《Evil Cultivator》Chapter 17

Vlad finished his training a little disappointed, it seemed he still needed a few more days to break through to the core creation realm, but that demoralized him, it only strengthens his will.
One reason Vlad wanted to break through quickly was because of the yearly tournament held tomorrow in the training hall, Vlad had heard about this tournament quite a while ago, people had already started preparing for the tournament, Vlad not wanting to fall back also started preparing.
The day went by as Vlad walked to his room, he didn't see Alice or Kagae, so he went to his room and quickly slept, he wanted to be refreshed and focused tomorrow.
Vlad didn't get any new nightmares after that day, so he eventually forgot about it, Vlad felt nice and relaxed as he woke up.
Vlad executed a quick shower as he looked at his new clothes, this was a simple military outfit, a simple hat with a camouflage shirt, and pants with large black boots and a leather belt.
Vlad wore his outfit as he placed the katana on his belt and hanged the spear behind his back, Vlad looked rather professional and elegant.
Vlad noticed the castle was especially filled with life today, as he saw a lot of new faces, Vlad found Alice and joined her as they walked towards the training hall, a large stage was arranged in the middle with serval fighting arenas and each of them was quite big, a large crowd had also started gathering.
Vlad suddenly saw Ria and her Uncle enter the stage and sit in a luxurious seat accompanied by serval guests, more wore military cloaths, while some wore luxurious kimonos, he also noticed a man in a formal navy blue suit, Vlad was quite shocked, this was really similar to his previous life, where a lot of people wore similar suits.

'I wonder who he is..... well it seems like the tournament should be starting soon, let's hope my investment pays off.' Vlad thought.
Some time passed and it seemed like the arena was almost full, suddenly Ria's Uncle stood up accompanied by three-man, one was the guy who wore the navy suit, one was a military personnel and the last one wore a luxurious kimono.
All three of them excluded auras greater or equal to Ria's Uncle.
"Today I welcome you to the annual tournament held by my Felix Family, Before we begin, I shall state the rules, the fights will be a 1 vs 1, killing is not allowed, nor is destroying others' energy core. 10 minutes per match if the winner is not decided between that period, we four the judges will decide the outcome and be careful not to break the rules or else, the punishment is harsh, now I will ask for Sir Arthur to formally address you regarding the rewards and the tournament." The Family head said in a heavy tone.
The man in the blue suit suddenly stood up gracefully and started to address the rewards, the crowds, especially the participant's eyes glowed as they heard him.
"The tournament is divided into 2 main parts, the first part is for bone forging cultivators, the rewards for the 1st person in the bone forging tournament is a top-class cultivation technique, a Grade 4 Core enchantment pill and 50 spirit stones, the second and third place both will get Grade 4 Core enchantment pills and 20 spirit stones, these pills will significantly improve your Core quality, while the rest of the top 10 will get 10 spirit stones....." Sir Arthur then went on to describe the rewards for the core creation realm cultivators.
Hearing this Vlad was a little glad he didn't break through, fighting against peak core creation while just breaking through is definitely bad. He was quite happy with his current position.

Vlad had also heard about these spirit stones but the only place he saw them being used were the castle library and Pill store, he was quite curious about them so he decided to ask Alice.
"Alice, What are these spirit stones."
"Oh Vlad dear, these are stones that have energy stored inside of them, this is the main currency cultivators use in the whole world, each of them has the same quantity, you can also use them for cultivation," Alice replied in a rather friendly manner.

Divine Progress
Progress is a dubious god. After failing him, three people are banished from modern times and sent to another world. Seemingly out of place, Christoph is snatched from his own time and plunged into a world of violence and magic with no deity to lend him support. Instead, Progress has seen fit to curse him with an eternal hunger for magical energy. Branded as a demon, he must fight for survival while battling the servants of the god who sent him there, struggling against the 'gift' that Progress bestowed upon him and the past he sought to abandon. Can he make his way across the lands and gather enough strength to survive without the blessings of the Divine? Or will the gods bend him to their will, breaking him if he seeks to resist? This is not a short story, and the plot will take many twists and turns before Christoph's journey comes to a close. After all, it is not the destination, but the Progress that matters in the end. Like many other stories on RoyalRoad, this is my first piece. Feedback is more than welcome, so please leave a reply if you have a comment or question.
