Dad: Magic? Mom little Jhon just ask me magic!
Mom: I'm busy, just show him the best magic you got, its the first time little Jhon ask something from you.
Dad: Listen here little Jhon, Daddy here is a warrior so I can't show you magic. How about i show you my sword skills instead?
Jhon: Magic... papa magic
Dad: OK fine look at my finger, I will pull this out and boom!
John's dad don't know what to do thinking his baby want to see some magic. Jhon also have a headache from the misunderstanding. 'I don't wan to see your magic tricks, I want to learn real magic' He thought but can't exactly speak since he is supposed to be a one year old baby.
To make his point, Jhon pretended to cry while he keeps saying "magic... Magic...."
Dad: Mom! Help me here Our baby wanna see some real magic.
Mom: Just tell him the truth that you fail your awakening. Jhon is smart he will understand.
Dad: Listen here little Jhon, your papa failed his magic awakening when he was 5 years old, so I train to be a warrior instead. Real men needs to be warrior, magic are for sisies!
Jhon: Awk...ening?
Dad: Yes yes awakening. Your still too young to understand, but let me tell you about magic awakening before we eat.
Jhon finally understand why he can't feel, mana or magic. So when kids became 4 years old, they attend the morning training in front of village chief's house.
Although its called "training" its about setting the foundation of the child's body in preparation for the magic awakening when the child reach five year of age. All they do are light exercise like running and jumping then take some herbal medicine.
The medicine is to removed the strain from "training" in the children's body and also help their body adapt to the training.

The highest authority in the Greenleaf village is the chief, followed by the Shaman. The village shaman is an old woman who take care of the village herb garden together with the village doctor,. She also cures sick people who can't be cured by the village doctor.
The medicine children take during training is also concocted by the shaman. She is highly respected in the whole village.
Regarding the awakening ceremony, Jhon still have no idea 'cause lunch is already prepared so story time us finished. He needs to investigate about that since he can't ask directly.
'Pretending to be a baby is too hard after all.'
It took our little Jhon a few weeks to learn about the magic awakening ceremony that all five year old kids have to participate. He keeps asking his mother indirectly when she was teaching Jhon to speak some new words.
Every year after the rainy season, the delegate from Lett city comes to Greenleaf village to perform the "magic awakening ceremony" and "warrior potential test." The neighboring villages also send their five year old kids to participate in the tests.
According to knowledge that little Jhon gathered from his mom, the magic awakening ceremony is about letting the child's s body expose to high density mana to awake the child's magic vien.
Only with active magic vien can one feel mana to use magic.
Those who failed in the magic awakening can take the Warrior Potential Test. Its to see if the child's body strong enough to train the warrior's way.
Those who pass can go to Lett city to attend the Magic or Warrior School. Studying on the city requires money but those with high talent don't need to pay. Jhon's dad used to study in the Warrior school but dropped out before graduating because of poverty. He then became one if the best hunter on the village.

Jhon understand that its impossible for him to learn magic for the time being. He can only try the so called foundation.
The schedule need to be change, no more lying on bed. He needs more physical activities. For a start more walking, its all a baby can do after all. Its good to pretend an energitic kid for a change.
Jhon's thinking stopped when he heard a knock on the door. His mother stopped cleaning and greet the guest.
It's an old lady around 70 years old, and Jhon's mother accompanied her inside the house.
'She must be the shaman.' Jhon thought as the guest fits perfectly from what he heard about the shaman. Very old clothes but clean, cheerful and a mysterious air around her. When the shaman enter, she directly walk to see Jhon, and stared a him for a long time.
He can see the smilin face of the old woman, with only a couple I teeth left in the upper jaw and none on the lower jaw. Her eyes are so bright that they don't fit well with that face.
'What does she want?'
