《The Intelligent Ogre (Dropped for remake)》Chapter 3 - 'Body Control, passive,' , the Birth, 'Family', and Info About Baby Ogres

Jake slowly woke up feeling refreshed. The moment Jake woke up he looked at the remaining time he had left for the HCTS, he was left with just over a day and a half.
He decided it was better if he tried to complete the skill ‘body control, passive’ first level because he had some time left before he left the HCTS. Who know what will happen when is born, he might need to control his body to escape? Though Jake doubted that because that ‘voice’ told him he would be born in a ‘safe’ and ‘kind’ family, but you never know what ‘kind’ means for ogres, after all ogres are monsters.
While as Jake thought about ‘body control, passive’ skill, the white screen appeared again and it automatically went to the skill section, then passive skills section (skills are divided into passive and active), and a single line remained ‘body control, passive level 1).
Jake then decided to learn it, and the previous feeling of being able to understand everything appeared again and was sucked into the grey space once more.
This time there were words explaining how to control the body, and once he comprehended everything the words disappeared, and a training course was made. Jake went to the training course remembered the words that explained how to get the passive skill. First was a running field on a non-even ground, then dodging practice, then etc. Then after he completed that there was an upper-body training course with throwing objects, punching accurately, etc. Then after he completed that there was a course for hand, feet, and neck control. Finally, after Jake finished those everything disappeared, and he was sent back to the white space.
Jake lost the status effects and went back to ‘normal’. Jake could not help but move his body around. Jake felt as if he was better at controlling this body than his old body at his peak, since he just studied and didn’t even exercise.
Jake checked his skills section and sure enough there was a new skill on the passive section ‘body control’, though it was a pity while training skills and knowledge no attributes would be gained.
Jake started moving around not believing he could control his body this well for an hour or so before he felt his body and mind felt like it was being sucked back, and he panicked before quickly calming down he forgot about the time.
Right when Jake was sucked back, he felt like he was being pushed, pulled, and shoved all over. Jake had no idea how long it lasted, but soon he felt his feet being grabbed, and was pulled out very quickly. He felt his belly hurt for a moment before he felt he could breathe on his own.
The first words Jake heard were in poor universal ogre language “Skinny, looks like stick.”
Jake slowly opened his eyes and got the scare of his life, huge eyes were looking at his, he could almost swear that that ‘things’ eyes were as big as him. He tried looking around, but all he saw was the huge hand that held him. Though, that did not last long as the ‘thing’ put him down and he could see what the ‘thing’ was. It was a huge ogre with red cloth over its head down to its waist. The ogre looked slightly tannish-red and there was another ogre near it. Though that ogre was tan and was smaller close to half the size of the other and looked exhausted it looked like it was starting to put on its clothes, wearing a blue silk cloth but without a hood covering its face. The smaller ogre looked more like a ‘female’ to Jake, and he kept looking around seeing if there was anyone else, but it seemed there was only two ogres.

It didn’t take Jake much detective skills to know that they were his new ‘family’ and were most likely his father and mother.
While Jake was thinking how he was going to live with this new family he heard the big ogre say, “Your name, thin stick!” then the ogre brought some water and gave it to ‘his mother’ then left.
While he was thinking of what was happening ‘his mother’ came and grabbed him and said, “Need food, thin stick name will be thin stick.” While she started moving towards the back of the cave. While thinking how horrible their naming sense was, was that really going to be his name in this life?
Then Jake got another scare. In the back of the cave there was a tiger in a ‘cage’, and it didn’t look like a normal tiger. Eyes bloody red, fangs and claws that looked as sharp as a saber. Though what gave him the biggest scare was that ‘his mother brought him straight towards the tiger!
While Jake was trying to struggle free to escape before he was fed to the tiger, ‘his mother’ grabbed rock surrounding the cage and put it aside, then grabbed at the tiger and restricted its movement with ease. Then she brought him right under its abdomen. Jake then he slowly understood what she most likely wanted to do. It seemed like ‘his mother’ was trying to feed him, and that the tiger was probably a mother got captured to feed him milk.
Jake then saw the mother tiger’s nipples and heard his mother say after a while, “Drink, grow, strong!” Though Jake was pretty sure no other ogre infant would understand, why was she even talking to an infant like him?
Jake still decided to drink before ‘his mother’ got angry and did something though she looked more patient than the other ogre, ‘his father’ who left right after he was born and didn’t bother coming back, though he was not going to take any chance with this ogre either. After all, ogres are still monsters with low intelligence (usually) unless both his parents were knowledge type ogres such as sorcerers/mages/shaman/etc.
The milk tasted a bit rough and a bit sour, and had to try his best to not throw up it back out. Though, he felt something refreshing when the milk entered his belly. It spread around his body and all the fatigue and pain he had was gone. He also started to feel like his body becoming more active.
He quickly asked the system in his mind, and it gave him information that some magical, demonic, and spiritual creatures contain some energy that is usually helpful to other monsters and creatures, and Jake of course was a monster and it seemed like the energy was helpful to him.
After Jake had his fill, ‘his mother’ picked him up and released the tiger back in the cage, which wanted to fight back but was thrown back into its ‘cage locked up’ which just felt like a few boulders put together with and she just put the rock back on top keeping the tiger at bay.
Finally, walked close to the entrance and ‘his mother’ put him down, on a boulder with a flat surface, she began to look at him. Jake just stared back, and it seemed that it wasn’t such a bright idea because it turned into a staring contest that last around 10 minutes. Jake was the first to break eye contract and started to look around.

