《Heir's Fate》Chapter 1 : Hunting.

How or why the cataclysm happened is still a mystery to humankind. Strange phenomenon that could not be explained by science and logic randomly started happening. The sun which was always present at day had gained a companion, a small white star similar to the sun's size. One would think that Earth would be uninhabitable due to the presence of two suns, but surprisingly It did the opposite.
Creatures that were thought to be extinct started re-emerging, the environment started flourishing. The Earth which was in a state of constant decline where recovery was not possible suddenly recuperated, traces of pollution seemed to have disappeared miraculously.
It was as if Earth entered a new phase. The positive effects that occurred due to the cataclysm also affected humankind. Strange powers awakened in most of humanity, It seemed like it was always present even before the Cataclysm happened. The dormant powers that have awoken caused a stir in society with people taking advantage of their newly gained strength to assert their dominance.
With positive things happening there were also negative phenomenons that occurred. The moon had also gained a companion, much bigger than itself. The second moon was peculiar, craters dotted its surface creating the detailed outlines of an eye looking down on earth.
Unknown species of beasts emerged with their origins untraceable. They seem to be not of earthen origin, they were aggressive only to humanity leaving the wildlife alone. Due to their sudden appearance and hostility to man kind, most of humanity's major cities fell in one night with casualties counting in the billions.

Creaaakk..
"Do you want to go hunting today?"
Rey who opened the door without knocking asked Maki who was busy playing a game on his phone while lying down. Maki looked at him with an annoyed expression and spoke.
"I'm laaaazzzyyy, just leave me alone."
"Suit yourself. Zen and Than are joining me."

"Wait, they are?"
"Yeah, do you want to join now?"
Maki ponders for a moment looking at his phone then looking at Rey seemingly having a hard time deciding. He lets out a sigh and placed his phone inside his pocket.
"What are we hunting?"
"I'll tell you when we meet up with them."
Rey gestured him to stand up and get ready. Maki put on three different colored bracelets, two on his right arm and one to his left. They then began to exit his room and made their way to the meeting place where Rey was leading him.
"Why did you want to hunt all of a sudden?"
Maki asked Rey as they were heading towards their destination. Rey then tapped the translucent looking bracelet present on his right arm and a floating screen appeared. The screen was showing a picture of a woman in skimpy clothing wearing a lewd expression.
"This is the reason."
Rey said confidently. Maki looked at him with a confused expression and asked another question.
"Because you are horny?"
Rey was confused by his question and soon realized what his screen was showing, he quickly swiped to another tab showing the amount of credits he had left in his bank account.
"Ehem, That is the reason."
Rey says with an embarrassed tone, the confidence he showed a while ago nowhere in sight. The screen was showing the nonexistent credits he had left. Maki also opened his screen to check his bank account and noticed that he was also running low on credits.
"Looks like I'm also in need of money."
"Yo, Rey and Maki you guys ready?."
As they approached the meeting place they were greeted by a man wearing glasses. His hair was unkempt it looked like he just woke up awhile ago. He looked quite handsome the messy hair adding a bit of charm to him. He was wearing casual clothes and different colored bracelets could be seen around his arms, three on each arm.

"How's it going Than? you look like you just woke up."
Rey greeted him back and started to ruffle his hair a bit more.
"I do look like it, but its just my hair not cooperating with me today."
"So, where's Zen?"
Maki asked Than who was having his revenge on Rey for messing his hair up which was already messy.
"He said he'll be arriv—uhk?!"
"I'm here. Did you just wake up?"
Before Than could finish his sentence a random person suddenly jumped on his back and started ruffle his hair up just like Rey did. The person looked average compared to Than. He was taller than the three people present, he was 2 heads higher than them. Just like Than and the others he was wearing casual clothing with 2 bracelets present on each arm.
"Get off! Someone as big as you should not jump on my back!"
"But I dont wanna."
Than tried to shake Zen off of his back but he won't let go. Rey also joined in on the fun and jumped on Zen's back instead, due to the unequal distribution of weight Than fell over and three of them landed on the cold floor.
"Ugh!"
a dull sound could be heard and a short scream simultaneously rang out from the three of them. Then, the sounds of them moaning in pain followed. Than was the first one to stand up rubbing his back which was burning due to the impact, Rey and Zen followed suit also rubbing the hurting point of impact.
Maki looked at them embarrassingly as they had made a commotion in the place they were in. The three who fell over, looked at each other and started laughing while verbally abusing each other. The scene emanated a friendly atmosphere.
"What are we hunting?"
"An acid hound."
Maki blinked at Rey's answer. He was questioning if he misheard him or its one of his jokes again.
"Isn't that too strong for beginners like us?"
"Yeah, that's why I gathered four of us to hunt one down."
Rey confidently answered him. There was still doubt in Maki's mind due to the acid hound being an infamous beast dangerous for beginners to deal with, but with four of them he felt assured they could take one down.
"Let's start then."
The group headed out of the building they were in and headed towards the Beginner's hunting ground. Before they could enter the hunting ground they needed to check in with the gate guard. The guard kept tabs on who entered and who left the hunting ground just in case a hunter went missing inside the field.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
The guard scanned each of their translucent bracelets and logged their profiles. These bracelets, compared to the colored ones, look like they've been artificially made for the purpose of many things.
The guard let them pass and they entered the gate. After entering the gate the group could see a massive mountain, its peak nowhere to be seen as it towered above the clouds. There was a massive hole found at the foot of the mountain. It looked like the maw of an ancient beast devouring who ever enters it.
"Brrr. This sight never fails to give me chills."
Than said as his body trembled, a hint of nervousness present in his tone. The other three nodded in agreement, the scene in front of them made them tense even though they've gone here multiple times.
"Phewwww...Lets enter."
Rey let out a deep breath to calm himself. The group slowly entered the cave with Rey leading them.

Meek
After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
