《Path of Salvation》Chapter 031: Fall of Bavarias prestige I

The crack introduced them into a collective system of blue cracks in space within an endless void. Lily, Blue Lotus, Twinkle, and Passion were on their way to The Collector. With Lily and Lotus being incapable of flight, Passion has to hold onto Lily while he propelled himself upward with flames and Lotus has to hug Twinkle as she takes off on a cloud.
"Let's think about a plan first before we dive in!", asserted Lily. Despite having been a Dream Catcher for only three years, she's proven to have shown great leadership. Taking over as the number one just a year after she had become a Dream Catcher through unfortunate circumstances, she forced herself to mature far more than necessary. Within that white dress of hers shaped in form of a lily, the teal tailcoat on top of her dress, and the white stockings with golden hearts embroidered into it, she symbolizes her love for plantlife. Her pink bobcut stood out within her outfit. Suddenly becoming the number one after Katerina's passing was hard but she managed.
"I'm guessing that the one we're looking for is at the center of this cluster of cracks," said Lotus. Compared to the powerhouse that is Lily, she's more of a crafty but also speedy and swift fighter. A diving suit in blue is all she wears. Her darkblue ponytail was long enough to reach her hips. Though it came without all the necessary gear to be effective, it didn't matter as it was her design choice. Becoming a Dream Catcher just a couple months after Lily, she allowed herself to be named by Lily.
"Ah! Such a bother. Can't we just write them off as dead?", uttered Twinkle. Becoming a Dream Catcher half a year after Lily, she proved to be the most difficult to work with. Only working for money, she often came into conflict with Lily. Her skirt being more akin to a cloud while she wore a darkblue top with a starry night pattern and a golden crop jacket... At times she could be rather eccentric and quite childish. Her long, blonde, and wavy hair reached her shoulders.
"Stop comlaining and just do your job!", said Passion as he knocked on her head. His red hair was in a manbun while he also wore golden G-Clefs as earrings. White gloves, a golden crop jacket, a pink shirt with a black F-Clef on top, and white cargo shorts... Rather flamboyant but still quite tame.
"Well... We can deduce that the “main space” of this domain is where all these cracks originate from!", she claimed as she pointed below them, at a massive white ball of light. "Maybe the captives are there too. We just need to make sure to not touch any other cracks. Passion, do some heat-seeking!"
Passion activated his ability to sense heat trying to spot the ones they've been looking for. Three cracks gave off faint heat. One of them gave off the most heat potentially pointing out Hellfire. And another gave off little to no heat. Twinkle went ahead and simply took off as she had grown impatient.
"Hey, Twinkle! At least-"
One of the cracks turned into an arm and grabbed Lily's leg. She disappeared as soon as they came in contact. Twinkle shook off Lotus and allowed her to fall into one of the cracks wherein one of the captives was located. Passion decided to check out the last crack in space with a heat signal, the ball of light, knowing that his teammates are fine.
Lily found herself within a blue crystal cave illuminated by blue luminescent fungi and green fireflies. Trying to grab one of the fireflies and the fungi, she realized that these things were alive, more than the usual creations of a domain. The fireflies had their own spirits even if faint and the fungi was filled with natural power. One thing that stood out among the living beings in this cave was one lone spirit, a toddler-like being that looks more like a clay doll with too little definition to make hands and feet while lacking facial features other than white eyes. Shining in red, it reached for Lily's hand.

"Are you trying to guide me?", she asked.
It wouldn't respond and simply waited until Lily grabbed its arm. Having to kneel down a little to reach its arm that could bend like rubber, she held onto the spirit. Walking towards a crevice within the cave walls, it revealed a separate section. A massive cave hidden behind a crevice... one that holds a massive moss reservoir, azalea trees, a crystal clear river, and more luminescent fungi and firelflies. At the end of it all was one massive daisy that has yet to bloom.
"Is that where Daisy is?", she asked as she hadn't met Daisy before. The spirit let her roam free and wander around. Letting go of Lily's hand, it approved of her in some shape or form.
One corrupted liana reached after Lily as The Collector uttered, "I made it so easy for you to find me and you still have the audicity to just wander around and cause chaos! At least you were considerate enough to not destroy anything I've built up. I'll earnestly fight you without pulling tricks if you hold onto this liana!"
While she did have her doubts, she went ahead and did as he said even with the risks that may come with it.
