I froze. "Could you repeat that again? I think I'm sure misheard you."
"Congratulations sir, you have won a free HCO capsule. "
"Please contact DarkEden Industries for information about the installation process."
I hurriedly replied, and was unable to contain my excitement ,
As I heard that they would come the following day to install the HCO Capsule I had just won.
*Ding-Dong* -The door bell rang.
As I opened the door, there stood the capsule installers.
After negotiating where it should be installed, they quickly installed the HCO capsule and left.
I stood there for a few moments, dazed from the fact that I had actually won the HCO capsule.
Only 50000 capsules were being sold worldwide, excluding the 500 being given away.
The unbelievable odds of obtaining the capsule were beyond me.
30 minutes after scouring the internet for information about HCO,
The only other information announced was that it had a realism rate of 95%, and a pain-threshold of 40%.
a relatively high percentage that could not be normally shrugged off.
But also with that information, it was stated that once a reached a certain amount of time had passed,
or a certain extend of pain was afflicted, the system pertaining to pain would stop.
In 3 days, the HCO servers would go live.
DarkEden Industries announced that any extra information would systematically be released.
1 hour. In 1 hour, HCO servers would go live.
I showered and ate in preparation.
It was time. "3... 2... 1... Connect- Heaven's Calling Online."
In a feminine voice, the AI spoke,
"New user detected."
A screen appeared with the four races.
-"Please select your race. The four races included El-"
"Human," I interrupted. A pop-up appeared.
[Confirm human race? [Yes] [No] ]
I selected [Yes], and the pop-up changed.

[Human Confirmed.]
After selecting my race, another screen was projected. It was a projection of my body.
[Character Customization] appeared above the projection.
I altered my appearance in a way so that you wouldn't recognize me if you just glanced,
but if one had looked closely enough I would be somewhat identifiable.
Next, a 3D rendering of a map appeared.
There were four maps, and each centered around a town.
[Please select your starting town.]
The four towns were named as such: [Drei], [Skyr], [Kaya], and [Arke].
I chose one at random. Kaya. After selecting Kaya as my starting town, another screen appeared.
[Charater Name? ____ ]
I input 'Dragon.'
[Error- Name taken]
"Hmm... how about 'Phantom'?
[Error- Name Taken]
"Wth? I started once the servers launched, how could they already be taken?!"
'Douche'.
[Error- Name Taken].
'Shut Up'.
[Error- Name Taken]

After many more failed attempts, I ended up with a name that I forgotten about.
Enveloped by light, I was transported into Kaya.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.

Content warnings are there to give me some creative legroom later. There's not an excess of any gruesome content in the story, and what is there is tastefully sprinkled in. This is a LitRPG. Updates are twice a week on Mon/Fri plus some extras here and there.
