"Haha! I found you dad!" Artyom happily shouted at Seal Mamasha. "Dang, I really thought this shrub was a good hiding spot. How on Earth did you find me?" Artyom ran in a circle. "I saw your head peeking from the top!" Seal laughed. "Good job!" Pistolet walked over to her son, a great kid. Seal Man didn't have a name, so we gave him one. Funny for your legal name to be Seal, huh? After Hun, my voice has never been the same. I can only speak quietly, and no one really knows why. A thick white scar extended from one side of her throat to the other, pronounced now by the really long dark brown hair that came pouring down her shoulders like a waterfall. Seal and Mamasha were now 29, their son 6. They looked each other in the eyes and smiled. Pistolet spoke in her calm, quiet voice. "Come on Artyom, let's go make some ham sandwiches. I think we all are really hungry. Don't worry, I also got Chili lime chips too." Artyom jumped in the air. "Yay!" In their large backyard, a small stone with a name engraved in it. Hun Liuxing, 2020-2049, 29 years aged. She was a terrible person, but accidentally brought Seal and Pistolet together in the first place. She also taught them the importance of carrying on, regardless of what happened. All she did was bring terror and strife to the world, but still had a sense of honour in her. She could have killed everyone in the places she entered, but she didn't. She was still almost a pure embodiment of evil though. Thats why her rock was the size of a brick, and placed far away in the back of their yard. As the smell of ham flowed nicely through the house, a knock came at the door. Artyom exclaimed. "I hope it's Max! We were going to go to the beach with his parents!" Pistolet and her flowing hair opened the door. A man with a black suit and tie opened the door. "Sorry for bothering you ma'am, I am from the Fen Church. You may know a woman named Hun Liuxing?" Pistolet nodded. The man continued. "She dropped off some of a blood sample of a man named Seal and herself off at the Fen church in two small vials, requesting a child be artificially made, a while back." Pistolet gasped. Seal from the other room shouted. "Pistolet, what's going on?" The man stepped to the side to reveal a young girl, who looked nearly identical to Hun in every way. The deep green eyes, tanned skin and all. Pistolet got on her knees and cried softly. The man spoke again with no change in tone. "We were told to deliver the child to you anytime this year, as you would both be 29, along with a message. 'I know I am sleeping, but try to give Little Miss Hun a good childhood. Please forgive me for forcing this on you, but I wish a happy life for this child, to raise her wonderfully. I want her to live this childhood in stead of me, so at least I know that I at least gave one good gift to the world.'" Seal and Artyom came and peeked past Pistolet crying and onto Little Hun. Artyom and her appeared the same age, and looked at each other. Seal just looked sad. "Dad, who is that?" Seal looked down at his son. "That is your new sister, Artyom." Artyom looked back to little Hun. "Cool! I always wanted a sibling!" Little Hun giggled and walked into the house, past the Fen Church representative. He smiled at her and turned back to his black car, then drove away. Seal was irritated "They didn't even bring any clothes or her name with her. She probably spent the first six years of her life at a garbage Fen orphanage, wearing crappy jumpsuits and eating mush." His face softened a bit. "But at least she's here now." Pistolet nearly whispered "one more mouth to feed!" Seal laughed, and they closed the door behind them, Artyom and Hun playing happily around the spacious house. Hun once was running past Seal Man, who had given his sandwich to her. She stopped in her tracks to look at Seal. "Why does the rock have the same name I do?" Seal smiled at her to prevent himself from crying. "Oh, that rock is for your Aunt, who is away right now. She has the same name as you! Isn't that crazy?" Hun smiled. "Woah, I didn't know there were other people with the same name as me!" Then she sped off to catch Artyom again in a perpetual game of tag. They would get tired eventually. Until then, we need to set up a room for Hun. She was Hun Mamasha now, a part of the family. Everything was so wonderful and perfect.