Lotus came across a sunny world. A massive white pine stood far from her location. An endless field of sunflowers surrounded her and the white pine as if they cover this world. Doves were flying around reiterating just how peaceful this world really is.
"So it's toying around with us by forcing us to go on a massive search, huh?", wondered Blue Lotus. A little overconfident and conceited, she sunk into the ground as she uprooted a few flowers. Being capable of swimming through solids and fluids, she can get anywhere without being spotted leaving little to no traces behind.
A massive eye appeared within the skies staring at Lotus angered by her actions.
"What do you think you're doing to my sunflowers?!", asked The Collector angered by her actions. "I spent so much time creating this place and pointed out the way to me and you still have the audacity to trample on all this?!"
Space warped to drag Blue Lotus out of the ground. Dragging her deeper into the ground, she ended up back within a void.
Twinkle spent her time among clouds and clock towers. Flying within the dark as stars shone down on her, she could spot screens around one of the clock towers. Several scenes were displayed on top of these screens, scenes that were a part of Raven's memories. Knowing that this must be where one of the captives is located, she decided against approaching that clock tower. Instead, she opted for looting whatever she can starting with the nearest clocktower.
"I wonder if there's anything worth looting to begin with? Parts of it seem to be made of pure gold. Maybe I can do something with that?"
Breaking into the clocktower by destroying the clock, she spotted a massive farm of Devil Seeds within. The clocktower was just an empty husk of a clocktower with a magical fountain contaminated by magic. Feeding the Demons while also neutralizing it in ways that won't make them act out, it seems to be one of the main Demon farms within this collection of domains.
"Couldn't he create a massive Fusion with that? Maybe I should destroy them?"
Folds in space pulled away at Twinkle while also shredding the cloud she sat on.
"Since you want something of value so badly that you're willing to abandon your comerades, how about trading?", he yelled into space. "Your life in exchange for Devil Seeds!"

Out of the hundreds of demons, only a few of them were starting to take shape meaning she'll have to face them in waves.
Passion had headed directly towards the ball of light as this was where the last heat signal originated from. Within was The Collector himself. His body temperature was rather low for a humanoid, high for a Demon, but still high enough to be detected. Within was a massive world, or rather, a massive void with trains running on floating train tracks and one massive bowl at the center of it all.
"You're the only one that went straight to my Core Domain... Interesting!" The Collector was happy that at least one of them made it to the obvious meeting place. Still, he was a little disappointed by the lack of fighters.
Passion summoned his weapon, a rapier, glowing thanks to the heat within it. Twirling it around above his head, he created a sharp ringblade of flames. Duplicating it several times, he motioned one of the rings to chase after The Coordinator. With his target standing on top of that bowl where all the tracks converge, Passion fired one of the rings. Awaiting the moment he is approached, he motions it to chase after The Coordinator.
The Coordinator dodged the first attack but had to run to not get hit. Jumping onto the first track he could get his feet on, he slid on down the traintracks barely avoiding the rings return. Only after cutting it down with a longsword did it dissipate into an explosive mess of flames. However, twelve more rings would follow one after another until all of them are destroyed. The second ring was much faster but thinner and likely held less explosive power. Cutting through that blade of his as if it was paper, The Coordinator barely made it out alive. With that book of his, the blade was teleported straight to another crack in space. However, it quickly found its way back appearing right behind The Coordinator. As Passion's target came closer, he deemed it necessary to summon another rapier and have him deal with two ringblades at once. Even that wouldn't stop The Coordinator as these blades merely cut off a limb or two only for him to recover within a fracture of a second. Now that he's within reach to attack Passion, Passion simply allows for all of the ringblades to explode to form some form of smokescreen.
"I was taught by Katerina herself that going straight into combat is a mistake. Were you seriously under the impression that I would make close-combat that easy?", he proudly spoke as he took off on a train.
The smoke and fire dissipated enough for The Coordinator to look at his opponent. Getting away with second degree burns all over his body, he scoffed at his opponent's ability to flee and hold him off. Still, he was quite impressed by the way his opponent escaped.
"Maybe you wanna save that girl with her cloud first, huh?! Instead of wasting your time running-"
"Where exactly are you looking at?" Passion has appeared directly behind The Collector taking him by surprise.
Trying to retaliate by wildy swinging his longsword, he misses as Passion is nowhere to be found. A kick to the chin sent him flying into a train as he is allowed no time to recoup and recover. Right after he's thrown directly into the void allowing him to recover for at least a short amount of time before he inevitably pops up. Pulling a Devil Seed out of his book, he was ready to take on Passion. Swallowing it whole despite its rough edges and horrendous bitterness, he lamented having to use something as special as this.
