Chapter 8 : competition begins / dragon vs man

" the rule of competition is that , you aren't allowed to kill . If you killed your peer , you will be arrested by law enforcement team from sect .

If your opponent surrenders or got kicked out of stage , they lost . And any kind of weapons are allowed as long as you don't injure your opponent too deep .

The match will have only 10 minutes . The winner would have to face 3 more matches . In those 3 matches , if the participants got eliminated by their opponent than they are officially out .

Now everyone , you can chose your opponent and enter the stage " announced the referee.

"So the competition begins ha " said one of the elder .

" I would like to see what that brat would do ? I am sure that brat wouldn't even last for one match " said fan qi in anger .

"Hehe… why are you so angry ? It isn't like you at all , elder qi " said Ai Han while giggling.

"I guess so . Haha " replied fan qi.

On the stae , there were 6 stages , so 12 competitors would get their chance to fight at once. Rules even allows to fight one on two or more , but they have to be qualified.

On the one of martial stage , man qi walked with his chest held high and like a dragon , with a proud and mighty eyes . Anyone could feel a strange suppression coming out from him .

He was the true dragon amongst dragons .

He looked around and declared " if anyone there is that can fight me than get on the stage "

" what an arrogance, man qi , don't be full of yourself . Your opponent is here , I , yang shi will be your opponent " with that a person silhouette came from the crowds of disciple .

He had a strange aura covering around him , it felt like he was the man amongst man that would trample anyone that gets on his way .

He got on the stage and a sphere of barrier covered the stage.

Yang shi pointed his metal spear toward man qi and coldly smiled " today , I shall utterly crush you and your arrogance "

Man qi coldly snorted " crush my arrogance , sorry but I don't have one . This isn't arrogance but confidence , absolute confidence "

"Enough of your nonsense, get ready to beg for mercy " yang shi leaped from his spot and dashed toward man qi with his spear thrusting the air and creating a spiral air phenomenon on the tip of the spear .

" I am a dragon that no human can reach me . ' cried man qi and clenched his right fist and dashed toward yang shi .

Both of them slowly closed their distance , finally when they were some few step distance away , yang shi aimed his spear toward man qi's face . But man qi avoided the spear by turning around. But the sharp blade of the tip of spear got his left side of cheek and a small slice appeared .

Line of bloods began bleeding but man qi didn't care about it and threw a left kick toward yang shi's lower abdomen.

But yang shi gave a mocking grin before leaping back . He was still levitating in the air but suddenly he saw man qi using his right foot as some kind of nitro booster.

Man qi gathered his qi around his right foot just like midore from my hero academia when he uses one for all to boost his speed.

Man qi used every bit of force to push his body with the help of his spiritual qi .

"Boom" like a rocket , he leaped in the air and within a second he was already in front of yang shi.

"Baam" the fist that he was clenching from the beginning was charged toward yang shi's chest without showing any mercy .

"Shit !! " without wasting time , yang shi stretched his left hand and used all his strength to block man qi's fist .

Both were at the same realm , 5th grade upper stage martial artist realm so their clash between palm and fist created a huge wind gales . It made both of their clothes and hairs flutter back .

Both of them were glaring at each others eyes and weren't ready to back off at anytime . But the force from previous impact made them fly back .

Yang shi touched the ground and flipped back for few time before stabilising his balance perfectly. While man qi leaped back for few time before getting on the ground normally .

Both of them glared each others like a nemeses .

"Amazing , this kids are already at this level , truly a genius " praised sect master .

" wow !! Seniors are so strong , I wonder when will I be able to reach that level ?" One disciple was jealous of their clash .

On the stage

He slowly slide his right leg back , his right arm that was holding his spear was also slowly pulled back and his left leg and arm was in front . He crotch down his body a little and his palm was in half namaste position like buddha.

They would be fearless , this technique was only a low rank martial technique with inferior grade and also non combat neither defensive technique , which made all the disciple not to even glance for second time. But man qi learned this art despite knowing that this can not give him battle prowess or defense type martial art technique .

They both leaped and made a few meter away distance from each others. Both had their eyes at each others , both were feeling threat from each others. Can't be underestimated.

Yang shi smiled while watching man qi and thought ' you are always like this , an unyielding soul. No matter how much you are pushed , you would always crawl out and stand firm than before. I have always chased your shadow , but enough today I will show you that I am not your shadow but someone that could stand by your side , shoulder to shoulder like a brother in arms .

Watching his smile , man qi was provoked . He thought yang shi was mocking him. Yang shi cried out loud using all his power in him.

He cried "ENOUGH OF THIS , LET'S FINISH THE GAME , TODAY I WILL SHOW YOU MY WROTH, I AM SOMEONE THAT WOULD NOT REMAIN SOMEONE'S SHADOW FOREVER " at that time he , yang shi could remember his childhood when he first time met with man qi.

That time man qi was fighting with the kids from qi family. That time man qi was only an ordinary mortal yet he was fighting against kids that had already reached 1st grade upper stage martial artist realm cultivator .

"HAA !!!! " a huge thunderous qi started to circle yang shi around and began to take a form of a half body of humanoid figure . The humanoid figure was holding a long spear on his right hand , it had a war helmet on his head , war armour and had long hair falling. It was made of azure colour spiritual qi .

Yang shi cried with all his battle intent " 10 FORMS OF SPEAR , SECOND FORM ,SPEAR INTENT " he rose his spear up , his spear intent did the same . The space began to feel threaten and winds began to violently shake. Everything began to spin in spiral around the stage.

"Good heaven , this kid has actually mastered even the second form of 10 forms of spear that was kept in the library for decades. This technique was very mysterious and didn't had any grade or rank . No one could judge this technique, never ever in my dream could I have dreamt about having this much power just in second form . What kind of technique is this ? " sect master was surprised by knowing that the technique that was kept in library for decades had this much of powers.

While wang qi had already won his 3 matches so he was watching the battle between man qi and yang shi . He had countless scars on his body , some scars were at least from 8-9 years before , some were from 6-7 years before . Some wee fresh . His manly chest had also scars . In fact his whole body was covered by scars . His face skin even started to burn from the surging heat coming out from his battle intent .

His face skin began burning and showing his real face. His real face had scars too. Around his eyes , around his lips , even on his nose , ears , his face was also covered by scars .

"ROAR" he kept on roaring.

"I WON'T LET ANYONE SUPPRESS ME !! I HAVE BEING LOOKED DOWN BY OTHERS . ROAR !! I AM MASTER OF OWN FATE . AND YOU DARE TO SUPPRESS ME , YOU HAVE CHALLENGED MY DIGNITY. DIGNITY OF A TRUE DRAGON "

His whole spiritual qi began to take a shape of long and huge western dragon . It had 30 meter long body , ferocious and brutal looks , reindeer horns , covered in azure dragon scales .

"Roar" this was his battle intent , the true dragon . Battle intent takes shape of a person's heart , if their heart are weak as an ant , they will take shape of an ant. If they are fearless as a dragon it would take shape of a dragon. Battle intent shows whether your are a dragon or an ant .

It proofs that , man qi is a true dragon of this generation.
