Without knowing that someone was watching him like a predator looking at his prey Calter continued his non-stop assault and slashed his swords towards the Elder elegantly

The Elder easily parried all of his attacks no matter how many times Calter increase his speed. After some time the Elder moved his hand fast and his hand that was holding his sword collided with Calter's own hand. The impact loosened Calter's grip on his sword and it landed on the ground

"Your speed is fast but not all of your opponent will fight how you like them. You should practice having a tighter grasp on your sword if you want to make your sword attacks faster and stronger" the Elder advised and Calter nodded

He already knew of this shortcomings of him but he still needed time to fix it. His Bloodline boost his speed but his body still needs to have the ability to fully wield it. As because of his own speed even when the Elder didn't do anything there were still some times when his hold on his sword loosened a bit

"Try lowering your speed first then you can increase it slowly when your body become used to it" Calter did as what the Elder said and continued displaying his swordmanship

He once again use his Bloodline Power and thrust his sword towards the Elder. Although his speed this time was slower but for someone at his level it was still fast. Also, the power behind it was a bit stronger than before. His hold on the sword improved and there was almost no time when his grip on his sword loosened a bit

The Elder can't help but feel that this Calter was really a talent, he was unlike other cultivators who are inflexible. He took advices from others seriously and corporated it on his own attacks. He quickly accepted his weakness and took actions about it immediately. If it was other cultivators instead of improving from someone's advice it might even hinder their cultivation

"The Elders will give you a badge that you need to present after a week. I know some of you have some questions regarding the academy but the Elders will also give you the general rules!"

The badge will gain their aura and will serve as an identity badge for the students. They were also given a stack of papers containing the basic rules and regulations on the academy

"Kence, I need to go now. My father was holding a banqeut for my admission to the academy. Do you want to go with me?" Although the two of them only met each other today and was only able to spend a few hours with each other but they are already like a good friend. Calter like the pureness of Kence, although the kid was a bit on guard for him at first but when he showed him a good attitude that immediately vanished

Calter didn't see what he saw on other Noble kids, the desire to get close to him because they will gain benefits. He only saw that Kence wants to be good friends with him because he showed him a good attitude

Hearing Calter's words although Kence wanted to go because this was a chance for him to eat 'good food' after his rebirth but just imagining how many Nobles will attend the banquet made him chicken out. He was almost sure that he would just get bullied and belittle in there and he won't risk it

"I can't, I want to spend my time with my parents. I would be away from them after a week" thus, Kence decided to half-lie. He don't want to attend the banquet because of the possible bullying but it's also true that he want to take this time to bond with his parents

"Are you sure? I promise it would be fun!" Calter really want Kence to go with him because he would just get bored by socializing with the Noble kids who surely has ulterior motives. If Kence was with him they can chat and become closer with each other

"I'll make it up with you next time okay?" What Kence meant by next time was when he gained sufficient strength to be able to stand side by side with a Noble.

Calter sighed disappointedly, it seems like the night would be long for him today

The two went on separate ways and Kence met his parents outside the academy. He can see his mother pacing back and forth in nervousness while his father may not look as frantic as his mother but nervousness can also be seen on his face

"Mom! Dad!" Hearing their son's voice, the two look towards the direction of where the sound came from and saw Kence with a sad look. They immediately came into conclusion that their son failed

Kence's mother immediately run to her kid and hug him tightly, his father on the other hand went to pat his back

"Kence, don't be sad. We still love you okay?" Emily tried to console her kid who without her knowing was trying to hold back his laugh. Kence's body slightly trembled because of stopping himself from laughing but Emily thought that it was because her son was trying to stop himself from crying

"Son, don't be like this. We don't care if you can't enter the academy. You are still our son!" Hearing their words made Kence to feel a warmth on his heart. His parent's love for him was truelly unconditional. He started to feel guilty now

Kence broke free from her mother's hug and took the badge of golden blood on his pocket. The badge was radiating an aura similar to Kence's Bloodline Power

"I passed, I entered the Elite Class!" His parents blinked their eyes and stared at the badge for a few seconds before a pain travelled to Kence's body from his ear

"You kid! If you got accepted then what's with this show?!" The woman was puffing in anger with a red face

"Mom! Stop! I'm sorry okay? I'm sorry!" Tears started gathering around the kid's eyes. Kence's mother stopped pinching his ears which made him heave a sigh of relief. Unfortunately, his mother then slap him on his small round buttocks

"You naughty child! I need to educate you!" Kence's mother said angrily and continued slapping his buttocks. "I won't do it again, I'm sorry!" Now, Kence regretted playing a prank on them. His action was really digging his own grave

Kence's father on the other hand just shake his head. After a few minutes his mother was finally satisfied. "Let's go home now, I'll make feast for us to celebrate. However, you kid I'm still not finish with you!" Then she glared at her son

Kence turned to look at his father with a puppy look asking for some help but the man only mouthed 'It's your fault. I can't do anythig with it' which made Kence looked at his father hatefully thinking 'you are my dad, why can't you help me?'

Seeing the resentful look of his son, Harold bite the bullet to help him. "Emily, I think the kid already learned his lesson. Let's just celebrate for now. He got into the Elite Class okay? Elite Class?"

"You're right!" Realization hit Emily, her son entered the Elite Class! His future was limitless. All commoner and Noble kids wants to enter the Elite Class but not all of them has the ability. However, now his son actually entered the class that most can only dream of!

Hearing this, Harold was relieved for a second before Emily continued. "Don't think that I didn't know he throwed you a puppy look and because of how much you spoiled him decided to help him. Am I right?!" Harold looked down as if a kid that got busted

Just like what she did to Kence, Emily pinched her husband's ears which made their son silently giggled. "Harold, I swear you spoil him too much! Look at the prank he did to us. This is all your fault!"

Seeing that his mother's anger was redirected to his father, Kence decided that he would later play with his father and 'show him his love' to make up for it
