《Writing test》15.I.N.N.

"HAH! Alright! I have to give it to you, that was a first."
"So i'm in?"
"Well, you certainly did an impression so, welcome to the 'Insert Nongeneric Name' or 'I.N.N.' for short."
*blink*...*blink**blink**blink**Blink**Blink**BLINK**BLINK*
"Huh, audible blinks, that's absolutely going to the top ten."
"Is... is it really called 'Insert Nongeneric Name'?"
"Yes."
"...Alright, any specifics i may need to know?"
"Mmm... i suppose i may as well explain the layout of the city in our way."
"Alright, let me see if i got it right... It is Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony, Greed, Envy and Lust, clockwise, right?"
"That's right, their position within the city is, according to them, symbolic."
"According to them? And what is it according to you?"
"Politics, what else? Many of the inhabitants of the plains foolishly think that when, if, they ascend, their existence will become a paradise of indulgence and comfort, and for that end they babble and squabble at each other as if it would bring them out of here. Noisy retards is what they are and nothing less. They have all the brains of a newcomer demon and half their bravery."
"Soooo... i've heard the distinction between demons and devils a couple times but, what does it mean?"
"Trying to take my mind off politics by changing theme, are you?"
"It depends... does it work?"
"Heh! Yeah, it does. The distinction is due to what they were before turning into hellspawn, and usually how they turned too. As you can see the 'standard' form or imps are anthropomorphic, that probably has a reason but for now let's skip it, what were you before dying?"
"Alright, yeah, i was anthropomorphic, but with a practically limitless number of worlds out there it doesn't make sense that all beings with a soul capable of, what was it? condensing?"

"Condensing, yes."
"Well, the point is there must be non-anthropomorphic beings that turn into hellspawns so the imp standard makes no sense, right?"
"You are quick on the uptake, i'll give you that. Yes, that should be the case shouldn't it? Well then, why isn't it?"
"Aaaaaaaah, i have no clue."
"Neither me, it is and no one down here knows why. What's important for now is that the anthropomorphic forms are prevalent as sapients within the system, and for some reason, unknown of course, only the souls of sapient beings condense and turn into hellspawn, now that prevalence means that over ninety percent of hellspawn are what is called 'Devils' because of their similarity with prevalent sapients, but even with those uncanny numbers there are indeed species of non anthropomorphic sapients, and when they condense they turn into other, more appropiate forms, and thus 'Demons'. Of course there are individual names for their subgroups but they are not important now, so, got it?"
"More or less, yeah, but, you said that how they turned had something to do with it..."
"Oh right, almost forgot, this should not matter for now as you are still an imp, but it's no big secret so... well, ascended, some of them, have the ability to turn others into hellspawn, for example, it is said that those who follow wrath can, at some point, duel a beast in a ritualistic duel and obtain said beast's soul to turn into a war mount or pet by turning them into hellspawn, it's also said that sapients that indulge with lust followers until their death can be turned into mindless hellspawn that follow their master's every order like an IT customer service employee."

Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return
On the distant world of Mendala, a rash of mysterious attacks have left many towns destroyed, and there are rumors of an army of monsters. Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