Jake saw a drying rack holding some leather just outside the cave, a huge staff as big a tree leaning on the entrance (was one of his family members a knowledge type ogre?), and a few other boulders inside though he couldn’t see anything in the back because ‘his mother was blocking his way. Though, he remembered the tiger in the cage in the back and nothing else.
While he saw everything these was to see he thought to himself, ‘was he really going to just going to sit and do nothing all day’? Well, that sounded nice since he needed to contemplate his life wondering how he was going to live as an ogre, was his wife going to be an ogre? Just imagining it made him shiver, and he started to think of other negative things before he felt his mind calm down, and he started thinking about positive things such as magic.
Jake thought that since he was in a magical world magic shouldn’t be too hard to cast magic or something. Jake always read about novels after he was 35 years old, and usually he read about just needing to focus on gathering his ‘mana’ or something and think of a spell in his mind, like a fireball, before being able to cast it.
Jake tried imagining controlling some, ‘mana’ or some other ‘energy’ in his body and making a fireball but that failed. Jake knew it was probably pointless because he didn’t even know how ‘mana’ felt nor did he feel anything when he tried to feel around for energy.
Though even if he felt energy and could control it, he still didn’t know something bad would happen. What if he was controlling his vital energy (vital energy is usually found in a living beings’ body, and usually effects life span or health of the living being) and started burning it and aging quickly or dying horribly.
Jake felt like he could afford to wait a day, and then enter the HCTS and learn how to cast magic or something.
Jake then went back thinking about what ogres do in novels and games, and how he was going to live his life.
A while later after Jake finished thinking about how his new life would be like and decided to be more practical and use his time more effectively, he decided to ask the system if there was anything he needed to know. Some information was put into his mind, topics that seemed important, but the system only mentioned some ideas, it seemed that the information he asked for was too broad. Jake had to ask about each topic one by one.
Jake decided to ask about what an infant ogre should be doing. This was because ‘his mother’ was just staring at him, and it was making him scared.
Thankfully, the information he received was that the infant would do anything. Yes, anything. This was because infant ogres have a very bad mind and spirt attributes usually, so a parent usually a mother, must take of the baby all day and night. Many infant ogres kill themselves because they consider hitting their head on the ground to be fun. So ‘his mother’ that was staring at him was because she ‘cares’ a lot about him.
Jake decided to stand, and just like in the white space it was very easy especially with the ‘body control, passive’ at level 1.
When he stood up a massive hand grabbed him and made him sit. Obviously, ‘his mother’ was scared he would do something dumb, though it was very frustrating, he couldn’t do anything about it.
So, Jake went back to the system and started asking other questions, like how long his mother was going to keep him here. The answer he got was surprising, until he shows some basic thoughts/intelligence, not hitting his head on the ground for a week, or becoming strong (tough) enough that his head can break stone without getting hurt. Normal baby ogres stay in the cave for three months because their skull gets tough enough to break stone with barely a scratch. Though knowledge type ogres, show intelligence at an earlier speed, and can leave as early as a month.
The next topic Jake asked the system about was what the first month of an ogre’s life was. This topic was placed just below the last question he asked.
The information he learned made him panic. It seems like during the first three months of an ogre’s life, if it doesn’t feel gain the skill 'energy control, passive' to level 1 at least, it would be forever unable to feel energy in its life. It seems like 99% of all ogres would never feel energy in their life.
Jake was able to maintain his calmness about his new life because he thought he could wield magic or something, but if he can't, he might turn crazy! Though he calmed down (or forcefully calmed down by the mental stability, passive skill) a second latter, and thought about what forced him to calm down, maybe he won’t turn crazy, but he might become very bored.
Jake started to hear his stomach rumble again and thought, didn’t I just eat? He looked at his status and saw something that surprised him. His attributes all increased slightly thankfully. Then Jake looked again looking for how his attributes increased. Though all the attributes that were listed before were also gone it made him panic.
