Long time ago, I had a friend that I go adventure together with.

Her name is Remilia. She was strong,beautiful, and can do anything unlike me...

weak,clumsy, and can't seem to do anything right.

Even so, she still want to go with me and always comfort me when I feel down.

She promise me that she will never leave me, until that one day...

We were on the dungeon, fighting crystal golem called 『Karo Vitreus』.

It was so strong we can't do anything but to pray for help to come.

But in the end, help was never come. I desperately pray... I don't wish for anything else

Atleast... Atleast let Remilia escape from here safe and sound! I even dare to sell

my soul to demon lord if only she can survive. But...

I was too careless... The golem almost smash me with it's feet.

I close my eyes scared... I guess this is the end for me. Ah...

I still want to go into an adventure with Remilia again.

"Vanecia look out!!!!"

Remilia suddenly came and push me out of range of the golem's feet.

In exchange for her body to be crashed along only to safe my life.

"N-no... Remilia!!!!!"

I scream and cried... When the golem raise it's feet, Remilia's body already smashed

out of shape. I can't even see her face, her hands, her legs, and her body anymore.

It's all my fault... It's all my fault.. Because I was so useless she died...

I can't even do anything to help her... I'm so useless...

A few moments later, a bunch of Veteran Class Adventurer came to help.

But it was too late, Remilia already died in front of my eyes.

I really regret for what happened on that day.

"If only... If only I got power to atleast defend myself.."

I keep murmuring that, but no matter how much I cried, pray, and scream.

She won't came back to life. Her family and friends blame me for her death.

They won't even let me see her grave and pray for her death.

The rumor spread around the town like a wind and because of that

no one want to go adventure with me anymore.

And because of that, I won't let that thing happened again!

This is my time for me to safe someone's life and not to be saved anymore.

I need to atleast make my life be useful to someone before I died!

"Now come at me you creepy monsters! I won't let you creeps pass here!"

Back to Lion's point of view.

"Oooiii!!!!!"

Tch, the boulders of rocks already block the other side...

It's still 3 minutes until my magic can be used again.

Damn, I shouldn't have used 『Ignis』 back then. If only I

used other magic, I wouldn't have to wait for this stupid cooldown

and let her trapped on the other side.

"Tch, I aim to be one of the best adventurer but I can't even save one girl?!

Please be safe until the next 3 minutes... I promise I'll get you back to town

alive safe and sound!"

But still, I can't sit calmly and wait. I desperately dig the boulders and try to get into the other side.

Atleast until my magic has cooled down then I blast these boulders away and immediately safe her!

3 minutes has passed. I hurriedly cast explosion magic and run to the other side to safe her.

The boulders scattered everywhere because of the explosion magic, I hope not a single boulder hit her.

But on the other side... One of the 『Viele　Beine』 long and sharp leg has pierce through

the fragile body of that girl... Blood spilling everywhere and she's already in state

between life and death.
