《The Assassin Chronicles: Part I》Enyo

Enyo stretched the girl’s arms. It had been a while since she’d been free. The last time had been around 7 years ago. That experience hadn’t been fun for Enyo or the girl. True, she’d enjoyed the pain she inflicted but she hated experiencing pain however brief. She was jarred from her thoughts by someone yelling over the phone. Mac! What the hell is happening? The voice shouted. My dear I think you’d better answer him before he has a coronary, she told the girl. The girl raised an eyebrow at her. Enyo gestured to the phone in her hand. Niall, she said. We’ve got a situation here that I need to deal with right now. But Mac, you can’t hold the ghoul forever. The voice said. Niall, I know what I can and cannot handle and right now I cannot worrry about some damn ghoul! She shouted. Enyo plucked the phone from her hand and put it to her ear. I wouldn’t worry your pretty little head about the length of time your girl can hold the ghoul, she schmoozed. I’ll have your information and her head before the sun rises so you’d best let me get to work. She let her voice drop lower than normal and without really meaning to her voice became very seductive. S-she’s not...s-she’s my s-sister! But Enyo didn’t hear him. She’d tossed the phone back to the girl’s sister and was making her way to the trunk of the car Mac had arrived in. She pulled the trunk open and glared gleefully at the ghoul. Hello, love she said adopting an English accent. You and I are about to have some fun. She opened the cage and pulled the woman roughly to her. Enyo tossed her over her shoulder and whistled to the group across the garage. Hey Sasquatch! She called to the taller of the two men. Got anywhere to question this one? She gave the ghoul over her shoulder a pat. The man sighed deeply enough that Enyo could hear it from across the garage, probably was the echo anyway. This way, he called to her. Enyo followed him with a sadistic smirk. She couldn’t wait to get set up. Please tell me you have a good set of knives I can commandeer while I’m here, she said to the man in front of her. The man looked over his shoulder disdainfully. We don’t deal in torture despite our job description, he snapped. I’m sure the girl brought one, she mused unconcerned. Mac bring my bag when you come! Mac raised her hand to show she’d heard. Enyo turned back to the man in front of her. He was staring at her with a mix of hatred and horror. Don’t look at me like that, she snapped. You’re a hunter. Things like this aren’t in your job description. The girl and I, well, we’re a bit different. We’re assassins. We do worse than this to people or we have in the past. Why do you think she has me? The man stared at her in surprise and confusion. Yeah, I know I’m not truly real. I’m just a part of her fractured mind looking to give her peace. And let me tell you, I’m not the only one there is.
