《Immortal Sovereign (Cancelled)》Chapter 11. Coming of Age Ceremony (Six)

In the distance Li Deshi and Yuan Zen were rapidly teleporting however back at the town hall where there was currently now going on the combat profiency/experience test a young woman could be seen this was none other than Ven An growing bored and decided to watch the combat test. P
eople were required to first test out their strength against dark steel and then their strength would be measured and after that they would fight someone at Spirit Master stage who would judge their strength and give them a grade of 1st-6th Grade which would be influenced by the person's age and cultivation. Whilst most people had mortal and enhanced mortal cultivation while it was rare to find an Spirit disciple it wouldn't be impossible and usually thered be quite a few but barely if any spirit disciples among the young children at the city where Zhou Ye lived.
Zhou Ye thought to himself "Its finally time to shine! I gotta make it big now or i have to wait next year!" As time passed several went and gone most of the people were mortals with alot of spirit energy called enhanced mortals.
After some time passed it was Zhou Zhixin's turn and he furiously punched the dark steel wall resulting in 370 Jin of impact which made a very small dent on the wall. As he was fighting the tester he managed to last quite a bit and recieved 4th Grade Talent however he barely reached that as he was only 10 years of age. If he was 12 or even 11 he would have been downgraded to a 3rd Grade Talent.
After quite some time before Zhou Ye's turn Zhou Ye sighed at the fact he was alone since Ye Cheng was sent to be an proper disciple of Lightning Hall and come back the next day. As he was contemplating someone made a deep dent onto the wall and it was the strength of 780 Jin. This was by a young boy who was 11 years of age and his name was Shen Yaozu as he was fighting he lasted several times longer than Zhixin and one had to know that 780 Jin was only 220 jin short of the maximum a spirit disciple could reach.

Shen Yaozu looked quite arrogant as he screamed "Can anyone defeat my record?!" Whilst the youth's didn't know all the elders of the sects knew that Shen Yaozu was a Corporeal Cultivator based on pouring all his Spirit Energy into physical strength which was why noone noticed him in the first two tests. Of course a Corporeal Cultivator still had a powerful Soul as anyone that entered Soul Stage would have a soul instantly more powerful then anyone beneath them which was the difference between Spirit and Soul.
As Li Deshi and Yuan Zen were travelling all of a sudden the sky was being teared apart slowly and in the distance from the sky a levitating being with golden clothes and bright yellow hair flowing slightly down as well as an aura surrounding him bringing all the energy of the mortal realm simmilar to what Li Deshi did however thousands of times on a bigger scale.
This beings was unseeable by Li Deshi and Yuan Zen as it wanted for it to not to be seen as he said "Master fell here mmm I'll drop something and whomever picks it up will feel a massive rise of cultivation potential and talent however they'll be fated to help master's new apprentice" The figure dropped an small handful size azure sculpture of Tang Xuan which fell to the mortal world and as it did an young cultivator at the age of 13 and Spirit Disciple stage picked it up and walked away. Li Deshi and Yuan Zen were however oblivious to the event and continued on.
It was now Zhou Ye's turn to do the combat test and he poured his strength into his hand Zhou Ye could be considered somewhat as a Corporeal cultivator as he practiced the physical force of his body heavily. Within Zhou Ye's dantian lightning was starting to rapidly gather as did his bones, flesh and veins being constantly strengthened by his energy he then condensed all the energy into his right hand and as he punched it out to hit the dark steel it came off but a fingers distance before Zhou Ye's punched was mysteriously slowed down however even though his force was stopped the amount of jin was 1000....

This was considered the very peak of Spirit Disciple in terms of Jin and most people usually didn't get up to the peak of strength and most stagnated at 900 Jin and continued on to the next level. Zhou Ye was however certain his full strength should have atleast been 2000 Jin which was near that of a Spirit Master's Initial Stage.
The one who restrained his strength was none other than Yan Mo who thought to himself while sweating intensely and having a slight frightened look "Impossible... I clearly restricted his strength but when I did what was all that resistance? More importantly how did he still punch it so hard?..." Would anyone care if Yan Mo did it to someone like Zhou Ye of course not! The first two tests couldn't be cheated or changed on only the 3rd one about physical means could and since Zhou Ye already had bad results who would defend him?
Immediately all the Core Elders of the sect thought one thing and this was "Corporeal Cultivator!" those who reached unimaginal levels in their strength but only with corporeal means. In the distance as Li Deshi and Yuan Zen were travelling they were suddenly stopped by a young middle aged man this was none other than Yuan Li who was before at his house and sensed the two teleporting and asked "Ancestor and honourable master what are you two doing here?" Whilst the words didn't seem respectfull the tone and gestures were definitely so and obviously Yuan Zen was the ancestor and Li Deshi the honourable master as he once in the past took Yuan Li as a temporary disciple due to some circumstances...
Yuan Zen knew about what Yuan Li was doing here however Li Deshi didn't know why he was here. Yuan Zen quickly replied "I am currently busy... I will tell you later" Yuan Zen was capable of travelling much faster than he was however he needed Li Deshi to identify Zhou Ye and that teleporting with Li Deshi would be quite dangerous if in long distances and any distances shorter Li Deshi himself could easily travel. Li Deshi was just about to leave until a high pitched voice came out saying "Uncle! Do we have visitors?"
These words came from a young girl with a bright smile on her face and wearing a vibrant purple robe with slightly dark purple hair this was naturally Ye Yin who was excitingly awaiting for the return of Ye Cheng.
Li Deshi was greatly surprised on her were vibrations of Peak Spirit Practitioner however what was truly amazing was inside her body was an extremely cold this was none other than a Inborn Constitution.
If a child was favoured by the heavens they would be born with such an constitution and others would go through the other way which was to go against heaven and reach oblivion and be reborn with a constitution.
However the most surprising thing that Li Deshi felt was that Yuan Li never lived with any of his relatives and merely accepted mission after mission. But what did an Inborn Constitution mean?
It was constitution which made them significently suitable for whatever element the constitution take for Ye Yin for example her Constitution allowed for her to have a body which could at an early age emit and withstand extreme cold. Her appitudes were that of Ice and Water from Water came Ice and because of that she could generate more ice as well as manipulating it easier. (You throw some water and while its in mid air its turn to ice).
However Ye Yin's constitution was more based on Water rather than Ice and one day once she got up to a sufficient level she would be capable of mixing the Ice and Water into one Element which would either be Pure-Water or True-Ice.

Recovery of a Life
The prince of a kingdom was erased from the world. His very existence an enigma. Follow Xopil as he forces his life into a world that refuses to acknowledge his presence. I tried to write a novel without including all the standard things you find in certain genres, or if it is included, I hope it's at least a fresh take on it, this includes me breaking the fourth wall, probably too much. I'm wondering if that helped with humor at all, and also reconsidering if that should be a part of the story. I'm going to be rewriting every chapter at this point... and that chapter I'm extremely disappointed with could likely be deleted if not redone entirely. Now that this story is marked 'completed', I'll be going through each chapter and fleshing out the story a bit, as I found it severely lacking, and I've been saying to myself "I could have done more with that." way more often than I should be. And that speaks to my own dissatisfaction with my writing. I make no warranty-express or implied-as to the quality of these chapters, or the story as a whole. Cover art by Roman Valeyev
