My mother heard immediately the sound of the water gushing out of my hand.
*Dammit I made too much noise!*
"Lisa!" She says gasping, she starts looking from where the sound was coming from, and then she looks at my hand and the book that I was trying to read.
*Please don't take the book away...*
She makes her way towards me and grabs the book, after she examines it she starts speaking, "This book... My parents used to teach me about mana and magic when I was 12, do you... Understand what it's written in this book?" she looks at me dumbfounded.
I try to respond even though it's still hard for me to talk, "Not at all... Mother, I only read some words written in the book."
She even looks more dumbfounded when I told her that I could read a little bit, mother and father read some books aloud with me, I was reading the books meanwhile following when they spoke.
*I want to learn how mana works so that I can start already training.*
"Mom, can I borrow the book for studying it?" I manage to ask.
"Mhh, I don't have any problems giving the book to you, but if you want to properly understand this book and many others, you will need other lessons to learn properly how to write, are you fine with that?" she said doubtfully.
I try to be as enthusiastic as possible, "S-sure!".
*In my previous life I had many school lessons and when I entered the military, I was pretty weak at the start but I ended up having a significant role in the military, and I ended up becoming a general. I still think it was just lucky to have a role like that.*

Some weeks passed and I started to learn more about how to understand the writing, I decided to read the book after I had at least enough knowledge to understand it without any problems.
I could watch a fight, precisely a fight between nobles, the fight took place in the garden of my house. In this world there are noble bloodlines, my father was fighting against another noble of another bloodline, I didn't understand what the name of that man was. He stood presumptuously in front of my father, he had a big sword that was almost big as him with some minerals that seemed rich at the start of his sword.
His hair licked and lapped in the breeze like a wave, his eyebrows were thick and connected, and the color of his eyes was like the leaves that fall in autumn, but even though my father said that it was a simple fight he was staring at my father with killing intent, I don't really know if he noticed that.
The stature of the man was the one of a brute, just by staring at him he seemed at least 6.1 inches high. He had armor that had various plates that protected the most important parts of the body. I could tell from my experience in the war that his weapon wasn't really sharp, but instead of cutting perhaps, he wanted the sword to do more destructive power counting the dimension.
My father's weapon was a short sword, it was sharper than the one of the other man, and his armor was of leather, he didn't use a bigger armor because it would make him slower so evading the hits of the other man would have been harder, he stood calm prepared to the upcoming attacks.
A subordinate of one of the bloodlines walked into the center of the garden and announced the start of the fight.

Suddenly the man dashed towards my father at a monstrous speed counting his stature, my prediction was correct, the sword wasn't for slicing things, but it was only big and resistant to throw blows with big destructive power.
My father dodged the hit of the man and hastily cast 3 fireballs that appeared behind himself, the man parried two of the fireballs using his shoulder and arm and the other fireball with his sword.
It was like something was around their body, I could feel it even if I couldn't see it.
Then the man when he was slashing his sword, a red aura engulfed half of his sword and when he had done the slash the aura of red that was in the sword reached and broken the ground towards my father, my father when he noticed the attack he raised his sword and the sword started to shine as if it was full of energy and it started sparkling, he dodged and hurled at the same an electric ray from the point of his sword.
*What the hell?!*
*He created a move like that in less than 4 seconds...*
The electric ray reached the man and destroyed most of his armor and that caused his body several damaged by the intense force.
My father suddenly dashed towards him and cut up more of his armor so that the future attacks of my father would wound him easily.
I and my mother were not the only people that was watching the fight. There was my sister that seemed entertained since the start of the fight while my mom seemed a little worried, and then the other people from the other noble family, a woman, a maid, and the 2 sons of the woman and the man, they had almost the same age of my sister, I wasn't capable to know how these people looked like because most of my attention was for the fight.
My father won the battle, I watched the fight from the start and noticed perfectly that the man from the other family was realizing killing intent since the start of the fight. He seemed serious in the fight, meanwhile, my father didn't even seem bothered by him and wasn't serious, I knew that my father had other abilities other than the one he used that day, probably he never intended to use them in the fight because they would destroy most of the place.

Galduta
What seperates beasts from men isn't the language we speak or any such drivel taught to us in school. It isn't the way we walk or our intelligence that sets us apart.
