《Master of All Trades》Hunger Part 2

'Shit. I'm starving. I want some stew.' As Raphael's mind lingered on the food he wanted the most at the moment, the wolf steadily approached its ex-prey now turned worst enemy with keen eyes.
Remembering the impending danger, Raphael ignored him and focused on the task at hand. Upon seeing the wolf he remembered the purple light from the white space he was in. "What was that place anyway?" He muttered under his breath trying to explain as many things as he could, but only one echoed through his mind: Why the hell is he fighting a wolf instead of running away?
For some reason, his body carried him where he found the wolf attacking the Smith family, but he still did not run away as if he was supposed to be there. It was as if the white space as part of the reason, but he ignored that as of now. Instead, he focused on something that happened in the white space. 'Fire.'
Yes. The enemy possessed a potent flame that burnt everything to a crisp, and somehow a small flame put that to rest. Raphael's survival instincts shouted at him to view that crucial detail, and he listened to its demands.
He positioned himself as he did in the white space with an outstretched hand and waited for the wolf to get closer. 'Ok, I get either one chance or none and this is an utter waste of time. I will probably die and become wolf food and eventually, it's shit. But I am not afraid.'
For some reason, the young boy that possessed fragmented memories that served no purpose at all had not a hint of fear. It was as if this whole process was meant to happen, like how a cog was an essential piece for the whole system to work, this moment was exactly the same.

The wolf had its pride hurt once already could no longer handle any other shame be cast on its name. It rushed in a fury that went unmatched in comparison to before. Raphael stood still as to not screw up his makeshift and as to not let his bowls in a way that would soil his pants.
As he closed his eyes in anticipation of the arriving violet mass of flames, he felt a small heat exit his palm and fly upwards towards the wolf. The small red flame weakly trembled in the wind, almost being snuffed by it. However, it seemed that the tenacious flame had a hunger that did not allow it to die out by any simple means, as it successfully touched the panic purple once more.
Soon enough purple turned to red in a matter of moments, and the wolf could tell that it would certainly lose if it backed down so rushed in a fervor that put its own flames to shame and jumped onto the small boy pinning him to the ground. The violet flames biting at his body and the massive maw that bit down on one of his arms. "AHHHHHHH!" Raphael could not help but yell in agony as his body burned and ripped into pieces. That was until the flames no longer burned but instead felt warm and soon he could feel the emotions they possessed.
He could feel it again. Not unlike the hunger, one would feel when they would go days without eating. However, this feeling. No, this sensation burned brighter and way hotter. It was the endless hunger that desired not just food to satiate a moment's hunger but one that desired to consume everything even after being full.
Raphael lost himself to his hunger once more and his mind only had one thought on his mind. "Hungry."

The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus.
