27day of Blue sun year 188
the next day Zifarang secretly called the elders outside the village.
(Zifarang)-I called you elders of the tribe to discuss an iminent threat to our tribe
(The elders became uneasy and surprised as they couldn't think of any such grave matter)
(Zifarang)-A war with the Boarmen is at bay
(The elders listened carefully although some took it as little of a threat, well the boarmen were weak and had no reason to do so)
(Zifarang)-I know you think little of them but think of the children and women of our tribe who go hunting around this hour
(Elder Tiu)-What threat could a few stumpy weakling pose
(Elder Max)-Haven't you heard the last news of a young boy killing what, like twenty of them (overexagerated rumors)
(Elder Owang)-My son is right, you old fools, I have heard the boarmen these day are uniting and expanding their hunting grounds, If a war occured now, the young ones won't be at the least prepared for it and the number of elders is only Increasing.
(The elders begun an uproar as to what to do but without an answer until Zifarang's Roar covering any sound they had been making)
(Zifarang)-I have an answer to this problem
(The elders listened carefully and relieved now)
(Owang)-that's my son, come on say what it is
(Zifarang)-We exile the Instigator of it, the young lionman Xeor
(Booing and displeasure was sounded by most of the elders)
(Owang)-Come on son you can do better than that
(Zifarang)-Are you all fools! its for the boy's own good
(The elders were left dumpfounded as they couldn't see any good in being exiled unti one rose with a strange questionable explaination)
(elder Tesuar)-Do you mean to save him if the boarmen ask for his head in exchange for peace
(Zifarang)-Exactly, tomorrow the boarmen might arrive, do you want to fight a war unprepared
(the elders were sceptical about it but decided on something)
(Elder Max)-Listen up Zifi my boy, we thought about it and decided tonight at dusk you will fight with the young boy and beat him up, after that, you will kill or exile him, we leave that at your own discretion
(Zifarang)-I will do as you said
They all left home, leaving Zifarang with a rather bad expression.
That night was dark as Zifarang invited Xeor to the borders of their territory of the forest.
(Zifarang)-Xeor, I know you always wanted to be aknowledged as the strongest but it is imposible now
(Xeor)-What bullshit are you...
(Zifarang)-Listen carefully, the elders told me to kill you in order to avoid a full confrontation with the boarmen, I know that you think they are weak but many of your breathren are not as strong as you
(Xeor)-Why do you say all that if you can, try and kill me
(Zifarang)-You fool!, did you think I want you dead
(Xeor)-What?
(Zifarang)-I have other plans for you
(Xeor)-What plans are you talking about?
(Zifarang)-Somewhere to the north live our cousins catmen, they are not as strong as we but I want you to go and ask for their help, they might even outnumber the boarmen in population.
(Xeor)-I will do as you ask but don't think you got your way out of fighting me
(Zifarang)-Go now! and don't return without reinforcements
(Xeor)-Okay, Okay
Xeor started runing without looking behind at Zifarang who was laughing as he noticed Xeor had went the wrong direction.
He then left and as he was returning found a sleeping Mawufan and strangled it in its sleep, afterwards he scratched it many times and did the same on himself.

28day of Blue sun year 188
It was around dawn when he reached the village and shouted for all to wake up.
They saw him beat up and the dead beast next to him, a beast that normally can kill many of them before dying, but from his sad expression the elders understood everything.
(Xeor was dead)
All the village mourned the loss of such a fine warrior, but the sadness didn't last long as from the woods behind them an army of boarmen emerged like bugs to a flame.
The boarmen leader who could be distinguished by his red mohawk and great tusks, he looked strangely at all the lionmen and asked
(Urkhehe)-Give me the head of the young lionman who killed my brothers and I will leave you in peace
Zifarang was really surprized as his imaginary scenario had become reality but the only answer to the boarman's demand were the weeping sounds of the crying parents and Xeor's friends
(Urkhehe)-Are you all stupid, where is he? do you see him Ukhik?
A boarman came out of the bundle of hundrens. Ukhik was one of the group Xeor had attacked who had managed to run away but he could not find him in the group of weeping lionmen.
(Urkhehe)-Where is he!
