《HoneyComb》Bee build

After a nice long sleep you expect to wake up refreshed right? Well you're right, but having the blinding light pierce your many eyes because you have no eyelids is not a nice experience.

Why!? I was having a nice dream. Oh, something's wrong, like really wrong, if I could feel pain I would’ve passed out by now… oh, it’s my stomach…

I take a look towards where my stomach is and see a small hole with stomach acid leaking out… WHAT!?

What!? I was that hungry!? I have no way to heal! Wait, the flower!

I quickly crawled off the flower to not ruin my only food source, but I crawled towards the edge of the flower which caused me to fall and land in a thin layer of snow.

I need healing! Healing magic! But I have none…

I need to patch the hole! How!? Ice magic! It should be charged! Okay, shoot! shoot!

shoot! shoot! shoot!.

I start feeling the cold sensation form in my mouth, so I turn to aim at the hole, but I can't.

I can’t turn my head enough! Stop! Stop the magic!

I feel the cooling sensation dissipate. But I’m still about to starve!

Magic! But not in my mouth! Please!? I need some kind of barrier! Give me a barrier!

I try forcing my magic to fill the hole but I don’t have good control over my magic, even so something is happening.

I don’t know what’s happening, but continue!

I start to feel my whole body freeze as my magic starts to surround the surface of my body, eventually I start to see a thin layer of ice surround my body.

This is good! It should cover the hole. my wings! Can’t have those freezing.

I flap my wings slowly to prevent ice from freezing them, and I do it slowly to prevent generating heat and melting the ice.

When the ice is done it completely froze over the hole, but the ice is red with blood and I don’t expect it to last long, so I need to get to the flower and collect pollen.

I flap my wings and go over to the flower, and to my luck, the flower is unharmed by my stomach acid. I land on the and run my legs over the flower to collect pollen and quickly eat it.

I do this over and over, eventually my legs stop collecting pollen.

This isn’t enough!? Wait, there’s nectar, I completely forgot about that! I look around the flower and see two thin holes at the edges of the flower. I quickly crawl over to the hole and stick my bee tongue in it and I start sucking up the nectar.

When I feel that my stomach is full I stop and look at my stomach. The hole was completely yellow with pollen and nectar trying to break the ice and escape my body.

Gross… No! You stay there until my stomach somehow heals!

I try to use the ice barrier again, luckily it seems it doesn't use as much magic as the lazor so I can do it again. I try focusing the magic on the injury but when the ice covers my body again it’s only a tiny bit thicker than the rest of the ice.

Okay… this will work, can’t believe I almost died of starvation.

[you have gained the skill ice barrier lv1!]

Huh? Whatever. Put magic points into it or something… nothing happened, great.

I rest on the flower and calm myself, right now I need to focus on the base.

I fly over to the hole I made in the wall for the flower and fill it with snow and compact it. It looks a bit off but it will do, and the zigzag part of the wall doesn’t make it harder at least.

I wanna look for more flowers, but I don’t have the energy. The whole stomach situation really killed my mood for today.

I’ll just work on the inside of the base, like clearing out the snow… why is there snow? I’m pretty sure it didn’t snow last night.

I realized that there was snow a few inches deep filling my base, which was strange, but luckily it was there to break my fall when I jumped off the flower. I didn’t feel like clearing out the area so I’m going to do something else, something for my protection.

I’m gonna claim this land mine… wish I could’ve made that sound cooler.

First step is defending my base. I can probably make a pitfall trap with thin ice and cover it with snow, I could make spikes with sticks and my mandibles to put at the bottom of my pitfall trap.

Maybe some warning things, i don’t have any string though, nor fancy spider abilities. Maybe a bait trap? that would mostly remove the need for a warning trap if they die before they even get here.

I guess I’ll do that, and look for some flowers along the way.

I’ll work for a while to beef up my defenses and maybe up my offense, somehow.

Oh! I could probably create a string with a tree or something, I think it was a red cedar tree that has stringy fiber… but these aren’t red cedar trees as far as I know.

Maybe the white grass? Although I don’t think that will be strong enough to support something like a ballista, not that I know how to make one. I could try the classic rope trap, but I need to focus on defense.

I fly away from my base and fly towards where the forest starts. I decided to build here first, I start with pitfalls around the perimeter of the empty field.

A pitfall, easy, just a hole and some spikes.

I clear out the snow and spread it around to make it not suspicious until the hole reaches the dirt. I go to test the grass with my mandibles in case it’s useful, it’s not, it tore easily releasing a white powder that hit my antenna causing a bitter smell.

Gross! What is this? Pesticide? And smelling with my antenna is kinda weird.

I shove mandibles in the dirt and tear out a chunk off earth, but not without the cost of crushing grass and releasing that gross smell. I fly out the hole and toss the dirt to the side and fly back down to repeat the process.

After a bit I dug a deep hole, deep enough to trap a human, but just enough to kill a frog. Now time to make it kill everything.

I fly out the hole to grab some long branches, but first I bury the dirt to hide it.

Okay tree! Prepare for a noble sacrifice.

After flying up to a random tree I find a good looking branch, straight and sturdy. I open my mandibles and comp down on the branch, leaving a cut a few inches deep. I repeat this action until the branch finally falls, landing in the snow with a loud crunch.

I hope nothing hears that, if they can hear it. I’m not sure whether I’m hearing things, or just sensing vibrations with my antenna and my brain turns it into a recognizable sound, if it’s the second option, it’s likely that my antennas are sensitive so it’s louder than it actually is… I hope.

I fly down and land on the branch, then start sharpening it by using my mandibles to slice away at the bark like a pencil sharpener, though it’s very difficult to do so. This is gonna take awhile.
