《Metamorphosis》Realization

Darkness.
I found myself surrounded by darkness, it was different from that moment when I reincarnated.
"Mom, dad..." They were killed, in front of my eyes I had seen my father head detached from his body, mother sacrificed herself trying to help us.
Wait where is Aria?!
I open my eyes suddenly, the reason for the darkness was because my eyes were closed.
As my vision stabilizes I find myself in a different place, full of majestic trees with pink leaves, I get myself on my feet trying to see where Aria was.
I try to speak as loud as I can ignoring my injuries "Aria, where are you?".
Minutes and perhaps hours passed and I still didn't find her.
*Dammit!*
*It was all their fault... My family got killed by nobles, that was the only conclusion.*
*Luke Clemence.*
*I will not forgive him, I will become stronger and kill him and then I will kill his sons...*
"Aria... I thought she was teleported with me, yet I can't find her."
I grit my hands out of rage.
If I continue like this how can I survive?
I take apart the rage, and start to analyze the situation I am in now. I'm in a place that looks like a forest without money, burned and stained clothes with blood, and my surname is too dangerous, I need to change my Identity...
*Perhaps changing only my surname will be enough, still, if I'm a citizen I should be protected, I think...*
I hear my stomach grumble, I should hunt for food, but what type of creatures there are in this place?
I start to emit mana from my body, that was how enchanting the body with mana works, you need to create particles from your body and surround yourself with them.

I start to walk randomly in the forest trying to check for some type of food. Then I got my eyes on some type of fruit? I think.
*It has the form of an apple, the color was different, it's yellow.*
I step closer to it and grab it, I detach it from the branch and bite it.
My eyes teared as soon as I tasted this fruit, I don't know how much time I didn't eat, maybe it was this that made the fruit so tasteful.
Then, I heard something stepping on the branches.
I immediately look at the creature, it's similar to a bear and his eyes are red, his fur black like the night sky, and long sharpened fangs on his paws.
As soon as he saw me looking at him he suddenly roared and ran up to me.
I enhance my body with mana as fast as I can and unexpectedly it was already in front of me.
I dodge to my left and felt the wind that came from the gushing of the bear.
I grouped the mana in the ambient and make my hands blazing, I step closer to the bear and hit him in the liver, the hit make most of his fur burn.
He suddenly made a cry of pain and started even more aggressively to attack me. It seemed like killing him was the only choice I had, careful that my body didn't get sliced by him, I put out the fire from my hands and make the ambient mana form a blade in my right hand.
Just when the bear was attacking me I manage to slice his throat with my right hand.
He starts looking at me and then collapses.
I start to feel cold from the cold air and the upcoming night, then I come up with a fantastic idea.

*His fur could warm me throughout the night*
I approach the carcass and start wondering, "Uhm... with what do I slice the fur?" I start to think about it and then look at his fangs.
"Well, better than nothing." I proceed to say as I tear one of his fangs.
I grip the blooding fang and proceed to cut off the fur from the bear.
One hour passes before I had all of his fur.
Using water I manage to clean it and then dry it with fire.
I wrap myself in it and I was really comfortable.
I enhance my legs with all the mana I had to jump high enough to a large branch of a tree.
Luckily I used my arms to grab the tree, the jump wasn't high enough.
I fall with my whole on the branch, it was enough big to sleep on it, the fur was perfect for sleeping in a place like this, It was so soft that it seemed like a bed.
I look at the stars, even though I was in a new world, it had many things similar to mine.
"I have lost my family..." I say with sadness.
*They cared about me, they were not like the previous family I had, I didn't get abandoned by this family...*
I felt something in my cheks I move my hand towards my face and touch with my fingers my cheeks.
There were tears.
I lost the people who loved me here, and the fault was from that bastard...
He should get punished, if he killed another noble then he should get arrested.
But what if all the noble in the town have agreed to kill my father?
My eyes go wide thinking this.
Could I kill all the nobles in a town? There is to consider that humans are not the strongest race in this world, from what I read the strongest race was between vampires and elves.
I am a human and even if I'm not one of the strongest races I will train to become strong enough to kill all the nobles here, I need to train following this reason.
That bastard Luke Clemence is maybe the weakest of all the nobles, my father could have killed him easily, then why did he die?
I close my eyes to prepare for tomorrow.
I need to become better than now, for surviving and for revenge.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Sufficiently Advanced
A Novella about magic vs aliens vs science. It's a raucous, campy sci-fi read involving humans gaining magic, a possibly pizza-hating alien empire, the decapitation of the US Federal Government, eldritch abominations, lesbian space witches and some medium-hard science.I wouldn't say it's not serious, but I wouldn't say it's serious. Eh, it's not serious. Wait... it's getting serious.
