《Sam's memories》12 wake up?

I had woken up and felt sore all around.
Sitting tiredly straight up and rubbed my eyes awake.
I looked around. Im in a room? Looking out the window.
It was in the middle of the night.
I felt hot, sticky and icky all over.
My head hurts, my arms and legs felt sore.
Did i get a fever?
I seem to had a lovely dream.
What happened.
I need to organize my thoughts.
It was my birthday.
We where celebrating.
We where having fun.
Even dad came back home.
And somehow I can't remember more.
Was that part of the dream? It felt too real.
Was it due to my fever?
Suddenly I heard two people whisper "dont go, stay".
Screaming I leaped out of the bed.
Feeling my legs give up on me. I fell prone on the floor.
My heart was beating fast.
As I try to relax myself. Feeling something was wrong.
Looking around i notice the odd things hanging on the walls.
This is not my room.
This is not my house.
The whispers once again came.
"Stay, safe here"
The voices now seem to belong to two people.
Shacking I weakly stood up.
Why is it so silent?
I strugled with my shaky knees and braced myself on the wall heading towards the window.
Why is no one here?
Looking down I can see the greenery.
Opening it up I went and crawled outside falling into some bushes.
"Stop, don't go" said the whispers.
I should not listen.
I need to find mom and my brothers
I can feel it.
Something is wrong.
Getting my bearings I started to slowly make my way away from the weird house.
Why would anyone kidnapped me?
Looking back at the house
I noticed it looked familiar.
Wasnt this the witches house?

Did she kidnapped me?
Didn't she disappear?
I forced myself to slowly walk back to my house.
It was dark.
Luckily My home was close by.
Passing by the river I decided to waddle across.
Its much faster this way And the cold water may help with the burning pain I feel in my legs.
After all the river isn't deep.
Sucking up air as I went waist down into the cold river in the middle of the night.
Once I was on the other side I could help but shiver from the cold but my home is so close now.
"Don't, not safe" said the voices.
I need to perservere.
Walking through the woods I notice some lights and smoke in the middle of the village.
What's happening? Why is there a large bonfire?
I quicken my pace towards the house.
Pushing the door open I noticed it was too quiet.
"Mom?" I shouted and no one answered
Heading towards the stairs I shouted "Mark?"
No one answered
Checking their rooms I called out "Al? Alvin I'm home!"
Still silent
Dread had settled in.
Walking down back downstairs I shouted "Calum? Cal where are you?"
Still no answers.
I started to panic.
Heading towards the kitchen I shouted "come on guys this is not fun!"
"Dont go" said the voices but it was too late.
There I stood frozen.
My breathing getting shallower and harder.
On the table.
Is half a cake.
With happy 9th written on it.

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.
