《Sandbox of Interest》Chapter 7

In an endless void of rainbow colors that strobe constantly throughout the area four people can be seen.
"The despositions of these auras are no good." A woman who looks like eighteen says. She also possesses horns on the sides of her face.
"Indeed, The Progenitor said that he would be here but where is he?" A man with ears that point up says.
"Forget about him, the four of us is plenty." A child who also looks eighteen says. She also has colorful hair that starts as a purple color at the base of her hair and becomes rose at the ends.
"Shall we start, Callaly?" A mature woman in her twenties says.
"Ready when you are Virtuacra and Phyriam."
"The decontamination of this will be serious. Don't let your guard down, young one." Phyriam said.
"You are younger than me though..." Chris said. "As the God of Justice, I will ignore this however."
"Now now, Hadrica House Head, don't let this get to your head." Virtuacra said.
"Wh-... Whatever..." Chris sighs.
The shared feature of Callaly, Phyriam, and Virtuacra... Is their hair... At the very least it reaches down to a little below their waist and at most to their knees.
Countless bends in space are made as the spatial current becomes turbulent. The strobing in the area becomes distorted as the four look at one way.
"So, what about the savior of this universal era?" Callaly asked.
"The savior this time around seems rather terrible. She won't do well with us." Virtuacra said.
"That's unfortunate, I was hoping I could rough a savior into shape." Phyriam said.
"By terrible, I mean her days are numbered." Virtuacra continued.
"A limited savior again? What is it this time Phyriam?" A dark glint appears in the three's eyes as Callaly asks. Chris notices and is a bit startled but, does not dare to say anything.
"The 11th time ever since I've started counting." Callaly's horns turn purple.
"What have you read Callaly?" Virtuacra asked.
"This time isn't as complex as the both of you thought. Callaly has mended all the tears in space. Only one sustainor has gotten to Isia however."
"That's his problem then." Phyriam said.
"Oh? I never knew you were so cruel to your child's chosen." Callaly said with a fake expression of surprise.
"You know me Callaly, I don't go easy on my child. Unlike the two of you. The bare minimum I have done is that I just sent a message to my child to warn her about it. Any second now, he will receive the quest update."
"You just have no experience of being a mother. You will learn soon." Callaly says with a smug face, the purple color fades from her horns.
"There's no need to learn because of that." Phyriam fired back without any change in her tone.
"*Sigh* right, cause of that." Callaly's smug changes back into her usual unchanging cold one.
"Do you wish to say your favorite words, Callaly?" Virtuacra said.

"I believe it is too early for that. We're at the very cusp of it right now."
Lushi Republic Capital, Koru.
"Report on the recent case of missing persons?"
"Not sure if we should call this a 'case' but one person has recklessly decided to travel into the rift as reported by witnesses."
"Who is this person?"
"He's a powerhouse getting closer to the Calling; he is Gilded rank. His name is Esteban Rivero."
"That guy? The Head Sorcerer of that guild?"
"Indeed. It would be unfortunate to lose someone like him. But the gods will likely kill him off."
"Hopefully the gods will spare him instead."
"Sir, a report just came in, the rifts have disappeared, no one can travel through the rifts now."
"*Sigh*, that means he's stuck there now and can only escape if the gods allow him to."
Somewhere in Heliang Dynasty.
"The dynasty has restricted travel into the spatial rifts and declared anyone who dared to travel through them a dead man."
"What about the Sustainors over there?"
"It appears that they aren't so strict with their people, so one of them ended up traveling through the rift."
"That's fortunate. Less Sustainors to deal with."
"Get this, the Sustainor who did it was one of the Gilded rank."
"Hmm? It sounds like we may be able to engage in battle at the high realms then."
A pause was then made by one of the people engaged in the discussion, the other one noticed.
"What is it?"
"The rifts are all gone. They've all disappeared at once."
"The gods... We will soon understand them, and it is our path to reach them."
"Yes, CEO of Miracle Grand. It was a pleasure to meet you but I have other business to attend to."
"Of course, Cult Leader of God's Gift. We may be enemies but it doesn't mean we can't exchange information."
The two cupped fists to each other and split. One of them leaves the room.
"If only you knew I was affiliated with the gods, Xi Chen. And soon they might assign me to a Quest that requires me to kill you." Two rows of white teeth shows on the remaining person who then disappears as he leaves his words.
In a room of what the walls seem to depict the sky in a world, floor is completely red and the bottom of the walls is also completely red, but then as you go up the walls, the red starts to become purple. At the middle of the wall, there are clouds on it.
As you continue going up, the walls become completely purple and start to have stars depicted on them. At the ceiling, there is a huge spiral of stars that emit light.
Alone in the room, is someone that looks younger than Phyriam. Her hair only reaches her shoulders and is curled into what appears to be spiral galaxies at the ends.
Like Phyriam, her hair alternates from purple at the base of her hair, to rose. She is currently looking at a screen, depicting four different people on top of a building, one lazing around, and the other three looking down at the streets.

