《Lucky Me!》Chapter 3: Instinct 2

The loud noise echoed through the area, and in that instant, the bandit on my left was killed and I have committed my first murder. It wasn’t a pleasant view. I can see the blood gushing out through the hole that his head had. I also noticed that part of his brain matters were splattered on the floor. Looking at this I gagged a little and was about to puke, but I held back. Damn, seeing the real thing in front me, it’s completely different from the dried corpses that I saw in Forensic labs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bandits were surprised and left speechless. From their point of view, one of their men was killed instantly without being even able to get up. It all happened way too fast. It was just not fair for them. Was it one of the unique abilities that this boy had? Did he obtain chant less magic upon coming to this world? Normally, you would have to be a person with high level in order to put skill points into the chant less magic. It wouldn’t be possible for a person who just got summoned because his level will be guaranteed to be 1. Of course, the bandits are confused and were rapidly making endless amount of assumptions in their heads. They have never witnessed a gun. Why? Because it simply does not exist in this world. Nobody ever bothered to make such weapon because they had magic. Magic was very convenient and powerful, but at the same time magic was not completely superior to those who have invested into physical abilities.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The shock only lasted for about 10 seconds. The bandits came back to reality and they pulled out their daggers and swords, then they took a fighting stance while pointing their weapons at me. I wasn’t too worried though because I had decent amount of distance between us. When did I create that distance? It was when the bandits were surprised and was unable to move. I decided to create much distance as possible sprinting away from them. I was out of breath, and grasped for air. At the same time, I felt the adrenaline rushing in me. I felt as if my senses were heightened and became jittery. As I point my gun at them, I can see my hands shaking. No good, I can’t properly aim. I breathe in and out hoping to calm down. Then I hear a loud shout that was incomprehensible which gave me the chills. It was the voice that I heard from earlier. The one that seem to lead these men.

(What happened?)(Head of the Bandit)
(Sir, this boy just killed one of our men in one go.)(Bandit2)
(What? How is that even possible? Was it magic?)(Head of the Bandit)
(No, sir. It was chant less and was faster than any magic that I have ever seen my life! It also gave off a loud noise!)(Bandit2)
(If it’s not magic, you guys have nothing to be afraid of! You guys are not afraid of a kid, are you now? He doesn’t even have any sword or dagger on him. Hurry up and get that bastard. Don’t kill him though because we still need to sell the boy, but you can stab him and torture him. Just keep him alive. Now GO!)
After the bandit finished his speech while shouting, the men who pulled out their weapon started to run toward me while shouting.
(((AHHHH)))(Bandits)
Because of sudden shout, I got scared and pulled the trigger. This time I was not able to think about my morals, everything just happened spontaneously and I had no time to think or be calm.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Again, you can hear the noise echo through the air. After the three loud bangs the three bandits that were running with such strength and vitality seconds ago have lost all of it and fell to the ground. One of them did not die like the other two, because he was shot in the lungs, but surely he would meet his death soon enough.
(Kuuk… Ho..w is this poss..ible..)(Bandit5)
As he said some words that I could not comprehend while coughing out blood, he finally gave in and collapsed. After shooting these three men I looked ahead to where the carriage was. I saw the man in suit and a bandit. They both looked surprised and puzzled to what just happened in front of them.
What I noticed was that there seems to be only 2 more people left. I didn’t see anyone else in carriage when I was near the cell nor around the carriage other than the soldiers that were just killed. I took quickly changed my aim toward the bandit since he had a weapon drawn out. He was more of a threat than the man in suit behind him. When I aimed at him he came running at me while shouting words that I cannot understand. I wished for him to stop doing that.

(You Brat!!!!)(HBandit)
So then I fired another shot.
Bang!
Thank god for the adrenaline. I didn’t feel any hesitation rather all I felt was relief that I can live on. I can survive.
The bandit didn’t stand a chance. The bullet I fired pierced through his head and the man’s body fell and made a loud thud noise. It sounded like the noise it would make if I were to drop a brick from my height. Witnessing the instant death the man in suit started to scream and run. Seems like he wasn’t expecting this sort of outcome. I didn’t want to kill him because he seemed to be harmless but I can’t let any witnesses of the scene run away. So I ran fast as I can, chasing after him in order to keep him in my sight and shot him.
Bang!
The man fell and started to scream in pain. I can hear the sound of his scream even though I was about 15 meters away. I caught up to him and pointed the gun at him. He grabbed onto my legs and started to say words that I cannot comprehend again.
(Ahh, my legs! Please, don’t kill me. Please, save me! It hurts… I’ll give you anything you ask, so please! Have mercy!)
It seemed like he was pleading for his life but I can’t do anything. I can’t have any witnesses alive. If I were to let him go and he was to tell the policemen in this region that I killed 5 people, I would be sent to prison and I would have to rot away there. Of course, I’m not sure anymore where I am or what world I’m in or if I’m still in New York or not but it would make all the killing I did just now to fight pointless.
I look at him with pity and guilt, then I fire off another shot.
Bang!
The grip that his hand had on my legs were gone and he fell to the ground.
2 minutes have passed since the suit guy’s death. My adrenaline started wear off. As my adrenaline wore off, I started to realize what I have done. I have killed 6 people in total with my gun. It was a massacre that I created. I was feeling nauseous and gagged once again. This time though I ended up throwing up. I took out the water bottle from my bag and drank some water to cleanse my mouth.
“Disgusting”
I said aloud. The water helped me calm down a little, and I end up asking myself.
What should I do from here and now on?