Feel feel I want to feel I need to feel I want to be sad I want to be happy I want to be mad I want to be in pain I want to feel pleasure I want to feel I need to feel. Was the only thing that Deus Nix could think. She had been in pitch blackness for the past 8 months, when she was created. One big run on sentence that looped and repeated and never stopped filling Nix's head. She couldn't feel, sense, or do anything. All she knew is that she was a she and that she was alive. What was a she? How did I learn that? Then a mighty sensation filled her. What? What is this? I can… Feel? Through my outer layer? Then, she could "move". what? There is big cold circles around all of her. She tried to move away from the cold things but failed. I can't do anything. Then something pierced the sides of her head. Ow! She could sense those piercings as things moving, like she could.. what's the word… hear. Then a sound came from her lower head. What? It sounded like I made that noise! She pushed muscles in her throat again. The noise came again. What is that called… Aha! Talking! Then, the black in front of her came up like a curtain, revealing everything around her. The metal rings she couldn't go away from, the shiny things moving around her body and poking her, things on two stick things that moved them around. She felt the cold rings go away. Huh? How did they go away like that? She tried "Moving" again and there were no rings in the way! One of the things with two legs made a throat sound at her. "Is your language processor working? Close your eyes if you understand." Eyes? Oh yeah, the things that were on her seeing. She closed them. She whipped them back open. She was never going to do that again, never see the blackness again. The thing on two transportation sticks, wait, legs, was that it? Spoke, to me. I think this was called a person, or a human. It said: "You are the first sentient machine. Welcome to our reality!" What was sentient again? She couldn't comprehend the word quite yet. "Try to greet me. Push on Your throat only slightly." What was a greeting? A hello? Maybe. I should try it. "He l ow." the human male clapped. "Good job, I am very proud of you. Now, can you flex your arms for me?" I raise my arm? And pull to make my arm look bigger? "Good. Now, do you know your name? Just speak, your name will automatically come from your memory storage and go right through your Language Processor." She tried. "Deus… Nix?" He applauded again. Nix was beginning to like that sound. She felt like she was understanding more and more of the language every second. According to new vocabulary, she was probably downloading it. The man as his gender was called, spoke to her again. "All of your skin is made of nearly microscopically wide synthetic metal triangles connected by new QQ joints. It isn't 100% as stretchable or flexible as human skin because it won't rip, but it is much more tough, soft, and easier to to maintain. It is also slightly thinner than human skin." She looked down. The man was right. Her skin was the same color but slightly darker than the surgery robots next to her and looked nothing like the man's peach colored hairy arms. He looked worried. "Don't worry. You are more beautiful than a human woman could be. You will live forever and not only that, but everything about you is perfect. You have the same parts as a human woman, but they act differently. Your eyes are different colors because of their different functions. One looks for the light we can see, and the other can switch to any other form of light you need to see." She looked at the reflective glass next to her. Her skin was absurdly smooth and soft considering it was metal, and it transitioned smoothly across her knuckles as she closed and opened her hands. Her right eye, for seeing human light only, was just a seemingly normal looking eye except for its color. It was yellow, an eye color that wasn't naturally possible for humans to have. Normally, they have brown blue or other naturally occuring colors. The other, for other types of light, was very peculiar. It's eye color was a neon teal, and the pupil was completely white. The rest of that eyeball was pitch black. "Your breasts…" he coughed. "Function as storage for leftover quote on quote: 'nutrients' when not having a child, and when you have a child, they will be used to feed your child with those leftover 'nutrients.' She held them in her hands, they were even softer than the rest of her body. Woah. Then her memory banks told her that it was impolite to be nude in front of other people. "Can I have some underwear, a shirt, and some pants?" He laughed. "Good. Your Memory has told you about public norms. He handed her a bra, a pair of underwear, a plain white T Shirt and a pair of black sweatpants all folded neatly and stacked from biggest to smallest. She took the socks of his desk. "Oh, sorry, I forgot about those." She put them all on, and they were quite warm and soft. Nix spoke what had been on her mind for the past couple of minutes. "How am I supposed to have children if I am a machine?" The man looked as if he felt uncomfortable explaining it to her. "Your reproductive system is identical to a Humans, but the only difference is that when your egg accepts a sperm cell, it will be the best one that was offered, creating the best baby from the batch. It will request human food and nutrients, such as meat, and you will grow it inside of you until it is ready for birth. Nix was still confused. "How am I supposed to eat human food?" He responded immediately. "Since you are nearly identical to a human woman, you are capable of performing the same actions, though you don't need human food to survive, only a special fuel we have designed for you. Your womb is capable of performing the same nutrient transfer as a human woman's, and your egg has a hundred percent chance of pregnancy, and a zero percent chance of malfunction." Oh. Okay. I don't know if I will ever need that. The man trudged on through his lecture. For you to properly install memories, you will need to perform an action known as sleeping. This can take up to nine hours, but is not necessary for your survival. Unlike a human, you can see the exact 3d space and every detail in a memory. Even small text and things you did not notice beforehand. This is normally done during the night, but can be done to pass time or relax. Unlike humans, you can do it on command. Of you run low on fuel, a deep pain will come from your belly. That is your body's command for you to consume more fuel." Her stomach did have a slight pain. "I may feel hungry, can I have some fuel?" He nodded, opened a box on his desk, and handed her a bottle full of pitch black liquid. "It can come in any shape or flavor, liquid or solid, just ask and you will receive. This one is just a glass of water, which most humans would consider tasteless. It is your first serving of fuel, so we stuck with the most mild flavor we could think of." It tasted great. If humans thought this was tasteless, what would actually good fuel taste like? She just noticed the hair on her head, which was purely white, an inhuman color. It wasn't bleached white, too much sun white, or aged white, it was the color of snow, thick and fuller than any type of naturally occurring white. She twirled the soft shiny strings around her fingers, entertained by the wavy substance. It was extremely messy, what people would call bedhead, and she loved it. She was always going to keep her hair this way. She noticed the her long, white fingernails. The man explained. "Ingredients for growing your hair and nails can be inserted into your fuel for desired length or thickness." Well that was good to know. "You are designed to look 21 years old, but you can also ask to change to your desired age. You cannot however change the way you look physically. " Why would I ever want to look different or be another age? How does his sentance even make sense? I am the perfect female, not one can compare to my smooth and wonderfully shaped face and body. She lifted the back of her shirt. What does my back look like? Her back was perfect in every way. It curved perfectly up to her shoulderblades and down to her hips, her "spine" adding the perfect accent in the middle. It was so perfect. I really do love being alive.

