《Reincarnator’s Road to World Domination》Hard way

I hear the busy street of Caehal, the laughter of children as they run, the merchant broadcasting their wares, and the people gossiping about their peaceful lives. The sudden downpour is seemingly ignored by the residents as they continue their lives.
Times like this give me peace of mind. I at least have done right in managing my family's city. And because of that bastard, the caedebrad influence is weaker than ever. And now giving me even more headaches are the little pests that think they smell weakness. Well...I'm sure they'll understand their place once I lit fire up their asses. Thinking they could work against my family and me fills me with adrenaline, as the thought makes me think of ways to make their end excruciatingly long.
"Your Highness, we're close to your destination." The coachman calls out to me. The arduous task of managing a city does involve various dark elements. But we tend to overlook it if they remained out of my sight or had the decency to not disturb public order. Sadly, they started to make noise, and as the noble of this city, I shall mettle out their punishment, as painfully as they make me.
I get out of the carriage. I check my clothing? check, sword? check, four bracelets? check, everything seems to be in order. I continue to walk, signalling the men to follow me. They've been hiding for a while now. As I do, I note the absence of stalls and residences. I see. They've been calling this their territory. They're gonna need a wake-up call.
We stopped at what seemed to be an abandoned inn. I kick open the door and notice men of questionable clothing and some which I would determine to be adventurers. As I look around, I capture their attention, and recognition comes across their face. They scramble away as they hurriedly try to leave. I stand in front of the door as the soldiers guard the wall.

"They're just guards. We can blast our way out." A man screams as his finger lights up in orange light. He's taken down easily, blasted by soldiers accompanying me.
"Take all of them into the dungeon. We shall question them of their participation." I ordered as I inspected the inn. I kick the floor, checking for hidden passages. As I do feel a crack, and I open the passage. I immediately jump in as I determine a hallway of considerable size.
"Your Highness, are you alright?" A soldier screams from the passage.
"I am alright; send for men to inspect this passageway," I order him as I gesture around me. He nodded and proceeded to scream for backup. I walk forward confidently. As I reach an ornate door, I unsheath my sword. I kicked the door open and proceeded to blast it with a gust of air, stunning the men inside.
They remain disoriented, And I immediately send spears at their legs and arms, incapacitating them. As I do, the door closes, and a clicking sound occurs around me as the wall reveals a dozen men—one which looks well-dressed claps and speaks condescendingly.
"Hahaha, the great Annabelle stupidly walked in a tr." I interrupted him with a gust of wind, knocking them all off-balance, and I snapped my finger, covering the other men in the fire. They ran like headless chickens, the thought of which makes me chuckle, but as they do, I cover the floor in ice and bend earthen spikes to those trying to cast magic. I notice their bracelets with power similar to mine.
I walk towards the downed man, the well-dressed one, grabbing him by the collar and lifting him up. I shake him a bit to wake him from his stupor, and he looks at me in fear. I hear the banging of the door, "Your Highness, Are you alright." A soldier screams from the outside as he breaks the door. "I'm fine ill just need to talk to this gentleman." I smile maliciously as the pained groan of men echoes through the room. "Oh, and be a dear and order some men to take these imbeciles into custody." I hear him shouting orders, allowing a dozen soldiers to file in. I keep the man in my hand, smashing him into the ice as he whimpers.

"Who gave you the guts to go against me?" I smash him to the ground once again. hoping for an answer. "W-What? I-I don't know what you're talking a-about," he coughs in pain. I burn his right arm, he screams in anguish, the smell of burnt flesh enters my senses as I repeat my question.
"Who paid you?" He looks me in the eye, confident. "I won't tell you," he smirks. I feel boiling anger coursing through me and sigh. Nothing is ever that easy, huh. I ordered a soldier. "Pull him up, tie him in that chair" I point to what seems to be his desk. He struggles, and as he is tied down, cloth over his mouth, I summon water and proceed to heal him. He looks at me bewildered. I took the knife from his table and looked at him seriously.
"I will give you one last time. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. It's your choice." I look at him, hoping for agreement, this part is always unpleasant, He spits at me, with a defiant grin. And I sigh, I stab his eye, letting him scream. "Look, I'll be taking everything from you, your legs, your arms, and eyes, leaving you a husk of a man." I press the knife on his legs and arms. trying to scare the living hell out of him. I let a few moments pass and.
I spoke to him in a sweet voice "Is keeping them secret really worth it? After all, by the end of this, you'll just be another dead minion." He looks at me in anguish, and I smile again. "And you don't want that do you, you have ambition, aspirations, you're more than these rabble right?" I gesture around accentuating his current condition. He looks at me in contemplation.
"If you tell me who they are, you'll serve your time then live the rest of your life." I smile sweetly, as I put down the knife. "don't worry they won't go after you, they'll probably forget you even exist." I raise my arms. He nods, I gesture towards him as a guard took off the cloth over his mouth. and he said, "I want money to start a life after I serve my sentence." I nod at him.
"That can be arranged, So are you ready to talk?"

During the negotiations to take Earth in as a Protected Member-Planet for the glory of our AI overlords, the aliens ‘accidentally’ break the Veil that keeps the mythics protected from humanity’s knowledge, revealing the creatures of legend and myth that were hiding among us for millennia — from the doorman to global leaders. After a series of mishaps in his ever chaotic Brazil, our intrepid hero decides to join the Unity's Army, where he ends up as a inglorious… quartermaster. The Unity takes all recruits to make matters worse, including the mythics! And the cherry on the damn pie is Rafael Barro’s extra assignment: writing this historical first-hand report on the wonders of Earth’s diversity, the seamless adaptation of all its members, and on his gallant units’ first stellar expedition ever to defend another precious*³ world! Are we talking about the same planet? (Reader discretion is advised; Contains Graphic Language and Potentially Excessive Swearing) *¹ Carioca = demonym of someone from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. *² humble and/or hardworking Cariocas = not necessarily mythics, ordinary ones actually exist. *³ precious = inasmuch every living planet is precious. Editor's Note: Someone disable his permission to edit the draft on UnityDocs, please! Hello, I'm McKing and I aim to write an original story with elements I've never seen put together before. Feel free to point out any mistakes you see — I'm not a native speaker, so I'm sure a few will pass me by. Sci-fi; Humor; (Brazilian) Urban Fantasy; faint shades of LitRPG. **Be warned it has a bit of an (absurd) slice-of-life beginning though the story is being subtly (I hope) worked on and eventually shifts gears (a bit). I planned to say that from the beginning, but I forgot to add it.** I hope that you enjoy it and that I can grow as a writer with your contributions. No Fixed Update Schedule. My inspiration comes in bursts and so will the Chapters. Sorry if that displeases you (I love regular updates too), but I'm afraid that's the best I can do for now. Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and things can eventually change a bit - I'll try to always note the changes. Sorry for the bad cover, it was the best my sorry skills could do! I hope you enjoy it,Mcking
