She then yanked the dagger out of his head and sheathed it. A sigh let down as she lowered her guard.
One of the soldiers dismounted his horse.
The last soldier came to her nervous and afraid. He swallowed his fear up and swung his sword loosely in preparation.
The carriage members were shocked. Everyone watched in wonder at the sight they witnessed.
She noticed the 2 horses remaining and the last 2 soldiers.
"Heck, I gotta deal with these guys quickly we're losing time" she pondered.
One of the soldiers was a skilled swordsman he swung his sword with fierceness and precision.
"I'll deal with the weak one first".
He proceeded to do an overhead lunge.
"You idiot" yelled the other Soldier.
Kairui took notice, drew her daggers, and stabbed his torso repeatedly penetrating through his chainmail.
Each stab brought about volumes of gushing blood, spouting from his abdomen. The sound of the daggers skewering and impaling his armor plate was overheard by everyone present.
She kept piercing through him, in At least five seconds she had carved out his armor in fifteen consecutive stabs.
The sound of scraping and rattles could be heard as she yanked and pulled out each dagger, they scraped and cut through his Breastplate and chainmail respectively. Each time a new pot whole of blood sprung out.
He gathered his energy for a fierce lunge to split her in two. The pain was nothing to him, he was intoxicated and had a huge muscly build. His bulky figure was one which made him slow and numb to pain but he compensated with the devasting swipes of his giant great sword.
His sword struck the ground missing its target completely.
He was baffled as he hadn't seen her movements at all.
Kairui had moved already and was behind him. She had removed a dagger from his chest.

She put the dagger to his throat as she twisted her wrist to grip the dagger that she abandoned in his chest.
As he looked down to his greatsword in confusion all he could see was an arm wrapped around him pushing a dagger into his stomach as another cut into his throat.
It was over!!. The huge man grasped his throat as blood sprung out. Croaking under the pain, he reached out to his comrade as he felt approached. He was like a walking fountain, puddles of blood surrounded him, giving his armor a reddish tint. The intestines from his body leaked out settling on the floor as his knees shivered.
Kairui rested her head on his shoulder staring back at the last soldier with revere, as she licked the dagger and smirked.
The other soldier looked at her with scorn. Wasting no time, He charged at her in a front tipped lunge into his comrade.
Penetrating through his comrade, the blade sludged in him as they all slowly collapsed to the ground.
His sword scraped her side pelvis, narrowly missing her.
Leaving her unscathed. She nudged her dagger from his chest and made a dash for the spare horses.
"Run" she yelled out.
Sannu reacted instantly and paced off. With a flick of motion, she was off as well. The soldier plucked his sword out, brushing his dead comrades' hand aside as he reached out to him.
"Bitch, you ain't getting away" he cursed.
He ran after her in pursuit, whistling his horse, he mounted it and gained momentum on the carriage and her once again.
"Behind you, Ussu and Yannu" yelling and pointing out together.
They had their arms out of the carriage door ready for her to grab so she can come in.
Kairui took a quick glance back and saw the ugly mug of the relentless soldier. She sheathed her daggers and nudged the horse to ride faster. Slowly and carefully she climbed the horse, standing atop both feet leveled and firm.

"No you don't" the soldier shouted as he flicked his reins sporadically.
He gained momentum.
He went for an inward horizontal swing.
Kairui sensing it, leaped from the horse doing a somersault and landing in Yannu and Ussu's arms. They pulled her up immediately.
"Head for the bridge," she told as she collapsed on the floor.
The rider got closer and closer. Matching their speed but still behind.
His pursuit was fruitless as he tried to overtake them and get closer to the rider.
Quine had managed to block him off with her callouts to Sannu. Kairui stood up and saw the brute still after them.
"Your dead bitch, I remember your face. Your dead" he fired out in frustration. She poked her tongue out and laughed.
Whispering to Ussu "Pass me that dagger".
Ussu spotted Kairuis dagger on her waist and gave it to her.
"Not mine. The spare ones".
"Why there all the same aren't they??".
"That one! Now" Kairui urged with a protruded eyebrow and a sway of her pupils.
Ussu rushed to the chest grabbing the dagger sat on top of it.
Placing it in her hand.
Kairui taunted the man one last time.
Switching to his native tongue.
"Say hello to Śeingtt's for me. Tell him am not ready to come yet".
"I don't worship your fake devil gods, whore....".
She flung the dagger at his head with deadly precision. Piercing into his eye splitting his eye socket it lodged straight through. Sound dulled around him, his mind was in an empty space. The dagger pierced through his helmet flinging it off his face.
Spacing out, Time blurred, and he blacked out.
His fingers were loose, he slowly let go of the reins. He fell in an uncontrolled tussle with the ground as his body picked up momentum entering into a skipping roll as he crashed losing momentum.
His horse gave chase before slowly trotted along and staring abruptly into the distance. It's cold breathe was bounced and spread as it searched for its owner.
Ussu flinched at the gruesome sight.
"BULLSEYE!!" Yannu screamed in excitement.
The soldier's mind went blank as he hit the ground.
The horse neighed, screeching out at the sudden assault.!
The soil jumped up upon his clash, he heard the horses abrupt stop and cry's as his senses dulled. His clear eye blinked frantically as his sight went black. As his fingers sporadically twitched from the pain he lay on the floor in a slug-like spasm. The last he could hear was the cheers fade further and further away, thinking of the girl Kairui whose name sonically rung in his mind.

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
