Chapter 2- The Adventurer's Guild

I woke up...But seriously why do i have so many ''i woke up'' moments so much these days? Oh well i need to get up and get a look at this city. After all this city is gonna be the mark of my beginnings.

''Time to go now'' as i slowly stand and walk into the door. Today i should find that place and make a report.

I open the door and walk the corridors of the rosebear inn till i reach the receptionist. Firstly i question if the key can be taken with me and the receptionist informed me that i can. And seeing that i seem to be new to the city. The receptionist have recommended me the map and notes for the castle town of willow. Thought it cost 2 coppers i felt that having such item would be beneficial. The map was mostly about shops and landmarks and the notes were mostly about the surrounding areas.

Taking my leave, i said farewell to the receptionist and head out towards the door. Stepping outside i stride my way into the district where the shops were mostly located. Arriving there i notice the displays of armors,weapons and a bunch of miscellaneous things. There were also vendors for monsters parts, which are used for either crafting or alchemy.

Walking at the end of the district i look back and decided to stop and go towards my main objective for this day.

The Adventurers guild: The Guild for warriors,wanderers and Jacks of all trades. It is a well known organization that has existed since the time of the Overlord. The time where help and jobs is desperately needed. Frankly speaking , the adventurer's guild is a workplace for odd jobs and monster extermination.

It was founded by one the vanguards for the Hero's Party. The Viking of the Ice Sea; Gisadmir the Unending. He was the right hand of the hero named Goldall Farseer. Before the battle of the Overlord, Gisadmir have talked about the possibility of change that will happen if they defeat the overlord. With no threat the Mundane and the high races would have no single enemy to point their blades at and might fight against each other.

So Gisadmir proposed to Goldall that if they defeat the Overlord. They will establish an organization that will be doing odd jobs and monster exterminations to help the people, though a coin would be needed for services, but it is necessary so the organization would have funding and the roots to expand. And also those who wander and have no specific occupation or specialization would find place in the guild.

And after the defeat of the Overlord, Gisadmir founded the Guild and lead it for years until his death. The Hero Goldall supported Gisadmir with his influence and because of that the Guild lasted for decades. Their other companions also founded organizations and place of learning's. Except the Hero Goldall after the succesful founding of the Guild and having it 's name well known, left and wandered through many continents and was never seen again. None knows the fate of the Hero but nonetheless the Hero was honored for his services and is considered the honorary founder of the Adventurer's Guild. Though there were many questions and rumors such as Goldall seeking the relief of the sea and have return as a voyager unable to contain his wanderlust and traveled miles.

Stopping my train of thoughts that came from myself...or Noah's, i stood still and accepted it that these information is now mine and that this body is now mine...Therefore i shall become Noah and accept that i am him now and we have fused and became one. I don't want to question my existence now that i have been given the chance to live his life.

"'It seems im here huh.'' i muttered as i started at the building in front of me; the guild house of the Adventurers Guild.

Entering , i saw the amounts of adventurers carrying their weapons and having discussion in the lounge area. Though it's not surprising that a large guild located the crossroad of the trading routes would have such big crowd. It was kinda shocking in a way.

Minding my own business, i decided to go the guild's request boards and look for any jobs. Firstly the ranking for the guild members according to my Noah's memory are;

Rank E: Mostly the Ranking of the common folks or teens that wants to work for the guild. They usually handle the meager task's like cleaning, delivering and sometimes carpentry and repair works.

Rank D:The jobs left to some folks who can do hunting for animal meat and herb and ingredients collection for butchers and alchemist.

Rank C: The common ranking for adventurers that engages in the monster hunting. They are considered the beginners and mostly handle the small time monster exterminations.

Rank B: The rank for adventures who have done their dues and fair share of exterminations. They usually a lot of them and formed their own parties to hand area exterminations and such.

Rank A: The Rank that the experience and strong Veteran Adventures can get. They usually handle big time exterminations and handles hordes of monsters and usually sortied out when monsters hordes are threatening to run over villages and cities.

Rank S: The Rank that only a few can get, a rank that is equivalent to a noble in stature. Adventurers that have this rank are only called when the situation is Fubar and usually have the power to deal with creatures like dragons and such.

Rank SS: The Legendary Rank, the rank that the founder of the guild and the hero's party have taken hold. Though some of the ones who have gain this title are usually secluded. They are beings who can topple armies and defeat mythical creatures that even a party of S Rank's can't defeat.

By the way according to my Noah's memory, i am considered Rank A, due to my stature of being a wanderer, combat experiences and importantly because of ability to use alchemy. And despite being young i gain such rank due to combinations of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and somehow getting away alive have made my rise to rank to A.

And because of being a lone wanderer and Rank A. I was never sortied out into defense and can freely move on my own without demands from the guild. Therefore i am extremely grateful for having such convenient rank. Looking at the request board i glance at the request's and saw a request for a Group of Gnoll extermination. I took the request and walk to the receptionist and handed her the request paper.

Taking my card, the receptionist look at the symbol and emblem then chanted a spell which is called Identify and then after confirming that i was rank A the receptionist quickly took action and wasted no time on processing it.

''The Process has been done, please exterminate the gnolls that have been camping on willow forest's waterfalls and bring their ears to me and receive your compensation.'' the receptionist said as she handed the details and a map for the request.

''Of course, then i shall take my leave'' as i turn my back and sat on a nearby chair in the lounge and look at the details.

All of the observers and especially that scribe of anansi might be wandering why even though i just recently arrive in this world i would take such dangerous request. It's pretty simple, i wanna test my and Noah's strength and before you ask why am i doing it with the gnoll's and not the goblins is because i wanna know what [Paulum] can do. The power to pause time and save and load towards a certain time is honestly overpowered to me. Therefore i need to test it on stronger enemies. Though you may ask again, why im not taking the safe route of hunting goblins....let me say this. I have to ...no the pride of the Noah who bathe in stronger monster blood is refusing to take on such low level request. Since i am new to this body, obviously i would go for the goblins. But my Noah's pride is restraining me from doing such thing.

And because i respect the pride of Noah in me. I shall adhere his pride and take it for myself.Well honesty though... who in the heavens would take on goblins as their enemies? Though i would probably go with goblins i haven't got the combat experiences of Noah. But come on fighting goblins is so overused and kinda a pleb thing to do! oh well.... what the hell am i even arguing and making excuses to myself? Only if that scribe and his fellow observers aren't watching........sigh.

But, seriously though, just last day, i was on a dim rooftop and now im sitting on a establishment for adventurers... Fate sure is a tricky maiden. You will never the answer or the reasons why.

''I better plan my actions for now'' as i decided to focus on my quest for the day.

I need to be ready and not be too hasty in this first fight as Noah....
