Ah… that whirling tunnel kidnapped us once again? Now isn’t that irritating? Well not that I can stop it.
Where am I anyway? And… why am I stuck with this guy? Does fate hate me or something of the 12 of us? He choose this guy to be paired up with me? This weak archer?

Just when do they plan to start?! My beloved rin could be in danger! Ah good they started to battle a while ago they were just circling around each other then, Shuuya quickly moved forward to slash the samurai aiming directly at the neck.

Hey, didn’t he have some hesitation on killing the knight?
Of course he didn’t cut his neck the enemy’s a knight! It has an armor and a helmet! In turn the knight gave a defensive style by raising his sword diagonally as he quickly changed his hand movement to clash with Shuuya’s sword that was about to pierce through his chest guard.
Shuuya instantly backed away once he saw the knight about to land a hit on his shoulders. Then Shuuya instantly charged at the knight in high speed. Makes me wonder why isn’t he using any blessings or spells?
As he came closer to the knight he charged with all his energy on his blade, this could probably end the fight all at once ah how boring~
As I guessed the sword pierced through the knight’s armor which shocked the knight then Shuuya sent a quick kick by his knees making the knight dropped to the ground as Shuuya took the knight’s helmet
Shuuya: …
Yuuko: …
Shuuya: W-Who…
Knight: What is the answer you e=wish to know?
Shuuya: A-Akira? Is that you? Is that really you?

On the ‘magic ball’ we both saw what has happened… I can feel he sorrow after all…
Usagi: Rin, they are not worthy of your presence. Look! He even prioritized your—
Rin: NOT.ANOTHER.WORD!

That guy! How dare he make Rin cry! He dosen’t deserve Rin nor does he deserve Akira! He’s despicable!
Rin instantly left as I made a door appear leading her to her own private room in ghost space.
So the bastard still can’t let go of the past? How irritating he even made rin cry! Rin shouldn’t cry her face suit a laughing one. A face that would never show any sorrow! I was against letting that puppet go and greet him!

The knight smirked, What in the world!
Knight: Can you kill me?
Yuuko: Are you testing me?
Knight: You can’t kill me not until I change my form but I can’t cause my creator made me this way… Oh and now he wants me to serve you changing my form into your secretary
What? I can’t comprehend what this thing is saying
Knight: By the way, this is a special treat
Huh? The voice suddenly changed it became a bit more… girlish
RIN’S POINT OF VIEW
Calm down it’s not every day you see a dead person right in front if you right? That’s probably the reason right?
Rin: Right! Don’t feel so down! You’re the great goddess Rin! Now to find something interesting maybe I can try summoning that magic ball we use to see Shuuya’s fight! Maybe Ko-kun and Riko-nee’s situation? It should be fun to watch right!
Anyway let’s see concentrate on the image of a ball and
Rin: Yey! I did it! Now I don’t have to relay on that useless henchman of mine

Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.
