《Lucky Me!》Chapter 4: Conclusion

Before I start making my moves, I decided to check my state of mind. I’m calm. I’m calm. Just kidding! I’m very scared! Wait! Don’t panic myself. Calm down… you can panic later but not now.

First, I don’t know where I am currently at. I thought about it over and over, and I can confirm that I’m not even in United States anymore! The language that these people spoke and yelled out I’ve never heard of it. It doesn’t sound similar to any language I’ve learned and heard throughout my 20 years of lifetime. I know, I know… that’s not that long but still! I live in New York. I see and hear people of diverse race yet this language is way too different. It’s hard to explain. Gibberish? No, no, it sounds better than that. Let’s just say it sounds unique.

Second, what should I do now? I am in a world where I have no knowledge, and I have killed six people. That’s right I need to quickly leave the scene of crime! I have to run away from this place far as possible. But, where do I head to? From where I am standing and facing, I can see road to my left and road to my right. On my front I see many trees, seems to never end and to my back it’s the same. Do I go left or right? Hm… Oh well, eeny meeny miny moe…

It’s decided I will travel to my left! And then suddenly I was struck by my own realization. How far will I have to travel in order to get out of this forest? You may wonder how I figured out that this place the forest. Heh, heh… then let me tell you! It’s because to my left, right, front and back I see no path that is inclining nor declining. Simply all the paths are straight with no hills to walk over or go down on! I’m a genius aren’t I? Anyways, I don’t know how far I will have to travel but it can take a day or two… or even longer! I don’t have food nor any supplies…

…………

After thinking for few minutes I have decided to take what these people had. Would this be considered as robbery too? I wonder… but now is not the time to worry about that. Sorry, people but I will have to take your belongings. I decided to check the corpse that was closest to me which was the guy in suit. I almost puked again. The corpse started to smell and looking at it gave off an eerie feeling. I can never get used to corpses no matter how many times I saw including ones at the forensics labs.

I looked close at the corpse and looked for pockets. It was hard to find the pockets due to the blood covering up the clothes. When I found them, I reached my hand into the pockets. The first few pockets I searched I couldn’t find anything but the last inner pocket that was located inside of his coat seemed to have something. It was a leather pouch with decent weight. I opened the pouch and looked into it and it was coins that was made out of gold, and silver only. I took all of it out and counted it out. 1 gold and 25 silver coins. Score! I guess I don’t have to worry about money for now. I’m not sure how much the coins are worth but hopefully it’s enough to be put to use. I mean, come on! Gold coin? Has to be worth something right? After I finished checking the guy in suit, I decided to check the rest of the corpses.

………..

It took a while because they were heavy to move around, and guess what I got! Nothing! The bandits had nothing with them. Except their weapons. Sigh… It’s okay though, I still have one main stash remaining to be checked on. The carriage. Oh, all mighty carriage! What kind of stashes are you carrying?

I walked to the carriage and climbed onto it. It was actually very spacious. Enough to fit about 8 people and the mini cell. There were many bags and boxes and I decided to search them thoroughly.

……….

So far I have found 4 small fancy glass bottles with light green liquid in them. It looked like common lime sodas that you can find in stores. Of course, I didn’t know what it was so I decided to smell it. It gave a scent of lemon which confused me because the color was light green. I didn’t seem dangerous so I decided to take it with me.

Next, I found a sword that had a fancy scabbard. The scabbard had beautiful flower engravings on it. The engraved flowers on the scabbard had the color of blue and the rest of the scabbard was the color of black. I decided to take the sword too.

Last but not least, I found a box that was tightly sealed with a lock. I tried opening it by smashing the lock over and over with the sword, and it opened up. That was probably not the smartest way of opening the lock but it worked! When I looked inside of the box there was a weird looking egg with cushions surrounding it. Why was it weird? Well, its size was similar to a basketball and it had many circular patterns on it. It makes me feel dizzy looking at it, and gave me this weird feeling. I’ve never seen anything like it. Maybe it’s the size that’s intimidating me. Oh, well, I took it anyways.

In the end, I decided take all of the things I found, and put them all into my bag. Unfortunately, the carriage didn’t have much. I was kind of bummed out until I actually noticed that I have no space left in my bag. So, now I needed to throw out my books in order to create the space that was needed. Sigh… These textbooks were so expensive… I guess I have no choice right? As I threw them far into the forest, my heart ached knowing how expensive they were.

Currently these are the items that I have in my bag.

· Bottle of Water

· 4 Small Fancy Glass Bottles with Light Green Liquid in them.

· 2 Snickers

· 2 Sour Patch Kids

· 1 Bottle of Nyquil

· 1 Bottle of Aspirin

· 1 Large Egg

· Coins

· Clip of ammo for Glock 26

· Sword/Fancy Scabbard

Now, I have emptied everyone’s pockets and the carriage it’s time for me to leave the scene of crime. Before I do leave though I decided to turn off my Iphone, it had about 80% battery because I might need the flashlight from it during night time, and not having enough battery life won’t do. I really do hope it lasts long time. I also double checked for the bullets I currently have in my handgun just in case I needed to use it again. Standard clips of Glock 26 has 10 bullets and I fired my gun seven times against the bandits which brings me down to 3 bullets. Hopefully this is enough against wild life or enemies. Luckily I have another clip of ammo in my bag but that’s all. In worst possible outcome, I will use the sword that I brought with me.

I have finally finished preparing and decided to leave. Thus I turned around to my left and began to walk down the road.
