Race was currently staring at the amount of material available at the Beginner Mechanic level. It was many times more than what he expected. This was because at the level of a beginner mechanic, the amount of topics dealt with are immense. Only at the Beginner Mechanic level will one be allowed to work with mechs.
Mechs were far more complex than mobile armors and that is why there is a sudden hike in the difficulty in the Beginner Mechanic level. The Variations were limitless, So were the research papers and study materials. When a Mechanic Reached this level he will slowly move focus himself into a single aspect. He does have practical knowledge of the various important components to make a mech work. But he will be more inclined to increasing a single parameter or specific function of the Mech.
Now Race was facing this same dilemma. Whether to be a master in a few fields or to be a jack of all trades. " There is saying; a jack of all trades is a master of none, most people end it here. But the entire saying goes like this, A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one".
To others the Idea of learning all of the different topics available at the Beginner Mechanic level seems impossible, But not for Race. Race's Mental capacity was already equal to one at the Advanced Mechanic level. Combine that with his total concentration ability, he can easily pull that off.
The hologram panel was showing the various branches that Race can focus on. " I would like learn it all", Race stated his decision to the AI. A confirmation prompt asking Race whether he was sure about his choice appeared. To which a resolute Yes was Race's reply.

A list containing a huge number of topics and materials was shown before Race. " Wow, No wonder many choose to focus on a single field." Race shook his head as he selected the first topic in the list. " It is gonna be a while before I finish all of this". Race then focused on the topic that appeared in his hand.
He had already entered his total concentration. Race did not feel anything around him. The material was all that he could see. All his brain power was focused on etching the words too his memory. He was motionless as he read through topics and topics, memorising every research paper.
He stayed like that till the timer he had set went off. It reminded him it was time for him to refine Mana. Race went to have lunch with his brothers. They were enjoying their casual talks when Magnus asked about what Race decided to focus on.
" Everything", was Race's reply.
"What do you mean by everything, Do you believe that you can do it", Magnus seemed a bit agitated.
" I do. I really believe I can do it", Race prepared himself to argue with his senior.
" You sure about that ?", Magnus asked after calming himself.
" Yes". Race gave his answer.
" Ok then, If you believe that you can do it, do it." Magnus said casually.
Race was stunned as he was expecting a lengthy argument. Seeing Race was startled Magnus said,
" I know you are different than the rest of us. You are smarter. I don't know your limits. I don't know whether you know it as well. So I thought it was better to let you try. All I know is that it is way beyond my limits. I am incapable of deciding what you should do. It is more than assured that you can learn everything in the Beginner Mechanic without a hitch."

Race was perplexed for a moment then he thanked him." Thank you for believing in me Brother Magnus, Don't put me on a pedestal, I still need you guidance as well."
" Yeah, right for how long. You will be reach my level in under a year and then I will be the one needing your guidance."
" No worries Big Brother Race, I will guide you", the mischievous voice of Sione was heard. To which Race answered with knuckle rub on Sione's head. " Yeah, Please guide me Sione," Race continued to knead his knuckle on Sione's head. Till Sione, who was the stronger of the two easily overpowered Race. Sione kneaded Race head till Magnus stopped him, only after a hearty and long laugh.
Race and the others returned to their rooms. In his room Race sat cross-legged on his bed as he began tonight's Mana refining.
Race brought his breathing under a rhythm. He took in a substantial amount of Mana, more than what he took in last night. Race was determined to increase the rate of his progress, he had decided to push himself to the limits of his endurance. The amount of Primal Magicules liberated was more than enough to make a grown man die from the pain. But Race gritted his teeth as used it to further strengthen his body, Slowly changing every cell to be more conductive towards the new form of energy.
He did it for 10 times this night. As last nights stunt made his body more accepting of this new energy. Race summoned his status screen.
The progress had jumped from 12% to 48%. His pain was rewarded. He was just a couple of days away from reaching the body strengthening level one. The uneasiness Race felt was still there constantly reminding him of an impending danger.
The next day Race woke up and got ready for breakfast. Race was met with a surprising news. His senior brother was going to spar with him.
" Race help get in to shape." Magnus said
As they walked to the training arena.

