《Reincarnator’s Road to World Domination》Magic

The smell of metal enters my senses as I help Timothy carry equipment that can fit my size. We exit the building to a clearing. One that wasn't well maintained. As we walk he spoke, "You're just nine years old, right?" I nod at him.

"You seem pretty smart for a nine-year-old." Timothy looks back at me as he carries Caellum. "Well, maybe that's the Sieg blood in you." He shrugs as he looks forward. We stop at the middle of a clearing, and he beckons me to set down the equipment as he readies the clearing.

"Should I hide?" I grab the edge of his clothing., "Yeah, I think you should. You should go back to the building." As he replies, he points back towards the building. I hurriedly walked my way there. And I stood behind the door, watching intently.

Timothy looked back at me, checking my condition. Once he made sure I made it behind the door, he connected the different colors. It resulted in metal the size of a bike. It was filled with four colors of white, brown, orange, and blue.

Each color signifying an element, he holds his hand over it, and a bright light erupts.

Powerful winds flare above the city, thunder echoes, and raindrops from the sky, a minute continued like this. As I held my breath, the storm clears, gone as if it was never there.

Timothy looked back at me with a thumbs up, only to jolt as the sounds of burning flesh wakes us both from excitement. The multi-colored caellum now turned red hot as the grass burns to black.

"OUCH." He whips up his other hand, healing his burnt left hand with blue light. I run towards him through the muddy field, excited to see the result of such powerful magic. As I get closer, heat radiates at me, coming from the metal. Timothy walks at me with a grin. He spoke, "So, Kid, it looks like it WORKED!" He lowered himself to my level and exclaimed, "We are going to do so much experimenting." He laughed maniacally and I with him.

A few seconds pass, and I asked for details, "So what did you do?". Timothy stops his laughter and looks at me with a smirk. "I gathered air and water up above the city, intensified the heat to intense levels, well... after that, you could see the results."

"A storm that powerful, with magic." I look above in awe at the clear sky, looking for any sign of a torrential storm—all of that, a result of magic from Caellum of this size. I wonder how big it could get.

"Can you make it bigger?" I wonder. Timothy laughs, "well, that's the biggest one we have. Caellum cant be bought easily, though we can always ask through your mother." He winked at me, I smile. Well, the experiment does help in self-defense, so that the funding might be worthwhile. I nod at him in affirmation, and he claps in delight.

He hugs me, then carries me as he gestures around the courtyard, "The experiments are going to be phenomenal, and with you by my side, we're going to achieve greatness." I nod as he walks back to the building carrying me in his arms, spoke, "So, what's the plan? I mean, can we compact it to a smaller size for long-distance travel?" I asked excitedly. The mobility might be excellent if only I can sit on it.

"There are smaller pieces of Caellum, about the size of a purse, but I don't think the metal can support anything like long-distance travel." He answers as he skips puddles. "But why?" I ask curiously, "well, a caellum the size of a bracelet takes an hour to cool down fully, that caellum we just used would probably take a day and a half."

I remain silent. The time it takes to cool down is ridiculous. Cant we just cool it down then?

"Can we cool it down?" Timothy looks at me bewildered, "cool it down? How?" I look back at him like he's an idiot, "Water?"

"Water?" Timothy mirrors back my word as if realizing an unforeseen fact.

"WATER!" He exclaims in excitement as he runs back towards the building. I wonder how such a fact missed him.

As we go back to his room, he organizes his papers and proceeds to write in his notes.

"Hahaha, kid, I should start calling you master." He shouts as he writes.

I sat in my chair for a few minutes as he continued scribbling. As he stops, he grins at me, "it is done. It's going to be a new prototype." He shows his sketch to me. I notice a box with a hole on top. The package contains four slots, to what I assume are for the elements.

"So, what am I looking at?" I gesture at the picture. "You're looking at the future." He flourishes his hand dramatically.

.....

He lowers his head, disappointed. He coughs as if to dispel the air.

"The box contains a hole the upper right for steam, and as you can see caellum of a significant size can be connected and inserted for changing overheated ones," He shows a box filled with holes.

"The box will then be filled with water to cool down it to an operable level, while the mage will wear a thin necklace to achieve the required skin contact for the magic to operate." He monologues

"Won't the box overheat?" I point out. He slumps in thought. "Then we just have to find a material that won't!" He replies optimistically. I ask him another question, "but how long can it be used?"

"Depends. I think you can continuously move for about 4 hours." He answers, unsure. "We'll probably have to test it."

"So, are we going to experiment? during study time?" I ask excitedly. Well, studying is good and all but, that amount of magic sounds fantastic.

"Well, maybe a bit of both. We can call it a practical experience." He smirks at me, and I smirk back.

"This is going to be fun." We both say at the same time.
