Ross and an Old Man enter.
Old man
Back in my day, I’d seen some horrors you young’uns can’t imagine. Our criminals were so much tougher and yet nobody dared to do some thing like this. We respected our kings.
Ross
(Rolling his eyes).
Yeah, yeah, ok boomer. Even the sky looks mad. It’s supposed to be day yet these clouds are blocking out the sun. I wonder if it’s dark because there’s such evil in the world.
Old Man
It’s about as unnatural as you young’n’s hair color. Are you trying to embarrass your parents? Last Tuesday a falcon was killed by a lowly owl.
Ross
Some wicked rad shizz has been happening. Duncan’s horses, which are swift, beautiful and the best money can by, as all nobles deserve. Suddenly went wild and broke out of their stalls. Refusing to be obedient as the should. They seemed to think they were at war with all mankind.
Old Man
I heard the horses ate each other.
Ross
I saw that with my own two eyes, it was wicked gross. Here comes Macduff.
Macduff enters.

Macduff
Check it for yourself bro.
Ross
Do y’all know who committed such a wicked bad crime?
Macduff
The dudes Macbro killed.
Ross
Shame, I wonder why they did it?
Macduff
They were paid, obvi. Malcolm and Donny B, ran away so they defs did it.
Ross
None of this feels right. What a stupid idea. Does this make Macbest boi king?
Macduff
Yeah dude, he’s already been named king and left to be crowned.
Ross
Where is Duncan’s Body?
Macduff
It was taken to Colmekill to lie with his daddies where the bones of all kings are kept.
Ross
You off to the coronation?
Macduff
Nah, fam. I’m off to Fife.
Ross
Damn, guess I’m off to see it.
Macduff
Hope all is well. Peace mate, here’s hoping shizz don’t get worse.
Ross

Old Man

If you're reading it and thinking "Gosh, why aren't 'they' doing some 'obvious' thing." Bad news. You probably missed something that explains exactly that. If you're seeking a light read that doesn't ask much of you as the reader, you're invited and very welcome to come on in, but this might not be the story for you.
