Markus looked back at his shaking and dejected nephew
Ushering him to leave his office to take care of her sister. Once Mark was gone. Markus contemplated on the series of events that had occurred.
Markus sighed at the coincidence of all that had happened.
Why and how it may be connected to the incident ravaging their lands? What should he do?
A soft cough had woken him up from his deep thought.
One of The book shelves glimmer then fade and disapear. Showing an old man covered in coiled essence. Looking at Markus with disapproving eyes.
"Young man. You disappoint me. You didn't need to scare the young lad."
" I know, but it was needed to keep them safe"
"You do know that since the young lass had her magic awaken, I can take her under my tutelage, and teach her the way."
Markus sigh and looked at the old man seriously " You must be joking. I can't have the Saint Lucio take in my niece."
"Why not? I've seen the lass in the infirmary, I can see the talent in her, even if she had already burnt her mana conduits it not something I can't heal." Lucio said.
"I don't know. I'll let Sam make that desicion once she's alright, after all its her future where talking about."
"Well that will be hard to do. The scholars are already eyeing up your niece. Same with the wizards."
Startled Markus asked "How? Why?"
"Well it seems that more than one of the survivors of the village had seen the young lass doing her own miracle."
Looking serious Markus asked. "Tell me all that you know."
The saint smirked "Well you see. After clarifying and doing some investigation on the matter, we found out something interesting.

The old man joe that your nephew mentioned seemed to be from one of the wizard chapter in the capital. That and he seems to be partly responsible to the spreading of the grey beast."
Markus nodded " Right I've heard of that from the wizards we had brought along. They said that there was some sort of ritual bieng done on the village."
Saint Lucio nodded " Yup. To be exact the village was slowly turned into a nest of some sort. The ground was imbued with corrupted essence. The same essence we found in the grey beast. It looked like he had planned on turning the villagers into grey beast. Lucky for us the young lass awakening seemed to overload the ritual being done. Just Amazing."
"But that's not the end. After I had checked on the healing being done to the survivors. I noticed that your nephew was inflicted with corrupted essence, that I do believe will slowly turn him into a grey beast. The only saving grace that he had not lost his essence to the corruption is due to the arcane insignia on his forehad that the little lass had allegedly placed on him. Just impeccable."
Markus was speechless at the saints panther. He didn't know how would the lass know how to inscribe arcane letters just after she had awaken. Something didn't match up.
Noticing the reaction Saint Lucio couldn't help but grin "Just from the investigation and the testimonies I had gathered. Its no wonder everyone is eyeing up your niece. So that's why I need her to be under my wing. She will be my apprentice. With that talent and knowledge along with the right mindset. She will inherit all the knowledge and power I have. She will become a saint sooner or later."

Saint Lucio Laugh maddly at the prospect of someone worthy enough to inherit his power that he didn't notice the commander's solemn and serious look as he went into deep contemplation.

Nameless Hypocrite
"Bastard, surrender yourself!" "You think you can escape our encirclement?!" "An omnicidal fiend like you can only atone in death!" Noticing the light smile tugging at his lips, the pursuing heroes warily watched him, cautious of a final attack. It was only by working together that they could corner a monster like him. An arrow pierced the air, beelining towards the young man.
