《Nephilim: Beyond Good and Evil》Chapter 44: Beginning

Belial; the Demon of guilt and lies. He is known as the Devil down in Hell and rules a over it. His black demonic wings which were once covered by angelic feathers stretched out as he began to raise into the sky.
He was created to be a beautiful Angel by the hand of God, but instead turned out to be the very source of evil within the world. He made it his purpose to tempt men into the wickedness of their hearts to further antagonize God and his people.
One could call him the source of all evil, but that is also up for debate since he wasn't created until God decided to and thus he knew the end results of his existence. Japan was thrown into terror now that he was freed from Hell.
The only thing on his mind was causing havoc and chaos for chaos' sake. To teach humanity of their rightful place; below him. His main goal was to have the humans live out in Hell while he took rule of Earth.
He glanced down at Raanan who simply watched him. Their relationship was a strange one. Belial was known for double crossing humans and Demons alike and would no less do the same to a Nephilim, but he saw something inside of Raanan that reminded him of himself. Although to a lesser extent.
"Humanity will live out the rest of their days in darkness!" Belial stated.
He held out both of his hands as primordial darkness secreted from his palms and unleashed a wave of toxicity of evil around not only Japan, but across the globe. That wave of energy drove its way straight into he hearts of the people and began to taint them.
Corruption. His main power which made him almighty. Every being in existence could be corrupted since no one was truly pure. His ability allowed him to tap into that inner darkness and then with that he was free to manipulate that darkness to kill his foes.
"Belial. You best stay true to your word."
"I wouldn't dream of anything else, Raanan. You've helped me reach my goal and now I shall do the same for you. I can grant whatever it is your heart desires and more."
"So I've heard."
"You wish to be granted a kingdom of your own don't you? I can make that happen at anytime. You'll be above everyone else and only second to me."
"That's what I like to hear, Belial."
What Belial was doing now was creating an insurance plan. He allowed his dark miasma to flood the atmosphere leaving a cloudy look around the world which would have extended affects on the people of this world.
With the world entering complete and utter chaos it was time for the Nephilims to stand up against it. They were the only way able to do anything with the Angels taking a backseat to the events.
Terios had to make a choice. Something like this will lead to the destruction of mankind. He knew how it felt to lose someone special to him and if things went on like this then everything he fought so hard to protect would be in vain.

Terios stood outside of the Kiyomizu Manor and stood up at the sky which was covered with dark tainted clouds as far the eye can see. Even in death he could feel that his father still found ways to torment him. Standing by his side was his sister, Setsuna who was staring up at the same sky.
"Teri-kun. What's that?"
"Pure evil. It feels horrible."
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to stop it."
She squeezed his hand firmly before gazing at him with her dim gray eyes. He looked back at her and nodded slowly.
"We'll stop it." He said.
"I think you mean all of us, son." Ryo said.
"Dad?"
"You kids have been so secretive, but I think it's time you tell your old man about what's going on."
"It's a long story dad. A story better suited for another time."
"I'll settle for the short version for now."
"If I'm correct this energy that I'm feeling is coming from a powerful Demon."
"That's all I need to know. Let's go take care of this Demon then."
"Dad it's too dangerous for you."
Hahaha. Your brother's funny Setsuna. I'm the one who's supposed to be worrying about you."
"That's just the kind of person Terios is. He can't help worrying about people."
"I can't help it. You all mean a lot to me."
Elsewhere.
The final stage of the plan was being put into progress. Belial was now going to perform an extreme mode of transportation where he would teleport every human into the realm of Hell where they would live out their lives while Demons would ascend and make Earth their new home.
This would take a fair amount of time even for a being of his status and thus he needed Raanan's help one last time to assure that no one would get in the way although that was turning out to be unlikely.
A purple portal opened up in the middle of the city and out walked Terios, Setsuna and Ryo. They noticed that everything looked a mess. People were running for their lives while others were on the verge of death or dead already.
A horde of little Demons infested the streets like cock roaches and were feasting on the corpses around them, ripping off flesh and devouring it for sport. Seeing this Ryo made a face. Further head of them was the being known as Belial high in the sky while Raanan stood below him.
"Son. Go ahead and stop that Demon. I'm going to take care of these things here."
"Good luck dad!" Terios shouted as he and Setsuna ran off.
The Demons simply stared at them as they passed them before they saw Ryo approach them.
Clenching his fist he generated a wave of super intense flames before he hurled it at them.
Terios and Setsuna were now in view of the big bad himself but before they could fly up to him they were greeted by Raanan. The red haired Nephilim.

