《Reincarnator’s Road to World Domination》Explosive Experimentation

The bright sky, and calm winds, is the perfect morning. I walked through the hallway, skipping my way from a bountiful breakfast. The lesson with Timothy is to start today, and based on our last conversation. I would think this one's going to be exciting. I continue skipping, weaving myself through the servants and their greetings.
I reach the door and try to open it. As I do, it opens by itself to show Timothy wearing something odd. I ask him, "What's that?" I point at what I could discern to be a backpack. He grins at me excitedly and removes it from his back. Gesturing at it dramatically, he replied, "Well, this is my new invention, the magic bag."
I look at him like he's an idiot. He looked back in trepidation and spoke hesitantly, "I-Is the name that bad?" I cleared my expression and awkwardly replied, "Eh...It's good enough." He smiles brightly and beckons two men with us, to which I have only noticed now bringing what seems to be a box, "They'll be bringing some of the things you requested." He walks forward, wearing the magic bag over his back. "Where are we going?" I ask as I follow him.
"Your backyard, of course. I don't think your mother would enjoy scorch marks on her lawn." He points out as he walks, his head turning as if looking for someone. I shook my head and asked him a question that's been bugging me. "What's your job again?" He looked at me and replied proudly, "I would be a headmaster, Headmaster of the Caehal branch of Signus." I look at him weirdly. "Signus?"
He looks at me, shocked, "You don't know Signus? My goodness, what have they been teaching you?" Weirded out by his reaction, I ask. "What even is Signus?" He stops and looks at the men gesturing them forward. He looks at me, oozing with authority, and replies as if in class. "Signus is the official religion of the Orbritus Kingdom. It's a religion started by Siegfried the Magnificent. It revolves around the thought that the only way to achieve happiness is to complete mastery of oneself and becoming the best version of you."

I look at him in wonder. He seems to hold so much pride over it, "Then, how come I've never heard of it?" He stops talking and rubs his head sheepishly, "Since temples are built to help commoners in achieving success. and nobles tend not to want to consort with a commoner, noble families tend to move away from Signus, and since some houses have been around longer than this religion, they tend to think it would be beneath them." He answers dejectedly.
He continues to walk forward, and I follow him. "Then what do nobles follow?" He replies, waving his hand dismissively, "It's just some old religion during the Orvitan Era, believing in the Afterlife and complete mastery of magic. Orvic." "I see. Then does mother believe Orvic?" We reach our destination, the two men already removing the boxes, revealing a pair of military boots in one hand and a motorbike in the other. "Maybe, It never really came up. Anyways wanna start what we talked about?" He gestures towards the equipment.
I nod excitedly and reach for the boots. As I do, he holds my hands and speaks scared. "Be careful with this, ok? I can't ask your mother for this much funding again." I nod at him, understanding. Mommy can be scary sometimes. "How about you watch me first?" I pout, and he laughs. "That's the spirit."
He rode the equipment similar to a motorbike and proceeded to carry me up to the front. He spoke to me in excitement. "Are you ready to make history? I'm going to do the magic you told me, so be ready." He closes his eyes in concentration, and I hug his body for safety as an explosion rocks the ground, flinging the bike with us riding it. The power was enough to lift us a few feet off the ground.

But as the bike was about to fall, another powerful explosion rang out and flung us higher. He kept repeating the process until we reached the height above the mansion. "Well, your magic worked, but it seems too hard to control." I hear his words, but I tune it off as, once again, the sights remain breathtaking. The feeling of joy overwhelming me as the beauty of magic fills me in. laughter escapes my lips.
He shakes me up, waking me from my joy. "Hey! don't just laugh off on me." I absentmindedly nod as I continue to take in the sight with pleasure. I wake from such thoughts as the views seemingly lower. I notice Timothy using a controlled explosion as we lower to the ground.
"So are you awake now? You went insane back there, huh?" I nod apologetic, "Well, it doesn't matter anyway, I did what you said, but it is highly inefficient. You need to make a controlled explosion of air even to lift continuously. And the amount of air I'm going to need to blast it with is tremendous. You can even feel the heat from the air caellum." He points at his back as I can feel the heat radiate from his back.
He removed the bag from his back and started wearing gloves. He opens the back and changes the long cylinder of air caellum. "So, are you gonna try the boots?" He points at the boot with thick and holed soles. I nod my head as I think back to what he said. The air did act as a cylinder during the explosion, therefore, taking a more significant toll. So if I remove the cylindrical air, can I have a metal do it for me? Then I can have air move through it and add heat inside the soles. I was allowed to uplift.
I explain my thoughts to Timothy, and he nods. "Well, that is feasible, but I think we're going to need a thicker boot since the heat you'll be adding could affect you."

Flashback: Siren Song
The year is 1969. Yancy Lazarus—bluesman, gambler, future world-class mage and fix-it man—is just a dumb, unlucky kid serving with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines in Vietnam. With just a few weeks left to go until Yancy gets shipped back to the States, he’s just trying to keep his head down and avoid a body bag—no mean feat in Nam. But when his squad is tasked with conducting a routine patrol deep in enemy territory, everything goes to nine kinds of hell, and he quickly sees his chances at survival slipping away. When the radio operators start to pick up some funky, dirty ol’ blues all the way out in the backcountry, it’s a nice change of pace. At least until the men in Yancy’s squad start losing their minds, turning on each other with murderous intent as the music works its deadly power within them. Convinced it’s some kind of new psychological warfare initiative, the squad leader forces the men to push deeper and deeper into the Vietnamese jungle, obsessed with locating the music’s source. What they find, however, isn’t some new technology, but an ancient spirit awoken by the terrible war. Even worse, the music is changing Yancy too, awakening something buried inside of him. Only one thing is certain, nothing is ever going to be the same.See how it all began … *** PRAISE FOR SIREN SONG:Hunter's writing is as low-down, gritty, and insidious as the blues Yancy Lazarus loves. Just like the mysterious music drifting through the jungle toward Yancy's squad, Siren Song will get under your skin and sink its hooks into your mind. —eden Hudson, Author of Halo Bound (the Redneck Apocalypse series) *** Hey everyone, this is James Hunter.
