《The Intelligent Ogre (Dropped for remake)》Chapter 6 - 'The Great Shaman', 'Body Control, passive' level 3

Jake felt lightheaded, though feeling extremely refreshed, it was as if he had slept for three days straight. While Jake was waking up, he heard some noise. Grunts and growls of three different people.
Jake then slowly remembered what happened and quickly tried to focus on what was happening.
He heard some voice speaking, “…Your child has truly awakened, his mind powerful beyond belief, though it is a pity the elements, none of the elements truly like him. Though do not fret, for he will be a great scholar, one which will lead the tribe to greater heights. Though it is confusing with his little body, his physical body is stronger than normal ogres with larger bodies, though not by much.”
Then Jake ‘his father’ Void Scar respectfully saying, “Train him or not, of the body?”
The other voice replied, “Train him of the body for three years, starting a month from now. His mind and soul will take a while to come together, for he is still an infant not a child.”
(Author’s note: Some lore/information you can skip if you don’t like to read this, I’ll post a small summary at the bottom)
(Summary – For a creature to be considered as a child both mind and soul needs to connect during which the creature will gain thought process and emotions. If this takes more than 10 years on average for the creature species, they will usually be considered as monsters. Jake already had his mind and soul connect while he was in the unborn state the great shaman didn’t check whether Jake’s mind and soul were connected.)
An infant does not actually have a ‘stable soul’ nor ‘mind’ because they are separate from each other, and the infants ‘soul and mind’ will try and connect both together, unconsciously, before ‘thought process’ and ‘emotions’ is born. So, an infant will usually not have much thought process and rather act on instincts.
When ‘thought process’ and ‘emotions’ are stable, the infant will be called a ‘child’ in the omniverse, even if the creature is hundreds of years old.
Smarter/intelligent type creatures will have their mind and soul connect faster than others and for normal ogres it would take a long time, but knowledge type ogres might take less than humans to become a child. Jake had his soul and mind connect while he was sleeping in the unborn state for a few weeks. When the great shaman checked Jake’s mind and soul, he didn’t check whether or not they were connected because no creature ‘at least what the shaman knows of’ would have their soul and mind connect in just a single day or so.)
Those creatures with more than an average of 10 years’ time needed for them to have their mind and soul connect (not counting knowledge type creatures), will usually rely on their bodies more, and most likely will act on instincts rather than intelligence. These creatures are usually (not always some expectations as always) called monsters even if they are knowledge type creatures.)

(Author’s note/lore end.)
Jake then heard both ‘his parents’ say, “Great shaman, great thanks!”
Jake at this point woke up completely and looked around before he saw ‘his parents’ and ‘great shaman.’
Then Jake saw ‘the great shaman’ leave. The shaman was even bigger than ‘his father’ and held a staff, with strange symbols, the size of a tree. He also wore a blue and green cloak which hid most of his body, though since he was an ogre there was most likely muscles under his clothes.
Though as Jake was looking the shaman looked back straight at him. His face looked even scarier than ‘his father’ and felt as though he could see though most things. Then he spoke straight at Jake, “Thin Stick, you might just be our hope against those damned dragons and ‘demons’ because of how smart you will become, so grow up fast little one!” Then the left with big strides with his staff while the ground shook under him.
‘His parents’ saw that he had woken up and ‘his mother’ Muddy Slide picked him up for his milk. Though while he was drinking, he heard ‘his father’ say, “Thin Stick needs meat to grow, I’ll hunt soon.”
Though it seemed ‘his mother’ disagreed “Too early, wait a week, Thin Stick needs bigger teeth.”
As Jake heard that he touched his teeth which were a bit smaller than his old teeth, and thought, how were these small?
After some small talk Void Scar decided to leave after saying, “Need to go back to summoning.”
After seeing ‘his father’ leave Jake decided to ask questions while he waited for nighttime to arrive.
Questions like how strong ‘his parents’ and ‘great shaman’ were answered it seemed ‘his mother’ was level 330 she also had reached ‘66 iron, 66 bronze, 66 silver, 40 gold, 10 boss, 3 world boss’ ranks during her leveling process.
‘His father’ was level 350 and had reached ‘70 iron, 70 bronze, 70 silver, 60 gold, 30 boss, 10 world boss’ ranks during his leveling process.
‘The great shaman’ was level 410 and had reached ‘82 iron, 82 bronze, 82 silver, 82 gold, 82 boss, and 82 world boss’ ranks during his leveling process, which felt strange to Jake, why didn’t ‘the great shaman’ or anyone else try and reach universe boss?
//Info dump incoming if you don’t want to read it, I’ll post its summary in the spoiler below. :)
World origin energy which decides the energy that can be contained in the world, gathered by the world from the universe, and is protected with by world protectors in exchange for ‘immortality’. Any creature that becomes a universe boss will take its world origin energy, which is harming the world causing it to send protectors to kill the creature for it to return the energy. Jake can’t become a universe boss in the Primal World needs to become one in the HCTS.

