《Path of Salvation》Chapter 0: Hyperion's dirge

"455 days, huh?", he thought. A lone traveller going by the name of Hyperion wandered across a hellish tundra with the belief that he's doing good to the universe. With the spirit of a martyr, he was separated from people he started considering family. Desperately wanting to meet them again, he believes it's for the best that they stay apart.
In pursuit of beings that are called “Ultimatum”, Hyperion hopes to bring peace and hope by neutralizing those threats. On the trail of “Karma”, he was led towards this snow-covered world of mystique and wonder. With days as long as six months and nights just as long, it perfectly mimics earth. The only difference is that this planet stopped spinning a long time ago.
"Karma, she's a massive problem. Her refusing to back down from carrying out what she deems just simply hurts others. Why won't she recognize that?"
Finally reaching one of the seas the planet contains, he came across a massive tower trapped beneath ice. Digging into it won't get him anywhere. Though he did like descovering relics of the past, he still had to focus on the objective ahead. His travelling companions, Selene and Cosmo, had gone quiet as they rested for a while. After the last incident, he can't help but feel guilty for not being able to protect them. Up ahead may be a foe far more terrifying than the last. While they are still asleep, he can bury them beneath snow and keep them hidden. Leaving behind two gemstones, he left behind his travel companions.
"Now they too should be safe," he thought. "I'm sorry for not upholding my promise, Cosmo! I'm sorry for betraying your trust, Selene!"
Also leaving behind his backpack of supplies supposed to keep the three of them healthy, he risked his own life to keep the two of them safe. With no care for his own life, he ran ahead and crossed the seas.

"That's the least I can do after the tragedy I've caused nearly two years ago! Dying here fighting for what's good is far better than living on without atonement!" His mind was guilt-ridden, full of doubt, and hatred for himself. It was within his nature to blame himself for things that he wasn't in control of. It was within his nature to hate himself. It was within his nature to doubt himself.
As he ran ahead without losing any of his stamina, he wished to push his body to its upper limits. His long black coat had golden linings with seven crucifixes attached to his collar. His hair was short, orderly, and white. His earrings were golden with black inscriptions of a language long forgotten. Wearing a golden belt with those white cargo pants of his, he tried to add in contrasts that fit to his coat. His gray steel-plated boots had a built in switchblade that would retract and extend outwards on command. His thin white gloves had blue rings on them signifying a friend he'd love to go back to but cannot do so yet. To his hip was one black chain. Attached to this chain was one strange key and several glass orbs full of something golden.
Up ahead was one foe standing atop a mountain of black crystals. He likely stands no chance within that mental state of his, but alas, it's within his nature to kill himself.
"I hope Saint Hyperion ends here..."

The Pillars are vast and their secrets are their own. Whether they were built by some ancient civilisation, or were caused by some unknown phenomena, they extend as far as anyone has ever been able to travel, and on them everyone who has ever lived passed their time from birth to death. Through them weaves the interconnected settlements, both small and huge, of the so-called 'Cable City', with its endless wires and walkways which join together the myriad people living life among the pillars. THE WAR OF THE WORLDS (Completed)
The War of the Worlds is a science fiction novel by English author H. G. Wells first serialised in 1897 in the UK by Pearson's Magazine and in the US by Cosmopolitan magazine. The novel's first appearance in hardcover was in 1898 from publisher William Heinemann of London. Written between 1895 and 1897, it is one of the earliest stories that detail a conflict between mankind and an extraterrestrial race. The novel is the first-person narrative of both an unnamed protagonist in Surrey and of his younger brother in London as southern England is invaded by Martians. The novel is one of the most commented-on works in the science fiction canon.

New World to Experience
YGGDRASIL was ending, and Apoc was hoping to see the game as it ends. And fortunately, he did. But he was transported into a world that is back in the past, yet seemingly not the same world, and coincidentally in an island that was cut off from the mainlands. What should he do? Find a way back home? Or stay and change the flow of time? A little note here; this story is a bit rushed. Considered that it is old and I have little time to revise the story whole. But unless you dont mind it and decided to just read it for the sakes out of it, then be my guest... Not in a offending way obviously.

I am not the Hero
Disclaimer: This is a slow burn story that integrates both Fantasy and somewhat sci-fi. The MC will be more of an anti-hero who will kill any and everyone that he pleases while still understanding the plight of a Villain. This is also family-centric with a dash of hidden identity, Yandere Romance, Blackmail, and a lot of character growth. === Why is life precious? Because you only have one. Then what about the person who took over 999 lives? Who died 999 tragic death as a villain? Then, how would someone like that live? The answer is simple... as he damn wishes. “I-it’s not like I did it for you, you spinless Warrior.” “Good, the doors to your left, you may leave now.” He said to the tsundere Knight. PAH! “How dare you hit a woman?” “Who cares if you’re a woman? You slapped me when I just saved your life!” “You touched my chest!” “I said it was an accident, and again, I just saved your life — you know what? Fuck you, die here if you want to.” “Wait, wait, come back! Don’t leave me here! I’m sorry!” the princess screamed for help after being tossed to the side of the road. Theo did all this, yet to his dismay somehow, his reputation remained good in the eyes of many! A Hero, A Righteous Warrior, Benevolent King, Shadow Lord, Beast Keeper — such were the names given to him... To all of this, his reaction was always the same. “WHY!? How did they come to the conclusion that I’m a Hero? Even my other identities who massacred a lot of people, mind you, are not any different!” [I know, right?] “Shut up, Goddess!” This is the story of the most malicious villain turned Hero. The one with the darkest heart shining with the most brilliant name. He does not hide, nor run, he’s — The Villain Savior. === Final Notes: If you want to support the story, encourage the author, or just flat out want to read ahead, head over to the Patreon where you'll be a week ahead. Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday Enjoy and leave your thoughts in the comment section as I read those Thanks to the good reviews
