《Two dead men for a bloody coin》Chapter 8: Developments

P.O.V.: Thrall.
I lost count of the villages I killed, the bodies i've consumed, the hearts i've eaten, but I just know I need MORE! MORE! No! must control myself. My god then boomed in my mind. "FOOL! I GAVE YOU POWER AND YOU RESTRAIN YOURSELF! YOU ARE MY AVATAR AND YOU SHALL DO AS I COMMAND!" Each word burned into my mind in overwhelming amounts of pain, only getting greater with each second. my head shattered from the pain.
I fixed my head, and then I quickly remembered what I was here for. kill the angels and any who opposed me and become the hero of this realm. I had to go north, to find the angel gatekeepers, the elves. They were the ones that guarded the highest mountain which was the home to the angels, but to enter you had to complete their trial which they decided how you should show that you were pure enough to enter. You need to be pure. Pure violence. Pure.
They were hypocrite filth themselves, spreading lies of perfection and balance, making themselves out to be a model for all to aspire to, despicable. I would destroy everything they stood for and spread chaos across all. If there was no such thing as order, then chaos was the only way.
"You are learning well, thrall." God's voice calm and satisfied at my response. As I crushed the gates of the military town of veggr, I entered and cleaved the guards in half, cutting or lacerating with the serrated edge made to catch in the bodies for extreme pain on the victim's behalf. The blood spraying in the air and the screams of agony were soothing music to my ears.
"Quick, man the artillery!" Someone, presumably of higher rank than the fodder being sent at me shouted. Dead where he standed, he didn't even put up much of a fight. I put my arms out to either side and slowly walked forward. "Any last words?" Then the soldiers came out with ballistas, rifles, cannons. They aimed them all at me, the fools. They then released at me in a melody of explosions and bolts being shot at me. Dust and sand flew up in the air like a smoke screen along with the smoke from the cannons.
When the smoke and dust disappered, they saw me, unscathed. I quickly jumped over to the general aiming my sword at his heart, he swiftly knocked my blade out of the way and stabbed my eye with an estoc, I then ripped his heart out and ate it. Life is great when you are unstoppable. Unkillable.
Suddenly, a mage started chanting a spell and high ranked soldiers started forming around them and raised their tower shields into a wall. Before I knew it, the mage finished the incantation and I suddenly was chained and in a cell, my power stripped from me. Suddenly a giant fatty appeared behind the bars holding and axe and a notched whip. "Time for fun." The behemoth then opened the cage and walked over to me and whipped me, The pain unbearable and my screams the only thing I hear.

Is this the end of me? Will I ever become a hero? Well!?
"You will have your chance, but first, you must prove you are worthy of more of my power." God was my watcher, my guardian. He would make the pain worth it. I would become stronger. I was the greatest warrior, killing any demons, except Him. I must kill him. Kill. KILL. "KILL!" The chains holding me in place then broke and the illusion disappeared. I then mowed through the formation who cursed me and then razed the place to the ground. One place less to go, the elven gates next. Strange. What was that illusion? I have never heard of that spell.
P.O.V.: Kykvandi and Reivi.
These trees were as thick as my waist, and I didn't have anything good to train with. I tried punching the trunk. DAMN it hurt.
-Keep punching.-
Shut up.
-Keep punching it.-
I said shut up.
-Keep punching the tree.-
STOP TALKING!
The tree hit me square on my head. DAMMIT!
I kept punching the tree, holding it between my legs.
-You can't keep the anger inside forever.-
I saw a pile of blood at my knees. My fingers were broken all over.
"I woud rather that you keep your distance, I am practicing and I might accidently maim someone." I turned around to find Saethwyr with a straight face sitting down on a nearby tree stump and whittling small objects out of pine with his dagger, he was making a charm. "She suggested it." He didn't stray from the whittling process in his hands. Suddenly his arm blurred and I caught the knife with my hand and scowled at him. "If I really was trying to kill any of you, I would have done so long ago." He walked away.
"Why did you come here? Shouldn't you be asleep?" I asked him since it was an hour after the incident with Seicig. He continued to walk away. "If you see Seicig, tell her I'm deeply sorry for what happened." He stopped for a moment, and left the finished charm on the stump. I picked it up. it was an elven holy charm for protecting against evil spirits.
I felt sorry for Seicig. Accidentally hurting her like that, it made me feel angry at myself for hurting someone who was so friendly to me. My arm caught on fire, fueled by my anger. I relaxed my angry train of thought, and the flame disappeared.
Perhaps...
I held my left palm out, closed my eyes, relaxed and felt the energy swirl in my body and slowly let it flow into my hand.

