《Demon Contractor Unknowingly Becomes Less Of A Jerk》Chapter 7:Little Girls Dreamland(1)

I open my eyes and see the branches that make up the floor of the little hut I made, finding myself face first with my bum in the air. I ignore the slight pain and warm blood I feel on my forehead and move to the child so that I can check if she needs to be wiped down once again, after tossing a handful of Canenane fat into the weakened fire in the center of the hut of course. "She should be fine...I should probably remove the canenane skin for now." I may have accidentally left her wrapped up too long, causing her body to overheat, so in order to help her out a bit more I step outside, finding that it stopped snowing while I was unconscious. So I begin, first I start to remove the snow that built up on the cloth roof, scooping up a few hand fulls, melting and freezing them, making a few semi-spherical pieces of ice. I place them on the edge of the roof and begin pushing all the snow off, warming the slightly wet coats that protect us from the cold winds as soon as I finished. "For now I should use some of Draumr's mana to convince the brat to obey me."
As soon as I finish cleaning the roof I grab some ice and move to the hut, placing some on the brats chest, head, and armpits, moving the skin cover to cover her lower body after the ice melts a small bit. "How exactly am I going to go about doing this? I start to think about how best to heal the child, deciding in the end to just help her body instead of forcibly rushing her recovery with healing magic. Demons can use magic without swearing fealty to any god and while we may use the same level of magic as any priest there are some differences. The biggest being variety, because demons can use spells commonly associated with any god as well as several unique to our species we are rejected by the four gods and their followers, with several of the other sixteen ancients despising us for this. "That reminds me, I should probably visit those golem siblings and thank them. If I remember right their favorite material is the artificial souls created by those Elder Pires."
As one of the few survivors of the marionette kingdom, they possess a wealth of knowledge from the time of gods, possessing a pure understanding of the soul and magic they are the oldest of the ancients, as well as one the most feared. When they were born they looked to mimic their father, attempting to find their humanity, and when they found creatures other than humans possessing humanity, they began to experiment, finding the different ways separate species show their humanity by manipulating their nature to show their purest sorrow and joy, and when the dragons attempted to enslave the world, successfully weakening three of the four gods, they killed them leaving only their children, the dragon newts simply because they inconvenienced them in their research between the link of the soul and the heart, which of course taught all of the world that you must stay the hell away from them as much as possible.

"Maybe those siblings know what exactly what the hell scared Draumr so much? First I should deal with the kid, then I can offer some of the people I brainwash as research materials. I move to the little girl and manipulate Draumrs mana the same way I would Sylvia's, making it flow into my legs and stepping on my target, the kids face. "You will obey the demon you first see, you will obey the demon you first see, you will obey the demon you first see, you will obey the demon, the demon you first see when waking is your reason for living, you would die for this demon." Suddenly, as Draumr's mana flows into the child, something in her body begins to absorb it, invading my body and swallowing the mana flowing from my heart into my legs. As the unknown force invades my body I fall unconscious.
-Dream Land-
"Daddy Daddy look the flower grew really big!"
Enduring the headache caused by the sudden change of scenery I open my eyes to find that In front of me is a little pale skinned girl wearing a fluffy white dress with a matching pair of gloves and boots holding a small flower pot with an abnormally large pink flower, pushing it against what appears to be her father, as he prepares what looks like soup. He isn't wearing a shirt fully displaying the thick muscles that cover his upper body, and a pair of thick brown leather pants so chances are this guy has never cooked before.
[Where am I and what happened...and why the hell am I stuck with this stupid mind magic?] We are in the kitchen of a large house on the second floor, at least according to the far stone pavement I see through the wood-framed glass window. The man looks at the child initially wearing a light smile, switching to an expression of shock the moment he sees her brown hair and eyes. "Amarisa where did you get this flower?"
[The brat dragged me into her dream didn't she?]
The little girl begins to hug the flower pot while doing a small dance, showing the brightest smile possible for her tiny face. "Archbishop Micah took me and a bunch of the other strong students to the outskirts of the goddesses step and allowed us to attempt to purify some of the flowers on the black stone with his help." Still stirring the soup, he breathes a sigh of relief, gently patting the child head as he grabs the flower pot, placing it on the vegetable-filled wood counter. "How much did Micah help you my little dryad?"
"He told me to say a bunch of really hard words to a flower he picked, then I tried a bunch of times and messed up, ah but daddy I didn't fail only I said the words right then the stone turned grey and all the flowers became trees."

