Chapter 9 Smell

Vroommm….

Bang… Bang… Bang…

Booomm!!!

The sound produce by a mini bus mowing down the zombie like creature and the gate been forced open by crashing into it. All of this event that happening down there was look by me right now from the upper floor in one of the classroom.

There is a reason that I said that this is a classroom. It was shown from the content of this room. A chair, a table, a blackboard, something like an altar at the front and minus the zombie like in this room. Of course the zombie like will be reduce where the hell you count the zombie as one part of the classroom. With all of this combine I am sure 80% of it that this room was the classroom before.

I said in the past tense because this classroom is came out of a slaughter house or the closer the remnant of homicide place. In front of me right now there are four zombie like that creeping to my position.

Seeing this scene the most important step to do is calm myself. Having calming myself, the analysis of everything that happen and the course of action that I must take will be determine whether how I can go from here.

Just now I was transfer here from that white place and the moment that myself open the eye. What I say were a three guy and a girl. One of the guy lost his right arm, the other one the neck bend in the weird direction and the last guy has his gut spill out. For the girl, how can I say it. Her body bend at every limb that can be seen. The arm, leg and neck all of it bend in weird direction making her dragging itself to my place.

The place I am right now is at the backside of the classroom. Two opening can be seen to be the place that can be used to enter this classroom. One at the front and one at the back. The door is the type that use sliding door. There only one side that has a window to the left side of mine. Two zombie at the center with the one that bend it neck and the one that spill it gut, one zombie at the front that dragging himself and the last zombie at the back close to me but it beside at the window while right now I am close to the door.

Behind me there one locker and in front a lot of desk. Hmn… What to do? Okay, then that will be my course of action.

Putting my hand at the door at the back I slide it and close them. Then checking the locker at my back what I found is two broom, one mop and one bucket. Oh, with this then I am really save.

Taking one of the broom from the locker and then crush the place that use for sweeping. Then use it to lock the door by placing it against the door. Done doing it, taking the rest of the equipment that I found I make a beeline to the front door while avoiding the zombie using the desk that scattered around the place making it as obstacle for the zombie. Like before the broom is use to block the door.

With the route to enter this classroom has been closed off, the course of action is to take out this zombie. Moving closely to the zombie at the center with the mop that has already been broke into two. With the bucket I take it and get close to the zombie that has it gut spill out. Moving close to it to find the range of the attack and when I move close to it like in two meter it begin to lunge to me. Seeing that the zombie like lunge to my direction, the action that I need to take is to take a step to the back. With the zombie like miss it attack and with the posture of hugging then taking the bucket I put on the head of that zombie.

Seeing the step that put the bucket at the head of the zombie to be successful without too much eager taking that false chance I then back off to the place that I put the mop close to the door. The moment I back off from there and out of the circle of the desk the girl zombie like emerge. With this happening it look like the step I took to back off for now was correct. If I stay there that zombie will block my path and I might really do not notice it as it not like other zombie like that standing on with it legs. This zombie craw slowly so it more dangerous than other.

Use the desk then. That something I will not take a chance to do it if possible. Unlike the desk at my school that entirely make from wood with a design that make it really stable. This one that in front of me right now has low stability as the leg of it really slim.

Taking the make shift spear with one side with my left hand and the other with my right hand it is the time that I kill this zombie. Moving to the zombie girl that crawl slowly seeing it face really make me sad.

All of it limb bend in a weird direction even the part at the next. Even though usually people will die and unable to move but the spine still intact and it move with this sorry state. Using the spear on my right I thrust it to the head of the girl. After the head of that girl had been penetrate by spear, it then stop moving.

“It look like the same as the zombie in the movie. This must means that the head is the weakness of it”

Talking out loud that address to no one particular at that time a sound was heard.

Ding!!

Level up!

“What!!!”

Raising my voice suddenly at the moment that window appear, I hurriedly tries to tap it and move that window to the side in one big swing. Damn, never thought that it appear suddenly. So, it like that it is.

Remembering the window that pop up suddenly just now, I know that right at this moment on my face there a smile that crept up. Without more moment delay I move to the next target the one that had it next bend to the side. Like the time with putting the bucket on the zombie like head I used the spear at the left baiting it and using it momentum that left over when it tried to catch me, using the spear I thrust through the head of that zombie. Unlike the other one this one a little hard to target because it neck was bend making the force to be reduce when it make contact and the force was reduce when the head move to the back.

No matter how far it move to the back with the addition of its own momentum and the force I applied from the front it enough to pierce that head. Seeing the head that dangling with the makeshift spear one word that I can said that it disgusting.

Moving back to the zombie like girl and taking the spear from her head I then move to finish off the other two zombie.

The zombie with the bucket swinging it arm to the side in a consecutive action. Why it attack like that? Moving a little farther from that zombie like dude with the bucket while keeping vigilant to the last zombie, the next moment I watch the reaction of that zombie like.

Then I notice that when that zombie like moving the bucket move and make a sound. It make me thing that it did not use sense of smell to find it prey. If it depend on the smell, that zombie will not attack randomly at the direction of the bucket and will not be fool by it. If it use the sense of smell it will come toward me without minding the bucket. This show that it now use the sense of smell.

When I found out about this fact it make me think that this is the best time to found out how this zombie like move. Taking a position and rummage through the desk I found a book and a few thing like a pencil.

[This can be used as the substitute to found how they work]

Thinking like that I take the pencil and throw it to the desk at the back closer to the zombie like with one arm. I throw it lightly so that it fall at the desk and it fall close to the zombie and miss the top of the desk.

Although it miss the top of the desk it react to it sound when it hit the leg and move toward it. Looking at this behavior it make me smile more wide because it time to farm.