When I looked, my hand had cracked skin and black lines pulsating through them. Then I tried to move it, and it crumbled to dust before my eyes.
-that's gonna hurt in the morning.-
Why did this happen when I tried to circulate energy through my skin?
-You are still adjusting, but you are doing fine. Now try channeling anger in your remaining fist.-
Doing as he said, I closed my right fist, and channeled my anger, which felt like a hot cinder, and channelled it all into my closed hand. It caught on fire, but it didn't hurt my left hand. I then opened my hand, and the fire moved onto my palm, and with all the power I could muster, I threw it at the stump. It fell onto the grass. Fuck. I put out the fire and walked closer to the stump. I kicked the charm off and put my burning hand on the stump. It wasn't catching fire, yet. I only managed char the surface before I had to stop. It was extremely energizing, addictingly so.
-Finally you can reunite with the rest of your clan.-
gehienak ez litekeena. They exiled me because I was far too genocidal, they would not overrule that because I can now control flames like everyone else can.
-Then just ask to do their trial to enter the demon's land and return when you have become their champion. You are a half demon after all.-
No. I'd rather stay away from them.
-Even with your new status as a full demon?-
They exiled be BECAUSE I am a demon. Nothing will change that.
-No. Only you can change that.-
Suddenly, someone thrusted an estoc through my throat from behind and tried to rip it out sideways to no avail. they pulled it out and started to run. I turned around and saw that it was Djarfr. I held her down. "You better have a good explanation for doing that." It came out a bit weird because of the hole in my throat but she understood it either way. "When I let go, you talk when I tell you to and you be quiet if not." I let go of her mouth and she lied down on her giant backpack, anger apparent in her eyes as she looked at me.
"Why did you let her do that?" She sheathed her weapons back and scowled at me. "You monster, hurting Seicig like that, have you no shame? you should kill yourself and make everyone's life easier." I looked at her and then focused a wisp of fire on my left hand only to remember it was gone. "Let me guess, no one would care if I died?" Djarfr spat at me and stood up. "You demons are all the same, destroying everything and manipulating people to believe you won't kill them when they're not looking."
"Then don't look away. Now go back to sleep. You silly little humans need it." I walked into the woods behind the inn to find some solace from the aggro with the group. I walked for a few minutes when I heard water trickling. These woods probably had a waterfall deeper in. Following the sound, I finally found a small waterfall with a large rock in the middle of the bottom pool. I removed all the clothes I had on and slowly walked into the water, which was cool against my skin.
I walked over to the waterfall and let the water cascade on my body, calming my mind, it would have made me lose myself in the moment if it wasn't for the water boiling when it touched me. My skin didn't do that normally.
-When you are in a trance, relaxed or very angry, your body and your skin change temperature because your brain thinks it is transforming into its demon form.-
Suddenly I heard something enter the water on the other side of the waterfall. I quietly exited the water and put my clothes on and sneaked away, but I turned around to see who it was that entered the water to see the naked back of Seicig, washing herself, her hair flowing down her back to her buttocks. I quickly turned back around and ran back to the inn at full speed, almost on all fours. I entered and ran noiselessly back into the room we were sharing and slid into my bedroll all the while not making a single noise as I was taught.
-You should be ashamed. You had a chance to have a piece of that ass, and you blew it. Why didn't you do her?-
Would you just fuck a woman you saw in the river?
-yes.-
Goodnight.
-Nighty night, cockblocker-

His journey to restore his memories pits him against monsters and questionable allies that seem to want him dead. Volume 2: Prequel to volume 1 that follows Cogito's narrative, a rising star that is tied to a family legacy he cannot escape. Connects the fragments in volume 1 and expands on the world of Dominia. **Author’s Note: Cover Art and Synopsis is subject to change. I just wanted to post my story here to get feedback and improve it, so it’s okay to be brutally honest! What I am posting is a rough draft so I don't mind rewritting whole chapters and segments of stories as long as it doesn't make the story worse haha. **Author’s Note: LitRPG elements begins in Volume 2, same with potentially traumatising content.