Everyone knows how the general story is supposed to go. A man, unwittingly going about his normal and ordinary life, is suddenly whisked off to a game style fantasy world where he is expected to become the unwavering hero of the realm. That is until the summoned hero throws a Hail Mary and gets himself transported to a tutorial world before the summoning can be completed. Add in a clumsy goddess and a broken planet and that is just where our story begins... Greetings all, thanks for taking the time to read this. This is my first story here on RRL and it's becomming one of the things I look forward to working on each day. As of June 2020, the story description has been updated (now that the characters have told me what was actually going on this author thought it prudent to update this) . Updates will be sporatic as i have time to juggle real life with writing. You the readers have become an integral part of the story helping to decide how things will progress, so enjoy the story and please leave a review or rating so this author can continue to improve the story. New chapters coming soon with edits to existing ones in process As a side note, I wish I could add a science tag to this. While this is still fiction, I have been incorporating real life scientific theories and explanations for how things could be *plausibly* explained. (No, I will not lecture on these points, but they are added to author notes) ~badw0lf
8 133The tribal queen and the Medic
The duty of a medic is to help those in need, no matter who they are. So after a bloody battle between imperial forces and Native Amazonians, Jaison went back to the battlefield to search for survivors. It starts to rain and the exhausted young man takes shelter upon a hill and under a tree, that is when he meets a beautiful Amazonian whose warriors need help. Being a medic he decides to help, what could possibly go wrong. Bit slow on updating at the moment since I am rewriting some parts and making some new parts for the story. I am also now making a story called Amazonian and her captive which I want to be somewhat like this story, just high quality and with a better story. Coming soon: Updating and adding new chapters. I also have a blog spot where I only upload images based of the stories I write.

8 86Sanguine
The Coles are probably the definition of a small dysfunctional family, even if they weren’t the worst in existence; they would probably be lauded as an example of the term. The Coles were a small family though. The father, Oliver Cole, was an asshole ex-football jock who bounced around in small paying jobs after wasting most of his life drinking, drugging and whoring. The daughter, Stacy Cole, was smart, but had many issues including anger, trouble with authority, and occasional suicidal thoughts, and was kicked out of many a school for disruptive behaviour. The son, Mike Cole, was innocent, and tried his best to be kind to anyone and everyone, however his own speech impediment, and slow nature only aided people to bully and belittle him, including his own father. The Coles were indeed a dysfunctional family. At least they were, until they got to the small town near the border between the United States and Canada, Sanguine. Welcome to Sanguine. You will stay. With the exception of the first chapter, each chapter only follows one character. The first chapter is the only chapter in which I will include 'Sides' where it follows a different character. This is a short Lovecraftian story, it won't go above seventeen chapters. Note: the book cover is my first attempt, it might not even remain like it is, I was just tired of seeing the standard 'no cover' thing on it.
8 160Humans Must Adapt!
Humans Must Adapt is a First Person point of view from the eyes of slightly crazy and totally not a masochist MC. The setting takes place on a copy of earth with a different name. A cataclysmic event causes the native humans to be usurped from their natural place at the top of the food chain. Time has now passed, and the Humans have managed to settle themselves into mediocrity. But this is not enough.Note: I don't plan on including sexual content. The MC won't have an end game goal right from the start. Feedback is welcomed. The MC is a Tamer.