Zifarang lifted the huge dead animal and threw it at them knocking at least twenty of them off their feet
(Zifarang)-Look in this guy's stomach
And the boarmen ran away in terror as they Saw what that beast was (Mawufangs like to hunt boarmen the most as they are slow and easy to catch and many of the barmen fall to those beasts' claws).
The beast's corpse was given to Xeor's family and life in the Milewoods went back to normal.
As we know Xeor Instead of north, went west and it truly was in his best interest as to the north lied the territory of the Hawkmen, who are said to be as proud and agressive as the lionmen between their race(birdmen).
Truth be told Xeor had considered going back at the begining but his pride drove him even further away.
Good luck, bad luck and talks of fate may be suitable for this situation but you should agree Zifarang was a pretty damn good actor.
At the dusk of the day Xeor exhausted had finally managed to come out of the western reach of the forest, only to see endless plain grassland to where the eye reaches, thinking at last "did I take the right way?"
but he was too tired to go back to ask ,he laid down looking at the stars. A tear went down his face as he thought all of the people he had left behind and without even noticing it, he fell asleep.
29day of Blue sun year 188
The gentle blue sun woke him up and the cold winds sobbered him fast as next to the forest, it was the farthest he had ever gone. Before he wouldn't have even thought of travelling out of the woods but now he had a mission to accomplish, he went on to the west going up hills and walking in unknown territory, until a strange earthquake shook him, throwing him off his feet.
He had never experienced an eathquake before and this one wasn't the real thing either. It was the Madorths, large bunny-like monsters that hop all the time and a large group of them can create such little tremors through the ground.
Xeor seeing them felt his hunger awakening and a moment later he was lunching on one of these large fluffy ones. Thus his journey continued through the numberous days of walking across the endless grasslands seeing animals he had never seen before and eating them. It happened fast as he was walking and the night's breeze refreshed his thirst as water was a luxury he had not, as the grass under his feet had long begun to scarce and the few trees he met protected him from the rain.

1day of Fertility year 188
Suddenly a scream froze his blood, as he was resting, he saw many big two-leged lizards(grawlers) hunting after a herd of Wufangs (the most vicius predators he knew back home, although there they had no need to make hunting packs).
If they had seen him he knew he would have the same fate as that herd he just saw being killed right before him but how could he run away before even fighting it. Truth be told he had his due share fighting Wufangs but they always ran away when they saw it was too much of a hustle to kill him.
Now he wanted to try it himself, he aproached them while they were eating without being noticed and caught one of them by the neck mounting on it's back and trying to split it's neck with his claws.
In his reckless attempt one of his claws broke by the beast's hard skin throwing him off balance and to the ground. He had now started running with a grawler on his tail. Fortunetely for him the others seemed not to care and went on eating the carcass of their preys.
After a missed bite or two at his feet, he mount it once more with a swift jump and good timing but before he knew it they were before a a huge cliff.
He jumped off the beast's back the last second saving his own skin while condemning the beast to a painful dive into the rocky cliffs.
It was his first time seeing a river that big almost endless and a little Island in the distance. His near death experience was enough to make him laugh for a long time until
he heard the grawler's scream from down the cliff and started running anew.
At least now he knew, if you hear a grawler's scream just run at the oposite direction, claws are no good against their tough scaly hides.
7day of Fertility year 188
now his journey west had led him to a tremendous river that cut his path and to the east a waterfall could be seen flowing down the steep cliffs he has been walking by the side of the cliff for days as the sea breeze gave him one hard time after the other, rains and even small storms.
There was no way to go to the oposite side of that overflowing river and he didn't want to go back emptyhanded, he followed the riverbank to the north and now next to the raging river he felt his own weakess against the powers of nature.
The grassland was mostly washed away close to the river, most animals now stayed far from to the river. He had some fights with beasts but nothing worth mentioning, till he saw it.
A huge tree-made bridge and small wooden huts, with wooden roofs, surrounding it. He spied on this little village for a few days, hiding near to the river and on stormy days he went closer to investigate better.
It's inhabitants(human) wore strange animal skins kept together with small ropes, they looked weaker and shorter than the lionmen and maybe even the boarmen and lacked the mighty claws or tusks of a beastman.
They talked to eachother in an unknown to him language and used strange sticks to fight and hunt animals.
