“Shuuuu~~.”
A fresh, new cut is added to the man’s face, soon streams of red blood also begins dripping down from it. The man stops realising that the danger in which he may be stepping into. And the fact that if he makes further movements between him and the [Human] female, his life may well be on the line. He stops, raising his left arm signalling his men to also stop their [Blood Transformation]. Erhart jumps down from the roof of the huts he was hiding on. With his hand on the hilt of a sword, slightly pulled out from its scabbard. Even though on the surface the man cannot see direct danger from the plan looking blade, but thanks to his rich experience in travelling and his danger sensing skills developed through long time of spraying both blood and sweat on the battlefield. He can feel that something is wrong with that sword or to be precise something is wrong with that [Human] boy.
The force that cut the man just now is not from Erhart’s blade or his needles, instead it is Erhart’s “Sword Aura” a technique passed down to him by his master, a skill that directs his body’s life force along with energy of the heaven and the earth onto the sword’s surface. increasing the blades’ sharpness dramatically. And if one can master such technique to a higher extend, one can perform a long-range attack that kills enemy even thousands step away by simply drawing the blade. After reborning into this new world, Erhart may have lost most of his physical trainings results from his past life. But in spiritual wise, he is more powerful than he had ever been.
“Do not make me draw my blade.” Erhart threats. As Erhart’s eye meet with the man’s, the man felt a sudden chill on his back. Instead of a young boy in which he supposably should see, he sees a sword, a weapon that is ready to take his life, along with the life of his men if needed.
“We should both calm down.” The man suggests, while undoing the transformation. Not that he is attempting to take a step back and show some amicabilities. It is that he knows even if he is in his transformed state, a single cut from the boy’s blade may still be deadly.
“Psss”Erhart’s cold eyes are still focused on the riders, but as he sees the golden helmet man take a step back. He also did the same, he sheathes his blade. “What do you want here.” He asks again.

“Nothing really, I was just surprised that there are [Human] here and maybe thinking of taking a few pretty ones back as my wi..” The man does not dare to finish his sentence. As he sees Erhart’s hand once again moves onto the hilt of the blade.
“Please, do go on.” Erhart says coldly, with a sense of provocation in his words.
“I was just joking, calm down young man. I am actually here looking for someone, a young girl to be exact, same age as you green hair, red eyes.”
“She is not here.” Erhart replies while thinking,” Lolicon.”
“I see, well then is it possible for us to stay here one night? We will pay.”
“No.”
“Please we just need a shelter and some food.”
“That’s not very nice Erhart. If they are not here to harm us, then we should welcome our guests!” before Erhart can answer, Amelia answers for him.
“But! THEY TRIED TO HURT YOU!” Erhart argues
“Nah don’t worry, look I am fine, right?”
“Buut, Buut, t,t, t, AH! Fine. If something happens to you! YOU absolutely deserves it.” Erhart says to Amelia. He sighs and walks back into his house.
“Please do follow me, there are some new huts we just built. I think you guys can stay there quite comfortably for a night.” Amelia smiles and asks the group to follow her.
…….
“Don’t USE that needle of yours EVER AGAIN!” Amelia closes the door behind her and says angrily to Erhart.
“Sorry, Sis.” Erhart apologises, but yet deep inside, he knows from what happened today, his needles’ use is not yet to reach an end.
“So? What is that.”
“What?”
“Please, Erhart don’t pretend to be stupid. You know what I am talking about.”
“Oh its something..” before Erhart can finish, Amelia finishes the sentence for him “You learned from the book, isn’t it.” Amelia sighs, while looking at Erhart, lightly patting him on the head, the looks coming from her brown crystal like eyes are kind and soft. Not a single bit of distrust and condemnation is sensed by Erhart. Then she speaks, “Erhart I know that you are different to other children and from your eyes sometimes I do not see the eyes of a child. You do need to tell me the truth, but please do not try to something as dangerous as today.”

Erhart did not say another word and simply nods quietly.
……
Soon, with return of Jorah and the other men from the hunting. They meet and talk happily with the riders. As most of them are warriors and fighting men, so they get alone quite well. Jorah especially, it is not common for the village to have guest, it is also not often for him to be able to share his stories and experiences to some actually curious audiences. Before the night falls, he, with the help of others sits up a huge bone fire in the middle of the village and asks Amelia and few other men and women, who are excel at cooking to prepare the meat, they gathered from today’s hunting. This time Erhart is not there to help them.
At all time, Erhart’s eye had always been on the riders especially the golden helmet man. He watches them from the shadows and armed himself with a stronger blowgun and more deadly needles. He is prepared, if the riders are to do something he does not approve. Well then, a poisonous needle or a strong sleep dart to their neck may well put them back to their places. If those would not work, he is sure that once he draws his sword, in just seconds he will make sure that the riders’ heads cannot find their bodies.
“Well, Well, Well, look at what we got here! This is a nice dagger we have.” The gold helmet man says while praising all over a knife Erhart just forged a few days ago. The knife is simple and plain, with a metal blade and a wooden handle, wrapped in a thin strip of rough lather. Erhart made it for Jorah, when his hunting knife got broken in a fight he had with a wild boar. Which he brags about nearly every day.
“oh this, it is forged by my son. A talented boy he is.”
“Indeed, do you mind that if I am to test it? I will pay if I broke it.”
“Sure go ahead.”
The man unsheathed his bastard sword from his letter scabbard, The sword owned by man is a much more fancier than all the swords Erhart had seen in the village, countless kewels and crystals are embedded across the guard of the blade and also on the end of the hilt. The man positioned the dagger, edge up on a flat rock and raises his own sword above his head. With a blink of the eye, he slashes down with an unbelievable amount of force, from Jorah’s point of view, he can only see as the two blade intersect, one blade instantly goes through the other. Then as the man’s sword touches the rock, the rock is cut into half, a greater after shock is emitted, along with the small piece of rock shards and dusts flying everywhere.
Then as the dust clears out, Jorah realises the man’s sword seem to have grown shorter. It is separated into two pieces. Erhart is still hiding in the shadow, seemingly not surprised at all, as he knows: firstly, follow the law of physics due to the small surface area of his dagger, it exerts a higher pressure than the man’s sword and the dagger itself is forged with pure carbon steel alloy instead of plain iron. Adding onto that during the forging process of the dagger, Erhart used multiple folding, tempering, hardening and sharpening techniques from the knowledge he had on his previous world’s forging. In which allows his dagger to be both sharp and strong. Therefore, to him looking at the man stupidly smashing his sword onto the dagger he forged, is just like watching someone smashing a mud block on a metal nail.
“Wow.” The man gasps in surprise and high admiration, he is not a single bit disturbed by his blade got break into two pieces.
“Emm, sir? I did not expect that your blade got broken, if you wish I can ask my son to make you a new one.” Jorah gulps in fear as he sees the man’s strength. He worries that by simply displeasing the man it will bring death and misfortune to the whole village.
“No need, I do not want you sword.” The man says, then from the corners of Erhart’s eye he saw a faint smile appearing on the man’s face under the helmet. Then the man says a word after another.
“I”
“want”
“your”
” son!”

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.