"Snake Dreadnaught, huh." A soft voice comes out.
On a snow mountain, on some world.
"Oh great High Entity! Please spare this lowly one!" A squeaky plea came from a small fluffy animal.
Infront of that fluffy animal, was a extremely sinister figure with a purple viscous fluid that streams down from the top of the figure to the bottom. However, that fluid doesn't flow and drop onto the ground and instead disappears at the bottom of the figure's feet.
The figure is a humanoid with two glaring red eyes that are stuck onto the small animal infront of it. It appears to be wearing armor, and it also wields a scythe that has the same purple viscous fluid flowing down on it, one could also see a black gem on the part that binds the handle of the scythe with the blade.
The sinister figure begins to walk towards the small animal, walking on the snow, but it doesn't leave any tracks, nor does it make a noise as it moves.
"No! Stay away from me!" The small animal panicked at the figure's movements and began to run away. It darted through a small hole in a wall that was behind it, but even though it made it to the other side inside the building that it entered, it did not stop panicking.
Only the cold breezy wind of the weather could be heard, but that only made it more terrifying for the small animal. The small animal stands in the middle of the room, looking at the small hole it came in through, turning it's sight at the sole window, then peeking at the door.
Nothing was there. But the small animal just couldn't relax.
Suddenly, the small animal feels something touching it's feet. It looks down, and sees one hand with purple viscous fluid on it, grabbing the small animal's two legs.
The birds flew as screams echoed throughout the mountain. White specks fell from the sky.
But if one was to look closely, those specks were not snow. The white specks do not make the snow any deeper when they land on the ground. The snow remains at the same level.
More and varied screams echoed throughout the mountain. Cries of terror would spook the birds until there were none left.
Then the screams ceased. At a mound of animal bones, next to it is the sinister figure.
The sinister figure kneels and brushes a skull that was a distance away from the mound of bones. Close to the skull is a pile of neatly stacked bones.
But if one was to look closely, the bones that the sinister figure was touching was the most humanoid out of all the bones that could be seen in the area. The sinister figure got up and looked up at the sky.
One would notice the sinister figure has a forlorn look. High entities are entities that should never be defied.
"Report!"
"Sir, we still haven't found him."
"It's only been a day! Use all means to find him and his group!"
"But sir, we haven't found any traces of either his mana signature or anyone else that is with him!"
"Then keep searching! He should not have gotten far from here! We're burning sunshine men!"
"But sir, it's only been dusk for a few minutes!"
"Don't give me that shit you smartass! The client will chew me out if we don't find him! And so it's either his head or your fucking head! Do you understand me?"
"Yes sir!"
"Now then, find that damned Snake Dreadnaught! We have all this manpower, yet we have turned up no fucking results whatsoever so far!"
"So you haven't found him yet, huh?"
"W- Sir! I'm afraid we haven't yet even though we even deployed our prized search drone, we still haven't found him!"
"Are you sure you're "prized" search drone isn't malfunctioning?"
"No sir. We always run maintenance checks before we deploy it."
"Is it not the incompetency of your workers then?"
"No sir! I've personally hired them and would run them through checks monthly!"
"Then what are you suggesting?"
"I'm not sugges- ...This lowly one isn't sure of what may have happened to the Snake Dreadnaught..."
"Oh? It seems like you are implying that the Snake Dreadnaught is no longer here. Are you sure you all are not hiding him yourselves?"
"No... Sir! We wouldn't do that to our important employer!"
"Do what?"
"We wouldn't betray you! Our company is based on trust between the customer and service providers!"
"So then what are the results?"
"The results are is that we haven't found a trace that matches neither Snake Dreadnaught's mana signature, nor his team that stays with him!"
"The Snake Dreadnaught I know wouldn't disappear so easily. The only way he could escape is by brute force, despite his snake part, that's only for tricking people, but he will still eventually get caught. You are telling me that the Snake Dreadnaught has gain an ability or found someone with the ability to teleport without leaving a mana signature?"
"It's possible, it is rumored that one of his lackeys have the "Space Devisor" job.
"They would have to be at least the 6th level to be able to mask or hide their mana signatures, and only the Snake Dreadnaught is at Venerable Rank. The rest should be at Sovereign rank."
"Then what do you think, sir?"
"What do I think? Divine intervention. That's the only possibility."
"Hmm, it's true that there are rumors that the Snake Dreadnaught has been blessed by a diety. But why would this activate now out of all times?"
"If it's a protection, then it wouldn't matter since protection influences fate. It wouldn't be weird if he found one of those spatial rifts earlier then. Continue searching, I guess I will have to see if I can find results not in this area."
"Yes sir!"

Kaine sighed as his foe advanced once more, never letting up, barely giving him time to breathe. He pressed forward as well, excited and ready, welcoming the bloodshed that was to come.