A chill spreads throughout me as a priest walks through my body. Seeing the priest the brats dad gets on his knees forgetting he's holding a ladle in a pot of hot broth, spilling it on his head and back the moment he gets on his knees. Ignoring the twitching father I step in front of the priest, walking through him and begin to examine him. He's wearing a loose brown robe covered in yellow flower markings and what appears to be soft tree bark wrapping around his wrist and waist, a crown made of small mana crystals carved to look like a woman's head, each one connected, held together by a flower-filled vine. He has long brown hair and deep blue eyes "Sir we believe your daughter has been chosen as a candidate for the goddesses incarnation's reincarnation." Hearing the priest words the girl slightly tilts her head, scratching it, ruffling her well-combed brown hair "What does that mean?"
The priest walks to the brat, bending forward and combing her hair, making sure to appear as approachable as possible with a slight smile."It means God loves you." The brats jumps up a small bit, her eyes open wide and a brighter smile covering her face. "Really, God loves me?"
"Yes so will you join me in worshipping god as a priest. You'll be a very very special priest that everyone loves as well as the youngest, aren't you happy?" In response, to the priest's words, the girl begins to nod her head so hard it looks like head will fly off. "Good girl, but since your only eight you will have to stay in school a little longer but because you are soo special we will let you go to a really good school for special girls like for two more years instead of ten. Would you like that?"
"Yes!"
Suddenly everything begins to blur and lose color, the scene changes and I find myself in a large room fit for the highest noble. A large bed rest against the wall, directly below a large brown, green, beige, and yellow stained glass, the colors forming a large woman holding a collection of flowers similar to the ones found on the previously seen priest outfit. A dull light peers through the glass, covering a large portion of the room in moonlight, adding the beauty of the white walls and brown and gold tiled floor. As I begin to examine the room I feel familiar mana, suddenly the bed explodes as a large amount of mana expelled from the person resting in it.
The room goes quiet as the small storm being created by two clashing mana fades, suddenly several nuns break into the room, tearing the large door from its hinges. As a loud boom spreads throughout the room the thin yellow sheets hanging on the bed's roof fly as a little panicked girl falls off the mattress. The little girl is the same as the little girl trying to show off her flower whether it be in height or facial appearance with one big difference, her hair. Instead of light brown hair, she has dotted hair made up of the colors black, white, and grey. The nuns stop moving the moment they see her hair, putting on an expression of either absolute terror or extreme rage. Some of the nuns run away and some of the nuns move the little girl and begin kicking her, waking her up. Ignoring her screams of pain they continue to kick her, not stopping even when she begins to twitch.
"Stop!" The girl manages to form a single word, instinctively imbuing it with mana. In response to her single word the nuns stop, still in a kicking posture, they fall not moving even when their back snaps or their head cracks. [This should be the moment Draumr worked his magic so before this she was asleep...What are you planning you bastard?] The brat seeing the nuns response to her words begins to panic, her breaths growing stronger and coming faster as she begs God for forgiveness. As she panics she begins to lose control of her mana, suddenly the priest around her begins to scream and twitch as Draumr's mana leaks from the girl with no direction. As it has no instructions to follow it instead follows its instincts, and begins attacking the minds of the enemy priest. The brat continues to panic as the nuns increasing pain causes their body to react more and more violently. Within minutes several priests appear, each one wearing bronze armor and divine charms.
Once again things begin to blur.

Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

The Order
The Order takes place within the Human-led Empire, within Glory City. In this Empire in which Magic is policed and its use is regulated, Mages are required to have a licence in order to practice Magic. The Magically inclined, Non-Human Races that have lived under Human rule lived a markedly different life to Humans, which had led to a somewhat contentious relationship. A law enforcement agency known as The Order is responsible for maintaining Magical order, and is also responsible for doling out justice to those who break the law. Consisting of the Magic using Mages, and the more technologically inclined Knights, these Agents are regarded as protectors by some, but as oppressors by many. The tale follows the exploits of Izano Zuko, a mysterious man, covered from head to toe in burn scars and wrapped in bandages. He arrives in Glory City with the backing of the City Lord, unknown abilities and secret intentions. Trouble starts up almost as soon as he arrives, and Zuko is thrown into a conflict between the Order and an unknown enemy. This is a complete book, and I plan to upload a chapter every week or so. No cover as yet.