BattleField - A Never-Ending Nightmare
Twenty-Three million souls. It takes twenty-three million souls to feed the horrors of the Great Beyond for a soul to cross over and land amongst the living. And even then, it would only be a husk of its true self after the whimsical gods of the void got their claws on it. Still, after eons untold, its final crossing shall take place in blood-soaked lands, driving fear into the hearts of its inhabitants. Alistair finds little wrong with himself, that's not considering he somehow was the last living being to have taken part in a battle to decide the fate of the Human world. He remembers walking shoulder to shoulder with his brothers in arms, being showered in the viscera of his closest friends. He also remembers being stabbed by a twelve foot monstrosity as it picked him up with its sharpened blade of a hand, relishing his stunned expression and the soon to be blossoming of pain as it brought him closer to its putrid mouth. And yet, here he stood in a silent battlefield littered with bodies for acres of land. What the hell was he supposed to do now? And equally important, what the hell was he supposed to do with this orb of golden light?!
8 160The Depths of Magic
Synopsis It's the year 2052 and the release of the new next-generation full-dive VRMMO game called The Depths of Magic is hitting the world by storm. The game's technology will surpass all other games before it and shock the masses. Hector who goes by the name Locke inside the game is an experienced player of the genre. He is looking to continue his goal of enjoying gaming as well as the competition that goes along with competing for the top ranking spots. Novel Summary The Depths of Magic is a LitRPG novel focused on a Fantasy VRMMO setting. This is not a harem novel. In-Game systems The Depths of Magic features state-of-the-art technology never before seen in Hector's world. The key system the novel will bring up often is the Second Brain. The Second Brain system is more like a guidance AI for the players in the game that acts as if you had a second brain assisting your every action. How much guidance this AI will give is based on its experience or mastery skills a player will receive in the game. The guidance is seamless to a point where a player won't even realize they are being assisted, it's will feel like what they are doing is something they could always do. However, once they leave the game it will become quite apparent that they were receiving heavy guidance. The purpose of this system in a writing sense is to explain why a player can realistically become more powerful, more agile, or more skilled than they would otherwise be able to as a human. To give an example if someone could move faster than a bullet, how would a normal human brain be able to perceive and control this movement properly. Or how could a player who has never held a sword before become as experienced as someone who has trained with the sword all their lives? The magic system will be another focus of this novel. I don't want to spoil anything here but it should be an interesting one. The hope is that the system I have made will spark discussion between the readers on what combinations will do what. I already have most of it, but it will be fun to read as the author. Side notes My general focus for this novel is to attempt to make the in-game systems make sense. To give a vague example I have read a lot of novels of this genre and some have the habit of just creating such powerful items that it just breaks the system, and somehow the MC keeps finding challenging situations even with those items. What tends to happen when I read a novel like this I just ignore the stats of the items he is getting because the numbers don't even matter anymore. Release schedule: The chapter release schedule due to real-life complications is to release as I write them. Patreon setup: 1 chapter early release/discord access. Free content up to the current chapter includes an excel sheet that contains Locke's current stats at the end of the chapter. This is extra information for those that are interested.

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Abraham Penrose and Escyra Stärenholm threw away everything to be together. Their careers, money, and even their families were cast aside so they could live a life on the road. Both were proficient mages and felt they could take on anything as long as they had each other. They were even able to afford a small sail boat after months of saving up. Escyra wanted to see the northern lights, and Abraham was set to propose. That is, until a hurricane destroyed their boat and flung the lovebirds to different corners of the fantastical world of Zaltier. Follow both protagonists in their struggle to reunite as they discover the world, themselves, and most importantly: Love. *** Updates...as I write them. Will have a proper one post-write-a-thon! (The Gore tag is there due to action scenes. I don't plan on being overly verbose about anything, it's there so everyone feels safe!)
