《Living in my Own World!》Chapter 3

With my secret out to my father, I stare at the ground. Will they throw me out? Will they send me to the military? I was scared.
"So you're saying... the second SSS potential, which, by the way, will eventually evolve into a Divine Being, is my son? Is that what you're saying?"
"I- uh..."
I didn't know what to say. Other than the fact that he is a giant of a man, maybe even at 7'2" or so, he's also my father, the person who could kick me out at any time. But when I looked up, he was crying?
"I'm so happy that my son is going to be one of the strongest people alive!" Not just crying, he was full-on bawling his eyes out!
"Calm down! Please, just calm down," I said, almost begging him at this point.
"I'm just so happy for you!"
He was hopeless, wasn't he?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Around 20 minutes later, the hulk of a man finally stopped crying and stood up to look at me. I was probably up to his stomach, so I was pretty intimidated.
"You know what this means, right?" My father asked me. I didn't even know his name and he was crying for me.
"No, what does it mean?" I asked timidly.
A silence before he spoke again.
"It means... you need to go to the academy early. It means you need to learn how to control your immense power before you get yourself killed. Do you understand?"
I looked up at him, and with that, I was frightened. Not only did he say that I could get myself killed with my power, but he also said something about an academy? I let out a deep sigh before answering him.
"So, firstly, what is an academy? And second, get myself killed?"
"Yeah, I forgot you are a child. An academy is a place to learn or study in a specific field. This academy is studying the field of magic and swordsmanship. It's a place where you can go to learn how to control your magic. Magic is a good asset, however, it is also a downfall for me. If you let your magic go out of control, you may end up becoming a demon. A demon like you is one that can destroy the entire world after a few days. So, please, control your magic. I enjoy this world."
I was a bit scared. I never realized how powerful SSS potential was, but I guess now I know. Once again, I sighed deeply and nodded.
"Good. Get some rest, you'll need it. I'll be bringing you to the academy in about 6 weeks," he stated before walking away.
I didn't know why he wanted me to get rest for something that's in 6 weeks, but tomorrow morning, I quickly realized why.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning, I was put through intense magic control training. My father, who I now know is known as Rufford Ravenwood, asked me to try to put my 'aura' back inside of my body. This, apparently, could help me also hide my presence. After around an hour, I got the hang of it.
Advertisement
Aura is used to see how strong one is, and what their intent is. If you hide your presence, you can also learn how to change your presence. Only a very small number of people have learned how to do this because of the difficulty of it.
Groaning from exhaustion, I walked from the beautiful backyard. Our backyard didn't have much besides a small training area, which my older brother Peter used before he was taken to the front lines.
The only thing that was worth mentioning in my backyard was a large tree. I didn't know the specific type of tree it was, but it was a beautiful tree nonetheless.
Finishing admiring the tree, I looked towards the gray sky. It seemed like it was going to rain. I never had any issues with rain. I enjoyed it, the small drops of water that falls onto you with a splash. It was mesmerizing, and that's where I did most of my thinking for the last few days.
With that, I went back inside and went to bed. With so much on my mind, it took me a while to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to my father, for whatever reason, poking me in the back. I looked at him with a questioning look on my face. He didn't respond, he only said to get the uniform on and to follow him. Getting up, I grabbed the clothes already laid out for me.
It's been 6 weeks, and that means that it's time to go to the academy. Following him, he led me outside to a carriage. It was what I'd consider pretty luxurious. I'd guess that he still had some 'noble money' left over, so that's how he paid for everything. The carriage was black and the inside had red seats and a dark floor. There was no horse in the front, only a man that was using magic to carry it around. It looked pretty average from other carriages I've seen. Hell, at one time I saw a golden carriage with actual men carrying the 4 people inside. I felt bad for them inside.
I got inside the magical carriage and only then realized how comfy those seats were. The academy that I was going to be studying at was called the Academy of Solus, after the Sun God.
I was told that there are x main gods; Solus, Luna, Lux, Tenebris, Ventus, Terra, Unda and Ignis. Solus is the Sun God, the so-called 'creator.' Lux is the god of Light. Tenebris is the god of darkness and he helps the so-called "goddess of destruction," Luna. Ventus is the Wind God, Terra is the Earth God, Unda is the God of Water and finally, Ignis is the God of Fire. Every god has their opposite, for example, light and darkness, water and fire, earth and wind. These opposites are able to hurt each other very badly and, in wars, there are always opposites in the field just to deflect the others' attacks.
