《Reincarnator’s Road to World Domination》Magical Mischief

The bright afternoon sun shines upon me. The cool breeze blows through my hair. And as I stand, I am filled with excitement. The feeling of fullness from lunch is gone. The wait is over.
"Sweetie, it's time." Mother calls out to me, holding the four coloured rings. Faye came up beside me and proceeded to wear the bracelets on my ankle. As she does, mother helps me wear two on my wrist. I stand straighter, trying to get a feel of the bracelets.
"Now, sweetie, breath deeply, concentrate and try to do the same thing you did before." Mother looks at me, beaming.
"And rest assure, milord, we are ready to act on any accidents." Faye point to both their wrist. I nod at both of them.
I close my eyes and breath deeply, hoping to feel the same connection I did before.
I feel a pull, or four pulls, to be exact. I push my hand forward, commanding a breeze, and I felt it blow past me, disorganising my hair. I try to summon a fireball by clenching my fist—the radiating heat washing over me and as I command the earth to rise with an upward flourish. I can feel myself lifting. And I try to drag the water from my surroundings by pulling, and I feel moisture splash at me.
I open my eyes and beams at my mother.
"Mama, Did you see?" I speak as I jump excitedly.
"That's great, sweetie." Mother beams at me.
I look at her. I am excited to combine elements with her permission.
I summoned water, dragging it from my surroundings and threw a fireball. As expected, it exploded into a mist. It obstructed my vision. As it does, I wonder if I could add earth into the mix. I try to imagine dust rising, the connection pulling as dust gathers around me. I draw on the mist. I close my eyes, attempting to visualise it, both mixing as I open my eyes to a still sandstorm.

Excitement wells up inside me. I stop the sandy mist flourishing my hand down. It slowly lowers into the ground. And a new idea forms in me. I concentrate fire at my feet. As the heat intensifies, I isolate it in a cylinder of air. It propelled me upwards to a height of 8ft. But as I float upon the air, a haze fills me, Adrenaline pumping through my veins. I blast off with another and another as I reach above the height of the mansion. I floated up, pushed by a constant force of the air.
I stop. Looking down from this height, I see the city and the mansion. The people of the city going through their day unaware of a boy looking at them. The servants of an estate that follows my every beck and call. They look up to me, and I grin. The feeling of magic feeling me in as I close my eyes, etching this feeling within my soul. This is the life, and I'll enjoy this to the fullest.
I awake from what seemed like a blissful sleep. By searing pain, I look down my left hand see what used to be white turned red. I panic, trying to remove the ring. But as I do, I lose control of my magic and plummet as the realisation sets in. Dread overflows within me as I try and struggle to maintain a height. As I get closer to the ground, I close my eyes.
Arms wrap around me, a comforting voice murmurs at my head.
"Don't worry, sweetie, Mommy's here." I sob, a bit ashamed of what I did, and relieved as her comforting warmth wraps around me as a few moment pass, with us staying like this.
"Milord, Please show me your hand," Faye speaks at our side, and I hold out my hand to her. She removes the ring. And heals my hand, covering it with a sphere of water.

"Water can heal?" I asked, amazed. Faye looks at me weird. While mother uncharacteristically cackles.
"Haha, see Faye? My baby's first thought was magic, even after that. If that isn't a Caedebrad, I don't know what is." Mother looks at me excited, hid my face in her shoulder, a bit embarrassed.
"Yes, yes, just like you, I'm assuming?" Faye nods patronisingly.
"Now, Faye, no need to be jealous. You'll get your chance." Mother replies smugly.
After Faye finishes her work on my hand, my mother puts me down on a bench.
"What did you learn today?" Mother asks me sternly. I sheepishly rub my head and replied.
"Don't overdo it?" I asked hesitantly
"No, not really. The best way to avoid this was to build awareness of it." Mother holds unto the bracelet.
"Awareness would come with training, which I assure milord you will not lack," Faye responds as she removes the red bracelet.
"And since this is my baby's first time, make sure you make the most of it." Mother grins at me as she dresses me with another bracelet.
I hug her and proceeded to ran to my previous spot. I feel excited about the experimenting I'm about to do.
"Are you sure this is ok, milady? he just had a near-death experience." Faye looks at Charles, worried.
"It's fine. You saw him as well, didn't you? He seemed so excited." Ann replies before drinking.
"And besides, didn't you see that new magic?" Ann looks at Faye, excited.
"New magic? I thought it was merely my lack of knowledge." Faye looks at Ann questioningly.
"No, it's definitely a new magic." Ann puts down her tea.
"I've seen explosions like that combined with the earth, not air." Ann waves her hand as small rocks emit a popping sound.
"Then will it be safe? Milady, if it is as you say, then wouldn't it be best to have it checked first?"
"Then that'll be coddling him, I want him to make his mistakes, Faye, and besides, you can heal him just fine." Faye waves her hands dismissively as she puts down her cup.
"I would've thought you'll be more worried about this," Faye responds as she fills her cup with tea.
"I am. This is just the fastest way I can ensure his safety," Ann responds with finality.
"I understand, milady." Faye bowed her head and proceeded to walk towards Charles to ensure his safety.
"Magic is the only way I can make sure hell be powerful enough to get by, even without me," Faye whispers with sadness.

The Anthology
This is my collection of short stories. I ask what stories would my audience like to read and write whatever they post in the comments. I strive for more than two dimensional characters and I like to make my stories somewhat unique. The first six entries are my experiment to just write without stopping and see what comes out. They can serve as an introduction for the reader to me as a thinker and writer. Although it should be known that the majority of those entries were written in a foggy state of mind. Entry seven is where my short stories begin.
