《Slaughtering God's Legacy Inheritor》Chapter 3: Asmodeo

In the skies above the Longinus Kingdom, Two blurs were chasing each other. A blurry figure slowly solidified.
"Guillermo, You're really good at running eh..." Asmodeo glanced at the advancing figure. Asmodeo intently fixed his gaze towards it. "But it seems like you're still gonna die. You're still not fast enough." Asmodeo turned to a blur and arrived next to the blurred Guillermo.
"Ah!" The frantic Guillermo threw Fireballs at the solidified Asmodeo. But the spells vanished to thin air without even reaching Asmodeo. As if there's a huge wall that struck the spells.
"Bastard!" Asmodeo snagged the blurry Guillermo which then in turn became solidified. Asmodeo clutched him at the neck.
"Dnt DU Dhsi!" Guillermo uttered inaudible words. He tightly clutched Asmodeo's arms. Even creating significant scratch marks as he struggled for air.
"SHUPPP!!" Guillermo kicked Asmodeo as hard as he can. His face turned purple due to lack of oxygen and he finally lost consciousness.
"Hmm... This bastard isn't even that tough. " Asmodeo snickered as he slammed Guillermo's body on the ground. Asmodeo then dusted himself and once again clutched Guillermo. He fiercely grabbed Guillermo's face and said.
"Time to burn evidences." A fiery red battle qi spread from Asmodeo and a fierce burning inferno burned Guillermo's body to nothingness. The strange thing was, The dry grasses around weren't even burnt. Only Guillermo's body disappeared to dusts.
"Oh, I still need to scatter those knights." With a blur. Asmodeo instantly disappeared into thin air.
...
Year 6997 of the Fallaciae Calendar. Desert of Tombs. Six hours before Materialization.
On the fiery barren land of the Desert of Tombs. There were two blurs pressing themselves to the limit. They frantically tried to reach the small crater, A distance not too far away from them.
"Master Sofia... " The two internally thought as they advanced. The beasts around the Desert of Tombs hide themselves to the sight of these two. Their auras alone made the Desert of Tombs lifeless.
With their steps alone. The surrounding land burned to dusts, and invisible ripples of space appeared around the place where they ran.
The two blurs slowly solidified as they arrived near the small crater. The two retracted their fierce battle qi and leaped off the small crater.
"If Master Sofia is dead, We need to recover the artifact!" The crater the two supreme experts made were deep. It was at least fifteen meters deep and thirty meters wide.
"Let there be light!" A magus activated his spiritual energy and used a judgement type magic to kindle a small orb of light. His spiritual energy occasionally feeds the small orb.
Judgement type magic is a magic that uses one's judgement to create miracles. Like for example, If the area is dark. You can use Judgement magic to activate a small light that feds of your spiritual energy. Of course, It immediately deactivates with your will or if your spiritual energy runs out.

But there is a limit as to Judgement type magic works. For example. You can't just will something to come to life. That's across the boundary of humans. That's why Judgement type magic is usually stronger for non-humans use than humans. Because they are not bound by the rules of humanity, their judgement magic will be stronger.
Although the spell relies on spiritual energy. Battle qi is still essential in activating the spell itself. To a human, Battle qi is like a bone. To a spell. It's like the intermediary between the world and the netherworld. Since all spiritual energy supplies comes from the netherworld. One needs to use battle qi to activate any spells.
"Thanks for the small light, Ashura. " A cold icy voice spoke, Her voice carried a small hint of praise, Mostly mocking.
"No problem, Little Kaila. " A radiant joyful voice also replied. He smiled towards the descending woman. In terms of appearance. The two can be considered as exceptionally beautiful, handsome. Kaila had jade green eyes. Long, jade-green hair and a prominent figure among the women.
Ashura himself had a noble, exalted aura among the two. His figure alone was so prominent and pristine. Ashura's build was of a thin man, But his gazes alone could send anyone's heart to clench. Not for love, But for fear. Contrary to his mirthful attitude. Ashura is a torturous and reckless person while Kaila herself is gentle, and caring.
"That is..." Ashura squinted his eyes, His gaze fixated on a small figure below.
"Master Sofia!"
"Teacher Sofia!" The two exclaimed at the same time and hasted their descent. The two gracefully fell down and Ashura immediately checked his master for vital signs, while Kaila clutched her hands in worry.
"Eh? What's wrong? Ashura?!" Seeing that Ashura's head fell down. Kaila lost all hope.
"Do-Don't tell me? T-teacher is dead?!" Kaila clutched Ashura's shoulder and a teary eyed Ashura appeared. Also silently, Kaila's tears fell down. "T-teacher." Kaila remembered the first time she and Sofia Longinus met.
"Oh, So this is the cute little Kaila you said to me! Hmm... She really is cute." That time. Sofia squeezed Kaila's cheeks until they became red. The teary eyed Kaila couldn't do anything. Her defenseless form was even more cute that Sofia continued to casually press the teary eyed Kaila's cheeks.
But in her subconscious. A small hint of admiration were planted on Kaila's mind. She dreamed of overcoming Sofia's pristine. She too wanted to become someone as strong as her, and so. Kaila began her training under Sofia's guidance.
"Teacher, Can't I really see you anymore? " Kaila became the same child as she was years ago. Ashura's eyes also became red as he curled to a ball and silently cried.