The answer he got was strange, which was that the world was watching and if a creature reached universe boss, the creature would devour ‘world origin energy’ from it, which would make the world want to take it back by mobilizing the world protectors to kill the creature.
Which made him ask what ‘world origin energy’ was, and what world protectors were.
World origin energy is an energy which is gathered by the world, which decides the strength/size of the world, and if it can ascend to higher planes. It also important for the creatures in the world for as the world has more world origin energy the more ‘energies’ it could contain.
The world can gather the energy faster by having sentient creatures living on it, but this is where the problem of reaching universe boss comes from. Reaching universe boss will cause the creature to go over the ‘level of the world’ and reach the ‘universe level’, which is a level above it, causing the creature to devour the closest ‘universal energy’ which is the world origin energy in this case.
So, the more sentient creatures there are the faster the world origin is gathered, but the more likely there would be world bosses appearing and eating it. This is where the ‘world protectors’ come in. They are beings that reached the peak of the universe (level 500) on the same world, and do not wish to ascend, that reach an agreement with the world’s will (the planets mind). Where they would be ‘immortal’ on the planet if the world is not destroyed. In exchange, they would protect it and kill creatures that reached the world boss level.
As soon as Jake heard that, he froze didn’t he have to reach the universe boss level before he could level up? Thankfully the system said there is a way to bypass it. Jake had to break through to the universe boss level in the HCTS.

Nighttime arrived after what felt like forever, though he didn’t spend his time in vain, Jake asked the system more basic questions while he was waiting for nighttime.
Jake then entered the HCTS and went straight back into the grey space, learning the theory for ‘body control, passive’ level 2. After a while Jake saw the theory disappear and some advanced machines appeared in its place.
Jake learned all he needed to use these machines during the theory section and started to train.
After a while the machines disappeared, and Jake re-entered the white space.
Jake then remembered what he learned, it seemed the limit for body control for a normal creature is 40%, then after is inner body control.
Inner body control is after the 40% where a creature learns how to control its skin, organs, bones, bone marrow (inside the bones usually creates blood), and even blood.
At 40% he could control his ‘muscles’ near perfectly, which was hard enough he didn’t know how long it would take for the other parts of his body. After all it got harder and harder so it might take him years real time to learn, which was too much, for he wanted to be a mage not a fighter!
After a while, Jake saw that he had a half a day left, it seemed he spent 7 and a half days learning ‘body control, passive’ for the 2nd level (he spent 1 day before and 6 and a half this time).
Jake then decided learn body control passive for the 3rd level for now rather than wasting a half a day doing nothing. After
As Jake had asked some questions, he felt tried looking outside he remembered he hadn’t slept before he entered the HCTS.
Since it was nighttime Jake decided to sleep.

Nothing interesting happed the next 5 days either so he just asked the system some basic questions about the world and the minor omniverse.
Other than learning some interesting things like ogres and dragons were long life rivals for some reason that even the system didn’t know, and some other things like plane wars, where planets would invade each other and compete for resources, which he learned that the ‘demons’ the great shaman was talking about, were invaders from another world.
Anyway, Jake was excited today, for today marks the day he would completely learn the third level of ‘body control, passive.’
As Jake saw nighttime arrive, he quickly entered the HCTS, and went to train. After a while the high-tech exercise devices disappeared, and Jake was sent back to the white space. Jake opened the system and saw the ‘body control, passive’ level 3 and couldn’t help smiling widely. It took him a while, but he finished it. He checked how much was left for this day which was two.
Now he could finally learn some fighting skills. Jake then checked what kinds of bare-handed fighting skills were available but was stunned when he saw uncountable amounts. He decided to forget about figuring it out on his own and just ask the system, which recommended ‘basic hand to hand combat’ which he agreed with. After all he should get some basics before learning other advanced martial arts otherwise it would be much harder.
He then was quickly sucked into the grey space and started reading.
