relaxed her grip on Bakugo. "What the Hell was that about?!" Denki asked.
"And what was that about a quirk called Death Mask? Sounded very scary." Aoyama shivered.
Ember looked away and Bakugo could feel Ember giving off small tremors. "Ember can you please tell us what happened."
Ember looked at Shinso with a pleading look. "Do you want me to use my quirk?" Ember nodded. "Okay. What did he mean by Death Mask?" Shinso asked.
Ember's eyes turned whtie as she said, "Death Mask is a quirk that conceals any amount of people I want from a certain person. All the person can smell is thesmell of rotting flesh."
"Who was talking in the cave?"
Ember whispered, "T-that was Israfael."
"Who is Israfael?" Shinso asked. Ember's eyes turned gold and Shinso lost his hold on Ember. It happened again. How odd."
"What happened again?" Aizawa asked.

"Something pushed me out of Ember's mind. I'm not sure what it was." Shinso said looking slightly confused.
"T-that wasn't me. T-that was... him." Ember whispered.
"Who's him?" Bakugo asked.
Ember just shooked her head and motioned for them to follow her. Ember lead them deeper into the cave until they reached a big cavern. It was a high ceiling and there was a fire going. In the middle of the cavern was what looked to be bed roll and sleepping bags. On one side of the cavern were two different hot spirngs. On the other side of the cavern was a beautiful waterfall. "Whoa... This is beautifull Ember!" Uraraka excalaimed.
"T-thanks. Y-you can t-take a bath in the hot springs, and t-there should b-be enough b-blankets a-and s-sleeping b-bags for everyone." Ember said with a small smile.
"Thanks Ember!" Momo smiled

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!

The Reaper's Legion
Earth: An advanced inhabitable world in the ideal colonizable range. Moderate temperatures and consistent weather patterns make this planet an incredible resource, along with a wealth of animals and wildlife beyond most worlds. Inhabited by the sentient species designated “Humans,” Earth would likely have joined the galactic community of its own accord. Levels of technology in local populace indicate a sharp trend towards interstellar travel, but still needs to make the last push to acquire reasonable interstellar technologies. Up until quite recently, Earth has not been a fully classified planet and was largely unknown. Due to biotic activity in the quadrant, however, attention has been drawn to Earth and many other possibly habitable planets in the regions, primarily for quarantine and control tactics. Matthew Todd was not a particularly unique human being before the meteors struck the earth. Average athletics, above average intelligence, but somewhat gifted in marksmanship, the post-apocalyptic earth has been a trial by fire for him and many others. Creatures that resemble bastardized wolves roam the land in packs numbering in the thousands. With entire cities decimated, those that remain are left with the harsh reality that they may be witnessing the end of humanity. And yet, there is a chance. Humanity knows they are not alone in the universe - the wolves are case enough for that - but what they do not know is that they are not alone in their plight. They are not without aid. Obelisks descend from the sky, giving the people a means to fight back. With tools ranging from guns to advanced mechanical apparatus and more bizarre tools, the people must cull the Biotics. Or, be consumed by the ever growing and mutating threat. Join Matthew in the fight to exterminate the Biotic threat, and to ensure the survival of human kind!
