Lawson patted his hands together. "Alright, so. Spell out all the problems and your ways to fix it. I'll poke all the holes, maybe go on Reddit and post it there to let them poke more holes, and then we'll review it." Then he caught sight of Joseph's smile and added, "I'll also ask the experts to review it as well."

Joseph said, "Good!" and he begun.

"Firstly, I'll like to speak of my belief. In order to focus on the world's problems, it's best to fix the problems we have at home first. Instead of spreading our effort throughout several problems, it's best to pour in effort and resources into finishing one problem as soon as possible. Focus inwards, before outwards. Nail the problems we have here first.

Second, the resources of the economy are Capital, Entreprenuership, Land, and Labour. Due to...stuff, the resources here are not fully utilised." He sighs. The two both say at the same time, "Due to people not looking forward."

Joseph continues, "What is money good for? When you die, it is not as if you can carry money along. I mean, I understand, money is something we all need to survive. Food, services, shelter... all bought by money. It is the hoarding of money I do not understand. What is the use? You'll never be able to spend an entire trillion on luxury products for your entire life."

He faced the window. "To all those that hoard...surely a million, or at most a billion, would be enough to save your entire empire or, even in the worst case scenario, allow you to start up again or live normally without any worries." Joseph kneaded his forehead. "Okay, maybe not a million. 800k is already needed to live luxuriously for a year."

Lawson corrected, "80k."

Joseph pinched his forehead tighter. "That's what, 10 years?"

"12 and a half, really."

"Yes, and all you need is to save a bit here and there and that'll be enough to last at least half a year more. But! You didn't come here to hear me rant about how billionaires shouldn't hoard."

Joseph's shoulders fell. "Really, the problem that I should fix is how we aren't effectively using the resources of our economy.

I mean, the Homeless? That's un-effective use of a labour force, right there. Not to say all the goods they can buy if they got a proper income. Not to say that all Homeless don't have a proper source of income, but..you know...I digress.

The real problem of my presidency is how, pardon my French, how USA has fucked the economy by only looking at the short term benefits.

Let's list it down.

1. Big Pharma raises price of insulin. Short term benefit: They get more money. Long term consequence: more people that we can use, possible experts, possible entreprenuers, possible labour force: they die. Or, they go homeless due to costs, and then that's still a loss of a llabour force.

2. Staying in a hospital or even using an ambulance costs so much. Short term benefit: They get more money. Long term consequence: people go homeless due to costs, or they get afraid and don't go to hospitals: either way, loss of labour force.

3. Health insurance companies raises premiums. Some people can't pay. They go homeless or they don't have health insurance. They either become a loss of labour force, or they die due to infection, or they get crippled, yada...loss of labour force.

Not to say all the spiritual bits, as well. Possible entreprenuers lost. People who could inject more money into the economy: lost.

The economy and the public both feeds off each other. In order to have a good economy, the people should live well. When the people live well, the economy is good."

Joseph turned around and faced Lawson. "It's not as if there's some kind of ulterior motive to helping people. But the fact is, if we help people, we get all these extra benefits. I really...really do not understand. Everywhere I go I see people needing GoFundMe-s for surgeries, or to keep off the streets, or, or, or..."

Lawson patted Joseph on the back. "That's why you're here, right? You're going to fix this."

Joseph exhaled. "I'm going to fix this.

Anyways," he concluded, "that's why I need to start setting up the groundwork to nationalize health insurance, big pharma, and hospitals."