"Amias... I'm sorry for having to do this to you," The Coordinator lamented as he turned into a small singular seed too small for the human eye to see. Falling straight into the massive bowl, it disappeared. Exploding into a massive rose affected by some kind of infection. Turning into a black rose with purple growth on its stem creating venus fly traps, it would shield The Collector from harm until he's ready to engage in battle again.
Though it took a while, a couple mintues, Passion finally cut it down leaving behind the roots clinging onto the bowl while completely covering it. He backed off in case something would emerge from the roots and formed one fire ring launching it directly at the roots. Simply absorbing it, the roots start beating like a heart as they glow in red. As if lava was coursing through it, it glowed in red and oozed out lava.
"Within that time I was away I took care of these friends of yours and grown accustomed to this new form. I'll lay waste to your pride as prodigies and give birth to even more despair!" The roots inflated and oozed out even more lava. Exploding into The Collector's new form, he proudly presented himself.
A daffodil flower crown, a strange purple gem embedded into his chest as his body is exposed bare. Looking like a 15-year-old teen with a muscular build and ashy brown skin, he proudly presents his new form. His eyes black with purple pupils, his veins glowing purple, dark pockets of gold and a massive halo on his back radiated with energy. His very being oozed and spoke of ultimate power. His lower half was missing but what should be there was covered by several sets of wings. That halo of his had seven spikes portruding from it.
"For now I have ultimate authority over this Demon. Witness it: Neo-Amias!"
Now that his powers have been boosted, he can deal with Passion and even overwhelm him. However, at least one of his allies wasn't incapacitated yet while the others are figuring out how to deal with their predicament.
Lily was trapped within a crystal ball. No matter how often she punches it, it won't budge and simply throws everything back at her twice as strong. Not knowing how to deal with this issue, she gets frustrated and thinks about Katerina, the person she looks up to.
"What would Katerina do in this situation... “To overcome hardship, you must prepare for hardship!”... But I haven't prepared at all and simply decided to go straight to Germany!"
Not used to being trapped as she'd often depend on her team to think when things get too difficult, she thinks about what each one of them would do starting off with Lotus.
"Lotus... She probably doesn't have to worry about things like these and can just swim trhough them... But what if she couldn't?" She pondered long and hard. "It returns everything to the sender twice as strong... Maybe I can recover some of the magic that guy has syphoned off me?"
Trying to channel her magic into this crystal ball she achieves absolutely nothing and simply loses magic.
"Since Lotus doesn't work... Twinkle... is useless! She'd probably nap in here until someone else gets her out!"
The only one she can think of is Passion though she can't really think of ways to deal with this problem.
"He'd abuse their power and pride and sometimes even pick up on things they are sensitive too... If I remember correctly, that was the shared love for nature! Maybe he'll let me out if I give him one of my Spiral Flowers!", she exclaimed as she realized her way out is near.
Twinkle however had escaped her predicament within that clocktower world. Escaping by finding the edge of this little domain, she somehow got ahold of Raven. Still asleep and nearly drooling all over as she held onto him to secure him, she looked for the other captives knowing that they can deal with the one behind all this. Returning to the spot where they had discussed their plans, she tried to remember where the other captives were held. Spotting just one lone branch sprouting out of a crack in space, she could guess that Lily signaled for anyone to come get her but prioritized getting the hostages to safety.
"If I remember correctly... The big boss is within that ball and the cpatives should be somewhere around here... I'm sorry Lily, but there may be more pay if I get the captives before I get you outta here!"
Diving into another crack, she found the luminescent cave of fungi and fireflies. Spotting the crack rather quickly, she passed by the spirit Lily had met before ignoring it for now and dug deeper into this little domain. Admiring the azalea trees for a few seconds and moving on to the massive daisy, she simply created a sword of light cut it open. Within lied Daisy who, as expected, was knocked out cold.
"There goes number two out of three. The rewards better be big!"
On to the last person she was supposed to get out of here, she came across the sunflower field and the massive white pine. Taking a souvenir, the spirit from earlier, with her, she flew straight to the white pine tree.
"Now that I think about it... That strange guy was rather lenient. He only released a few Demons out of the hundreds he had in store and also let us explore as long as we don't smash anything. On top of that he's stopped pursuing me even after I cut open that daisy and kidnapped his little buddy here... Maybe he's occupied?"