After about an hour, we reached the Academy. It was fairly large, red, and had windows all over the place. It wasn't just one building, however, it was multiple. For example, the training center was in another building, with all classes in one, all the dorms in three separate buildings. The three dorms were for staff, male and female dorms. We were supposed to head over to the reception area first. I wonder how everyone will react to a 2-year-old in the building. But I was a pretty tall 2-year-old. I was around 4'2", so I was fairly tall.
"Why's a kid here?" Someone said. I didn't respond because I didn't get aggravated that easily. I headed into the reception building and went up to the desk.
"Hello there, what is your name?" The receptionist asked politely, smiling.
"Hello, my name is Kas Ravenwood," I responded in the same manner as her.
"Kas... Kas... Found you! Okay, ye- TWO YEARS OLD?!!?"
My smile changed to a wry one, grimacing, too.
"Uh, yes, I am indeed two years old."
She calmed down before responding.
"I am sorry for my outburst, but the youngest student to attend was 4 years old, and he had an S potential. That must mean you're better than him?"
I grimaced a bit more.
"I- uh... Yeah, yeah I am."
I wasn't really scared of sharing this information. The worst that could happen is an assassin coming for me, and over the past few weeks, even that wouldn't help unless they had an SS potential or was an SSS ranked from the Assassin's Guild. Also, there are multiple guilds. There's the Assassin's Guild, the Merchant's Guild, the Adventurer's Guild and then the Mercenary Guild. The Assassin's Guild is a very secretive guild. They are used to murder someone else, either important or not. They have only failed two missions, one on the SS potential King, and one on the other SSS ranked Hero. The Merchant's Guild is not as secretive but is used to do trade among people and sell products. Their ranks are Apprentice to Grandmaster, so they're pretty different. The Assassin's Guild uses the same ranking system as the Merchant's Guild. The Mercenary's Guild is only a little bit different from the Adventurer's Guild; they will do almost any job for money. They're considered the money whores of society, whatever that means.
My goal is to get into the Adventurer's Guild at one point, and become an SSS-ranked adventurer! I've heard that they take on the worst kind of jobs, from the dragon-slaying ones to the Primordial-class slaying kind. Monsters are in different groups in every country, but I like this one better: Basic-class, the lowest monsters. They can't do much to cities but can kill low-ranked adventurers or villagers. Intermediate-class are more of a threat, and they can cause havoc to entire villages, but mostly small or undeveloped villages. Advanced-class monsters are one of the hardest ones to kill, causing havoc to most cities and towns. Divine-class monsters can destroy an entire city or mountains with ease, so they are taken care of with caution, and only S-ranked adventurers can even come near them.
Now, Ancient-class is an entirely different story. There have only been two spotted in history; Demon Lord Zen, and Dragon God Eldror, who both could destroy the world. They are still talked about to this day.
Noticing I spaced out, I looked back up to the seemingly annoyed receptionist, and I scratched my head.
"Sorry, what did you say?" I asked as politely as I could.
"Your room number is 23, please keep this key safe or pay a penalty for losing it. Have a good day," she said before shooing me away.
I walked towards the male dorms with some magical theories lingering in my mind. Some memories have come back, like programming and the basics of the world of whoever gave me these memories used to live in. With a sigh, I walked through the very long hallway to find room 23.
"23? No that's 22... Wait, how is that number 24? What the hell is going on?!?!"
It took me a while to find number 23. I swear, this is ridiculous. Whoever designed this place should be fired. When I walked into my door, I found it was empty, with 2 bunk beds and 4 desks. It was a spacious room, and I particularly enjoyed it. The walls were made out of the same material as my own house, but looked somehow cleaner? I'd say a lot of magic was used. The floors were much better, some sort of weird white material I've never seen before. From my memories, I tried to figure it out, but that was a no-go.
Besides the basics and programming, I decided to see if I could learn a few spells. I mashed light into a circular shape, and named it Light Bulb, with strength 5. I had tried this earlier and it seemed to work. Apparently, all you had to do was register a name to a spell and you could just say it in your head and it would work. It was really cool.
> Skill "Magic Manipulation X" acquired.
> Skill "Special Manipulation X" acquired.
> Skill "Magic Control VIII" acquired.
> Skill "Learning X" acquired.
With that, a couple more joined them, such as Null Magic, Earth Magic, Water Magic, Wind Magic, Fire Magic, Water Magic, Divine Magic, Chaos Magic, and more. I was beyond confused. I was told people could only withstand one singular affinity, but I had all of them?!?!
Lying down in my bed, I shut my eyes with a throbbing headache, and I went to sleep.