The short sticks which were all different had many uses(clubs, torches, knives) but the long sticks(spears) just one, they were thrown at the beast to prevent it from fleeing and then they finished it off with the short ones(Clubs).
The fiery short sticks(torches) looked quite useful but then again in his forest they would be as useless as it got.
The first two days he really thought nothing of them but how weak they were but the third day made him hide in fear as a small group of them riding on motues (horse-like creatures with six legs) came to the village, they carried strange sticks with them(arrows) and a long stringed stick(bow).
They said something to the people of the village and left as fast as they came, he tried to catch up to them but he couldn't the motues were far faster than he was, well it wasn't the first time he saw one of those beasts on the plains and he always failed to catch them.
8day of Fertility year 188
He was in the middle of nowhere while chasing after the riders but he could faintly see the river and went back to the village to spy some more only to see small wufangs tamed by the villagers, although in reality they were frix a doglike being found only on Anchora's(continent) plains.
They were few but in his eyes now those beings(humans) were too dangerous to be left alone.
Under the cover of the night Xeor tried to get into the village, his plan was to set it on fire and then disappear in the darkness but he was quickly found and barks from an old frix alerted the whole village.
Due to the village being quite small in one moment all the villagers had assembled with weapons at hand and aiming their sticks at him.
He knew something like this could happen but Why hadn't they attacked him yet. He saw them making strange sounds as if communicating among themselves. He couldn't make out what they were talking about but that made him really angry. Truth be told he was the first lionman they had encountered, they knew a bit about beastmen but most beastmen just left them alone as
they tried not to get in their way.
Now they had a scary beastman trying to crawl through their village normaly they would just try to make him leave but in the midst of them one little kid not knowing what fear was threw a stone at Xeor. (stupid kid)
Xeor Roared and slaughtered the whole bunch and the rest of the village that night. He cut their spears with his mighty claws and their wooden clubs were like fists from any lionman, only the ones who jumped into the river survived that horrible massacre.
Afterwards Xeor went through the bridge killing anyone on his path and then slaughtered anyone on the other side of the river, where a similar village stood. After crossing the river Xeor left farther to the west towards the Orklands(another Continent).

I post at least once a week. I cannot promise you a story you enjoy reading, but I can promise you a story I enjoy writing. Thank you. ------------------------------------------ The sword is greater than a simple weapon; an answer to life's questions. An extension of thine master's hand, guided by wrist. Care it not whether guilty or innocent blood shed, for be it a mere edge, a weapon. For blade that forgets or refuses to cut be shameful, meaningless, disgraceful. Nay, be it considered a tool at all? What dost the weapon do when the steel hath no guide, that the master hath mingled far? Doth it Stay? Perhaps quiver at possibility, the loss of reason for existence? Or does it go forth into the unknown, guided by merely the wind and the edge? A wandering sword, a phantom blade- A lone Samurai. ------------------------ Credit to Nicklas Gustaffson for the image. The Shadow That Preludes Death (The Favoured)
Magic and fantastical beasts run wild on the countless worlds of the Fabric. Deities take an active interest in the Fabric. The Favoured, immortal mages of immense power vie for territory and power in the Fabric. Umbra a naive ward of the Duke is almost Grown and that means she will need to take an apprenticeship. The issue is she isn't good at anything, but she catches the eye of a master of magic, he thinks she might be one of the fabled Protectors the ones that would save them from the coming destruction. But Umbra isn't the hero everyone wants her to be. Updates will at least one chapter every two days. Notable Location Poliagoras. Poliagoras is the most important world in the Fabric partly due to it being the centre of everything both literally and metaphorically. Trade, commerce, travel, and politics are all conducted primarily on Poliagoras, it has the biggest city in the fabric stretching to cover almost the entire world. It also holds all the known Great portals in the Fabric which are the only way to travel to other worlds. Even without these things, Poliagoras would still be the most important world in the Fabric as it is home to the largest population of Favoured. They were mages chosen by the Deities and given the potential to become more than mortal. I cannot overstate how appreciated constructive criticism is. This is the first story I have written of my own volition so even a small comment on how I could improve would be great. The current title is most definitely a working one. I know it isn't great.