Within that pine trees crown lied Hellfire smiling as he dreamed of better times.
"If only Passion could make these faces once in a while. He'd be as cute as this guy and probably have a partner too but instead he's pretentious and really annoying!"
Taking off with Hellfire she has secured the captives and intends to flee from this domain for now. Getting Lily and finding Passion and Lotus can be done after she's rescued the people flying with her.
Meanwhile, Passion is dealing with Neo-Amias. This form allows for far greater fire power and greater manipulation of space. That halo of his always intervenes whenever he's hit. Losing one spike whenever he's hit, he takes no damage but also has to wait until that spike regenerates. Getting close to him is impossible as he'd always reverse gravity or take off whenever, he can. While he has the upper hand, he's unaware of having lost his captives and unaware of the person watching from above in form of water vapor. Blue Lotus quietly observed the battle to spot out weaknesses and flaws within The Coordinator's new form. Having escaped from being thrown out of one little domain into one of these crystal balls by splitting body parts off and turning them into water, she even spotted Twinkle taking care of the ones they were supposed to rescue.
"Twinkle has taken care of the kidnapees and Flora remains within that crystal ball I've told you about," she whispered into Passions ear. Letting the water vapor travel towards him and forming it into a mouth was quite effective in delivering messages without being seen. Simply hiding behind him would allow her to relay messages.
"I've also determined that only significant damage will remove the spikes and space shifts around the halo making him untouchable from behind. We should retreat as soon as everyone is here. From his behaviour and King's shifty behaviour I can determine that he can be reasoned with. Intel should be enough, right?"
Passion was on board with the plan. Getting Lily and Twinkle to act along shouldn't be that hard.
"Hey! You are quite the reasonable guy, aren't you? Pretend to flee and we'll handle you Devil Seeds of two A-class Demons and an S-class Demon. How about it?", Passion offered. He knew that The Collector wouldn't simply let go of such a deal and from the information they've gathered so far, he'll likely let this happen.
Creating a perfect copy of his Neo-Amias form, he turned back into the form he takes on as The Collector while also coughing up the Devil Seed he had swallowed completely cleansed of its dark magic.
"Fine. I want them right now!"
Two dropped from above while Passion threw the last one. Their plan has come to fruition and this battle will come to an end quite quickly. Blue Lotus reformed and appeared right behind Passion crouching. The Collector made his leave as he let Neo-Amias break loose and wreak havoc to the Core Domain.
Lily still in wait of support, finally spotted a cloud reaching in and squeezing itself past the vines she created. Standing in front of a wooden lance with vines all over it, she watched the cloud squeeze in trying to reach her. Holding onto the cloud, she was dragged back out of the rift.
"What were you doing all this time? And why would you go as far as to just leave your crewmates behind?", Lily asked Twinkle somewhat angry the behaviour her teammate was displaying.
"At least I rescued the three captives I could find! What were you doing, hm?!"
Lily had nothing to say and simply allowed herself to be flown straight to the ball of light wherein Passion and Blue Lotus are fighting Neo-Amias. Upon entering, they spotted Passion lying in pain as he had been split in half by his torso. Lotus erected a water barrier to keep them safe for as long as Passion is down. Lily reacted quite quickly to Neo-Amias as Twinkle still was in shock of the situation at hand.
"Hey! Passion, what happened?!", she inquired shocked as she'd never seen him this hurt before.
"Just fetch me my legs and hit this thing like four more times...", Passion said as he bled out. Twinkle did as told as Lily engaged in battle. With a kick she sent Neo-Amias flying before it could react. Right after she followed with another wooden lance thrown at its stomach to nail it to the bowl. Though the lance ceased to be the moment Neo-Amias could activate its ability to negate damage, it still gave Lily enough time to approach with a flying kick and lob its head off. Making it look easy, Lily absolutely demolished the opponent at hand. Only one more spike remained on its halo meaning that it could negate one more hit and be killed by another.
Twinkle shot one light beam at it piercing its heart. Not much remained to truly finish off Neo-Amias. As such, as it still is in reach, Lily leapt towards her target and split its head open with just one punch. Exploding into a dark mist that covers the entire of the Core Domain, they finally escape their predicament.
Back within the ghosttown, this battle comes to a conclusion. For such a large scale event, the casualties were down to just 17 people and 100km² of the Black Forest. Still, they had to await the results that would stem from Elena's and Phantom's investigation into Munich.