Suddenly... A unique ripple of the space materialized.
In this dark crater on the Desert of the Tombs. A blurry figure slowly solidified. A figure so familiar for the two. Their teacher and master. Sofia Longinus.
"Master!"
"Teacher!" The two called out to the solidified figure of light.
"Ashura Bararaq, Kaila Pristina. If the two of you sees this message. That means that I'm long dead. " The manifested Sofia revealed her same mirthful smile towards the two. Again, Streams of tears silently fell from their eyes as they called out to their master.
"Sniff... T-teacher, You said that you still wouldn't die until you introduce me to your son! " Kaila pointed in the figure of her master. Her voice became brittle as glass.
Ashura couldn't completely hold his bearings and cried like the same child he was a long time ago.
"Don't worry you two, I will complete my promise to the two of you even if I'm dead. " The eyes of the two lit up, The two rubbed their eyes and attentively listened.
"Listen up, Find my son. Robert Longinus. I already sent my artifact for him. Find him and protect him. He will be the one to realize your dreams."
"Y-Your son? " The two finally regained their bearings. But their hearts are still filled with hatred towards the people who killed their master.
"Yes my son. Find him. Follow him like I'm him, and also. Kindly forgive him If he's lacking. "
"Yes!" The two intently howled.
"The only regrets that I have in my life is that I didn't spend much time with my son. I immediately left him before he had his own mind, and only left him that medallion. " The solidified figure of Sofia Longinus turned static.
"Master!"
"Teacher!" The two's eyes became filled with tears again. They couldn't believe that the strongest teacher that they ever had would part with them like this.
"It looks like my time is up. Thank you. Ashura, Kaila." Sofia's figure turned to a blur and disappeared to countless light particles. Sofia's tattered body also turned to countless light particles, and a small necklace was left. Next to the necklace was a note.
Ashura picked up the note and Kaila picked up the necklace. With a steeled voice. Ashura said "Let's go. Let's fulfill masters wish."
With a blur. The two streaked the skies heading northeast. To the Longinus Kingdom.
...
In the vibrant skies above the mountain range of living plants. A blur slowly solidified as he glanced below him. "It's this place right? " Asmodeo turned to a blur and arrived on the ground below. With his descent. The space itself trembled, and small invisible space ripples spread around the area.
"Who are you?" A cold icy voice rang from behind, Her voice carried a hint of worry in it.
Asmodeo turned and found a thin man beside the woman, and Sahhad and the others were behind them, Realizing the current situation. Asmodeo returned the favor and said. "Looks like you two came to my master's grave."
Hearing this. The two's eyes widened and retreated backwards. "Who the hell are you?! Are you Robert Longinus?!" Ashura spoke in an alarmed voice. Kaila signed the air with her hands and a translucent rune carving appeared in mid-air.
With a crackling blue light, A small dragon formed with lightning flew from the mark, and aimed to pierce Asmodeo.
"Hmm... Lightning Element, Six star spell. Dragon Lightning." Asmodeo calmly deciphered the spells identity and with a wave of his hand. The spell immediately scattered to pieces and absorbed by a strange mark on Asmodeo's forehead.
"Let boulders crash this foe!" Ashura activated his Judgement magic and countless streams of rocks flew towards Asmodeo.
"Judgement type magic... Roughly Seven star. " Asmodeo sighed to himself and placed his palm on the ground. Immediately. The flight of the boulders stopped and lifelessly fell to the ground.
"Spell cancelling?!" Alarmed. Kaila leaped to try physical attacks. But just as she was about to strike Asmodeo with her palm. A strange gravitational change made her struck the ground instead.
The unconscious bodies of the spectators fell, Sahhad also fell to the ground.
"What the hell did you do?!" Ashura howled towards Asmodeo.
"Nothing. Just typical Gravitational Field, and also you got it wr-"
"Impossible! A gravitational field as strong as that?! Are you kidding me?!" Kaila interjected Asmodeo's sentence. With a sigh. Asmodeo finally decided to let Robert regain his mind.
"Huh? What happened? Why Am I here?! Why does my head hurt? What the? Ah! Sahhad!" The frantic Robert saw the fallen Sahhad and ran towards him.
"Sahhad! What the hell happened?!" The last thing Robert remembered was they were attacked by Guillermo's group, and a voice rang from the broken sword then black out.
"Ah! " Robert saw the grim scene around. Several bodies of the knights that accompanied Guillermo littered the ground, and behind him. Two figures of strangers blocked his view.
"Milords! " Robert frantically bowed. He noticed that just looking at those two alone made his heart clench, and made him hard to breath.
"Tell us, Are you Robert Longinus or not?!" The two figures smiled and smashed the ground. The ground immediately turned to dusts as their fiery battle qi materialized.
"D-Did I get myself to trouble?!" Robert internally shouted as he tried to recall the recent events. But disappointingly he couldn't remember an ounce of what happened.

Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
