《Reincarnator’s Road to World Domination》Prayer Study

The sound of a busy afternoon joins the beautiful smell of pastry, the way from the mansion was filled with children's laughter and buzzing gossip. The ride continues as we pass the city center. Mother and I left the mansion this morning. Clothes casually to what I thought to be an afternoon walk.
"Mama, where are we going?" I ask as I look out the carriage window.
"We're going to the temple, sweetie." Mother replies as she points at a building. Something akin to a university. I can see the numerous rooms, the terrifying guards, and the teenagers going in and out.
"Umh, why are there so many people," I ask, pointing to the teenagers.
"Well, that's where they're taught."
"Taught what? mama." I ask, curious. After all, isn't that a temple?
"Whatever they want, sweetie." So similar to a school then.
"Will I also go to the temple?"
"I don't think you need to, sweetie. Mommy can have someone come to teach you everything you need to know." Mother replies smugly.
"But then, why are we going there?"
"We'll be meeting someone." Mother smiles mysteriously. I nod my head at her.
We walk down the carriage. Mother holds my hand as we walk towards the door, filled with students going in and out.
We pass a few classrooms and offices as we reach a courtyard. The sounds of battle reach my ears as I look towards the yard. It was overflowing with magic, men and women fighting in leather armor, bracelets shining. I look towards mother, excited.
"Can I do that too?" I ask her excitedly. She giggles.
"Of course, sweetie, but only when you get older." She raises her finger, making a point. We pass by the courtyard as we exit a building. To be greeted by forges, filled with the sound of steel and smell of ash. We went past them. As we reach a building, we went inside and continued to walk until we get to a room undecorated with only a sign showing "Headmaster" Mother knocks.

A man with electrifying blue eyes and shining bright hair peaks out. "Yes?" He looks around to stop at my mother. He opens the door fully and excitedly speaks to mother. "Anna, it's good to see you." I look at him closely. He looks the same age as my mother, with a lean build.
"It's also good to see you, Timothy." Mother smiles softly. As she does, she pushes me forward. "This is my son, Charles." I try and bow my head as he stops me. "No need for that Charles, haha, formal at this age, he definitely got it from Arin." He boisterously laughs as he holds my shoulder and lowers himself to my level. And spoke, "Definitely got your eyes, though." Mother smiles at that as she scoops me into her arms. "Well, let's get inside then. This isn't a good place for discussion." He opens the door widely, and mother and I went inside.
I was in awe as we enter the room. The room was filled with so much metal. Different colors adorn each of them. And the feeling of heat emanating from it almost overwhelms me. But as I watched, dumbfounded. Mother talked, "It seems your experiments are doing well." Timothy looked back at her and replied, "Not really, there's still a few missing pieces, the metal becomes so hot it becomes unusable, And the."
Mother interrupts him with a cough. "I don't need an explanation, Timothy." He sheepishly stops and sits, as he sat on a desk and chair, in the middle of what seemed chaotic paperwork. "So what can I help my patron with?" He asks seriously.
"I'm going to need you as my son's tutor." Mother replies as she puts me in her lap. Timothy stops and looks at her. "I don't think I have the time for that and haven't you been teaching him already?" He replied, questioning, as he points at the ring in my hand.

"I have, but responsibilities towards the city have increased, and you're the only man I can trust for this." She replies, seemingly tired.
"But still, Ann, I can't just leave all this behind." Timothy gestures towards his experiments.
"You don't need to. Teaching him Wednesday and Sunday is more than enough, and Faye can take care of the rest." Mother hurriedly replies, pleading.
"Faye? She was with you?" Timothy replies in shock.
"Oh, she is. She lives with me, you know." Mother giggles. As Timothy blushes, "But if you don't want to, I could just find someone." Timothy interrupts mother, "I'll do it. When do I start?"Next Wednesday"
Timothy nods as mother stands up. "So it seems we're done here. I'll be leaving Charles here for a while."
Mothe looks at me and speaks. "Baby, mommy has something she has to do, so wait here with mommy,s friend Timothy." I nod at her as she smiles. "Yes, mama." As she leaves, I wave goodbye as I look back towards Timothy.
Timothy looked at me awkwardly and spoke.
"So, uh, what do you want to do?" He gestures to what seems to be a small shelf. "I wanna ask about that." I gesture towards his experiments. "Oh, what do you know about it?"
I shrug my shoulder. "I don't know anything." He smiles. "Then let me enlighten you." As he drags me toward his experiments. "This is the great Caellum combination, the only one to have this technology was the Orvitans." He points at the different colors. "See those colors. Two of them represent water and earth, with Caellum like this mages can use both with one ring." I nodded at him and replied. "But it's so small, and won't that just put more strain in the metal."
Timothy's smile freezes as he replies, depressed. "I'm still at the early stages of experimentation, so this is still a prototype."
"Even still, won't the heat just render it invalidated since heat will gather from the same metal? After all, there's only so much you can wear." I ask curiously as an idea comes to mind. "Unless you make it to be bigger." An enormous metal, with different elements, then a more prominent capacity in magic. And I look at Timothy with an excited grin. I grin back. This is going to be awesome

My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O. Tenkey here; thank you for your interest in "Not A Manga"! This was my first serial novel, and I hope you enjoy Xavier's predicament! Familiarity with manga not required (though it can't hurt)! I look forward to exploring the bounds of the Genre with you. (First volume is rated PG-13 for comic mayhem and light profanity—these are high school students, after all. Second volume is rated PG-13 to R for some violence and similar levels of profanity. Tags may or may not contain spoilers.)
