《My Vampire Lover》Chapter 11-The Research

Y/n's Prov:
It's been two days since the incident. Jill has been teaching me how to use my powers and my mom has been teaching me how to hide my meif'wa side. Keith has been even more overprotective, but he isn't holding my hand tightly, at least.
Keith hasn't been hunting. He doesn't trust anyone to take care of me. I talked to Shiro, to see if he knew. Shiro told me it was mating season, so Keith doesn't want to leave me. I was interested in finding more, so I went to my parents.
I asked if I could read Dad's book. He went upstairs and got it. I sat down and started reading. I read about werewolves, witches, meif'was, fairies, and finally vampires. I skimmed through it, looking for something about mating season. I found it! I yelled in my head, in excitement. This is what I read:
"Mating season is the only time where two vampires can have a child. It lasts for a month. The pregnancy, on the other hand, is not affected after the month is over. If a vampire's mate is a human, fairy, meif'wa, werewolf, etc., then things will be different. For humans, they mark them. This process is painful, but effective. For fairies, the vampire will lock the fairy and bring the cage around. They lock up the fairy, so they can't grow big (human size). For meif'was, they are overprotective, but normally the meif'wa is the one in control. To learn more about vampires and meif'was mating season together, read the meif'was mating section....."
After reading that part, I went back to the meif'was section and looked for the mating part. When I found it, this is what it read:
"When a meif'wa is a vampire's mate, the meif'wa tends to get violent. They, not only hiss, but their eyes become red and they will kill whomever hurts their mate, this goes for all races mating with a meif'wa. Vampires are afraid of this because they can be killed by meif'was during mating season and tend to give meif'was more respect."

So that's why Shiro and the others are scared of Adam. I think to myself.
"What are you reading?" Keith comes into my room.
"Uhhhh...... nothing!" I say, hiding the book.
"You're lying......again."
"No! I'm not."
"Y/n, how many times do I have to tell you, I know when you're lying. One, you are terrible at lying and two, I'm your mate, therefore I can sense when you are lying to me."
"I...."
"I'm going to ask again...... What. Are. You. Reading?." He said, slower and aggravated.
"I.... I don't want to tell you."
He didn't like my answer and ran over to me. Before I could stop him, he grabbed the book. He looked at what I was reading and shook his head. He closed the book and started to walk out.
"Can I have my book back, please."
"No." He said, coldly.
Then he left. I brought my knees up to my chest. Did I do something wrong. I started to cry a little. Then I heard my door open. At the same time a pear of arms wrapped around me. I looked up and saw Keith.
"I'm sorry." Keith whispered.
"Why?"
"Because I was rude."
"No, why did you take the book?"
"Oh."
We sat in silence for a couple minutes. Keith sighed.
"Because I asked your parents not to tell you about mating season, and then they let you read the book."
"Technically, they didn't tell me."
"Don't try and be a smartass, Y/n."
"First off, language. Second, I can do whatever I want."
"Oh really kitten." He smiled sheepishly.
"Nevermind. Whatever idea popped in your head, I want out."
"Too late." He said, and we were outside.

"If you can do anything..... Lift that tree and place it back into the ground." He said.
Testing my magic I see. I closed my eyes and concentrated on the tree. I slowly move my arms forward and I move my arms up to lift the tree. I slowly lower my arms again to place the tree back. Then, I made a bubble and put Keith in it.
"Wait! This wasn't part of the plan!" He yelled.
"Like I said, I can do whatever I want." I smirked.
"Y/n, put me down please."
"Fine."
I snapped my fingers and the bubble popped. I ran inside right after I snapped. I got to my room and closed the door.
"I think I'm safe."
"Mmmmm. What's your definition of safe, kitten." Keith said, as he turned me around and pinned me.
"K-Keith, I'm sorry."
"You are?"
"Mhm."
"Liar." He whispered in my ear.
"Kei-"
Before I could finish, Keith placed his lips on mine. I tried to pull away, so I could talk to him, but he was much stronger. He pulled me in closer, one hand on the wall, the other on my waist. He broke the kiss and said:
"Can we take a step further?"
"What?"
"Hmmmm.... I'll just do it."
"What are y-"
He kissed me again. Then slowly slipped his tongue in my mouth. I was shocked, but I liked.... I liked it!
My parents calling my name ruined the moment.
"Y/n!"
"Thanks Mom and Dad for ruining a moment." I whispered to myself.
Keith laughed and let go of me. I went down stairs and saw dinner. Keith and I sat down and ate. I got double the rice because of Keith. I got up and did dishes with Keith. He kissed my cheek when we finished.
"I'm taking you hunting with me tomorrow." He said.
"Why?"
"I talked to your parents and they're okay with it. Jill has trained you well and if I get out of control, just put me in a bubble again." He said with a slight laugh.
"Okay." I said.
We go upstairs and sleep. I'm excited for tomorrow.
