The commander then turned around with his rifle pointed towards the noise and saw the person called grandpa that is wearing a black suit like them that he currently has no idea who this person is.

"Please stop fighting!" The old man pleads. "And who you might be?" The commander asks.

"I'm the chief of this small settlement! Please stop fighting. That person is not the enemy. In fact. He and my grandson killed the Alpha and a whole lot of monsters before he saved my grandson from certain death."

"Oh? Is that true?" He slightly glanced at Souji who's in a defensive stance since the muzzles are still pointed to his head.

"That's true. So please stop trying to kill me now damn you."

"Regroup! Get the down allies onto the truck"

"Roger!"

Moments later. They are now all at the back of the truck which is driven by an AI that is being headed towards the village slowly, the commander spoke. "I haven't introduced myself. I am Staff Sergeant Thomas Wendel. It's nice to meet you." "Hector Mercer. The chief of the village you're about to go into right now."

"Okay. This guy? Do you know him?" "I may be. But it's better to just ask his name, right?" And they both looked towards a certain direction simultaneously. "Oh… Souji." He replied to them.

"And that's it?" Thomas questioned. And with a serious look, he added. "No family name or something? How the hell are we going to identify you with just your first name."

"Fine... Okita Souji."

"So Souji is your family name."

"No..! It's Okita."

"Then you reversed your name with that."

"No. All right. It's… Souji Okita." *Seems like these people use a different system of naming.*

"Okay. Souji… Okita, got it."

"So Souji is your name." Hector softly spoken.

"Huh?"

"Oh... Alexander just mumbles your name before the operation, that's all. Then after that. We heard gunshots so I rushed towards here."

"I see. So that guy is okay?"

"Yes, he is. Recovering as of currently."

"Okay."

"By the way sergeant. This gentleman here and one of my kids managed to take down the Alpha."

"The Alpha? Is that true? But there's no way these two managed to do such feat."

"We did." Souji interrupted. "It's a level three monster. We did. Alexander did a good job."

"Okay. Let's say that you did. How?"

"We fought it. That's it. And I dealt the killing blow by decapitating it." He replied to Thomas while showcasing his Katana.

"I do believe it to some degree, fine. Since up until now we haven't even encountered any monsters despite being reported that the vicinity has monsters lurking around. Would you mind telling us where's the monster has been killed then?"

"I don't know the exact spot. But head south and you should be able to see a spot where trees are burned to ashes. Just around it and you would be able to see the corpse."

"Okay, thank you for the info."

"Sergeant. Since my kids killed it. Would you mind us having it? It definitely would be a great help to our village."

"Okay. As an apology for what we did earlier. We'll give it."

"Thank you so much."

After that. They arrived at the village.

As soon as Hector got down from the truck. Many villagers greeted him.

"Chief! Are you alright!" A woman worriedly asks.

"Yes, I am."

"That person!" Somebody shouted as Souji also got down.

"Everyone! No need to worry! He's an ally. Stop being wary of him. He saved Alexander, after all."

"You're village seems safe." Thomas said to Hector.

"Yes, it is. There's nothing to worry about our village. Sergeant."

"All of them are carrying catalysts. Mind telling me about it?"

"Well. These weapons are just sent by the royal government for our protection. We're an independent village, ya' know? We also have some suits if a situation arises, like this one I'm currently wearing."

'Okay then. We'll be on our way to retrieve the Alpha's corpse and we'll deliver it here later."

"Thank you, Sergeant."

The soldiers then left to do what they have to and the dome has been lowered after it is lifted when the two entered.

"Listen, everybody! This person is not an enemy. Actually, he and Alexander took down the Alpha that causes the horde to shift towards here. But now that the Alpha is no more. We are now safe. Let us welcome him here and stop being so wary about him. As he may be going to stay here for now."

"Stay!? Chief? You mean he'll be here forever from now on?" A voice among the crowd rang forward.

"I don't know. But for now. He'll stay here."

"Mister. May I ask. How's Alexander now?"

"This way, Souji. He's just currently recovering now. If you wish to meet him. Let's go, I'll lead you to him."

"Thank you."

While they're walking. A few folks walk beside Hector and talk to him on the while.

"Chief, are you sure about this?"

"Yes I am. Please. Treat him with modesty from now on he saved my grandson's life. If not because of him. I wouldn't have met him again."

"Okay… If you say so. Then there's nothing we can do to change your mind."

"Thank you, for understanding."

Until later. They arrived at a two-story building. All the surrounding buildings are all made of metal from the inside out because of the constant danger of monsters as they are an independent village, which means that they are a self-sustaining village, they get food and supplies by buying or trading. Even hunting monsters is a viable option for them as monster meat can be eaten. Although they are only capable of hunting the weak ones. Mostly level one monsters.

They entered past through doors until they arrived at a certain room.

Inside. They found Alexander eating porridge while sitting on his bed.

"Ah... Souji!"

"You're already good and is now eating, huh? Just then your insides are almost going out."

"Uh, yeah! I'm okay now. How about you? You're arm…"

"It's fine. It grows back."

"Grows back?" The dumbfounded Hector ask.

"Yes, mister. I seem to heal parts of my body in mere seconds."

"You had such magic?"

"I don't know… Maybe?"

"I see. And your clothes are tattered all over. There are also holes in your clothes. From bullets?"

"Seems so. Those things went through my body, after all."

"I see. But that kind of magic is extremely important and rare, I'll talk to you about this later and provide you some clothes to switch to. In the meantime. I'll ask somebody to fix your clothes for you."

"Thank you."

"You wanted to talk with Alexander, right? I'll leave you two, for now, I'll have to talk to those folks outside first about your situation, haha."

"Hah... Thank you again, mister." With a soft smile, he replied as Hector left.