"Out of our way!"
"Don't be silly. I've put a lot of work into this. Things are finally changing for the better."
"How can you think this is better?"
"Simple. Humans are lampshaded as being God's greatest creation despite being the most flawed? No God's greatest creation are the Nephilim. We are perfect in everywhere. We have no flaws."
"You're wrong. We're just as flawed as humans. If anything we're more flawed than humans. We have all of this power and don't know what to do with it. Without proper guidance we can turn out just like you."
"Maybe for you, but for me I have no flaws. I am a proud example of a Nephilim who embraces his heritage. If you dare to get in the way you'll meet your end. My law is absolute."
Setsuna glanced over at Terios who stared at Raanan.
"Setsuna. If we work together we can bring this guy down fast and move onto the Demon up there."
"Ok, Teri-kun."
"Both of you can kneel before me." Raanan stated.
Terios and Setsuna felt their bodies lower onto the ground until they were on their knees. It was strange but they couldn't resist it was like something was pulling them down.
"This guy... he's strong."
As a distraction Setsuna opened up portals by Raanan's feet which allowed skeletons to raise out from the ground and grab him by the feet. Feeling this Raanan lost focus and the two were able to stand.
"We have to move quick!"
Terios summoned two sharp tendril blades from the ground as they swirled to the side, attempting to cut the Nephilim in half although he simply held out two hands to generate a dark red field to deflect the shadows.
"Nice try." Raanan said.
He glanced down at the skeleton hands and forced their fingers to curl back before snapping off on their own.
"Teri-kun. Fire into this."
Setsuna said as she held out her hand and formed a portal in front of them. Terios fired a beam of light into it before it closed. Raanan watched them carefully before multiple portals opened up around him.
He glanced at all of them before causing the red field to form around him. As he did this Setsuna would open a portal by her side to grab ahold of her trademark scythe before she swung it at him.
This generated a spatial distortion which formed a purple crescent wave. The wave slammed into him, ignoring the field of protection. The attack caused blood to gush from his body and from behind him a building was cleaved in two.
"Your attacks are alike to that of Alvah's. Who would have guessed I'd be fighting someone who could control space?" Raanan moved a hand to hold his wound before it started to heal.
"I won't let you lay a hand on my Teri-kun. I'll kill you."
Raanan held a hand behind him at the building that she sliced in two. He used his ability to grab ahold of the top half which was embedded with his dark red aura. Then he hurled it straight toward the two.
Terios held out his hand to fire a stream of beams which would crash into the building and cause it to blow up, reducing it to bits and pieces.
While this happened, Setsuna opened up a portal behind Raanan which fired Terios' previous light beam which crashed into Raanan's back which forced him forward.
Now she was going to show just how talented she was with her ability. She opened up a portal in front of her and swung her scythe into it, forcing another portal to open up from the side of the enemy which pushed out her scythe and had it rip into him.
She did this multiple times from different angles and directions until his clothes were all torn up and he was covered in his own blood. However, he quickly healed right after.
"Regeneration is handy isn't it?" Raanan said as he looked up at Belial.
"Teri-kun. Leave this to me."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. You need to deal with him." Setsuna pointed up toward the Devil.
"I know you can win." Terios said as he allowed his wings to spread and took off for Belial.
Ryo on the other hand was still dealing with the endless hordes of Demons and was starting to grow a bit tired. He was completely surrounded by them and they were all preparing to attack until a spiral of water forced them all back.
"Need a hand?" Ira asked as he descended along with Akari and Kodomo.
"That'd be helpful."
"Leave everything to us, Mr. Kiyomizu." Akari said.
She formed a series of light orbs which circled around her and took care of any Demon stupid enough to get too close by slamming into them.
Kodomo used his aura to form a sub machinegun which he used to take out a majority of the monsters swarming him.
"Out of everything to happen it had to be an apocalypse today. Things are never dull around here." Kodomo said.
Back over on the other side of things, Terios was floating face to face with the Devil. He stared directly at him while he stared back.
"Careful those who stare at me for too long claim they see no evil."
"I'm not afraid of you."
"You don't have to be."
Belial held out his hand as he caused the area to be surrounded in complete darkness for a brief moment. Then his hand would be caressed by dark energy. A finger pointed at Terios which caused him to feel something inside of him.
He closed his eyes and as he reopened it he realized he was somewhere completely different.

The 8th Day
One day life is good. The next day it isn't! The boundaries between... well, whatever they're between.. have shattered! Monsters burst out from cracks in the universe, and reality suddenly begins to function similar to a game -- but not a game that anyone knows all the rules about! Magic is suddenly real, but so are monsters and death! Lots of death! And the worst part of it all? I think we did it to ourselves! We invented video games, and personally I think that great Finger-in-the-Sky picked up a console somewhere and started playing them. Since He liked what he saw, he must've declared, """"On the 8th Day, let there be Game!"But what do I know about it all, really. After all, I'm just """"The Witness"""" forced to observe it all.__________________________________________________________________________Author's Note: There's a lot of tales where characters get stuck in a Virtual Reality. """"Sword Art Online"""", """"Log Horizon"""", """"The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor"""". This is a story told with the premise inverted -- instead of a person from reality going into a virtual world, what would happen if the virtual world instead came to reality?I want this tale to speak about the aspects of the game, as it has affected the current reality, but the focus of the story should never be on the """"reality-turned-game"""" itself, but on the characters and their oh-so-human struggles, personalities, and attempt to adjust and live within the bounds of their new existence. Hopefully this won't just be a story of """"reality turned into a game"""", but instead will be something more meaningful such as a story of the strengths, perseverance, and humanity of man-kind as they try to adapt and face the unknown.*** And, most importantly, I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it. ***WARNING: RATED MATURE M[18+] FOR GORE, SEX, VIOLENCE. The apocalypse isn't a pretty place to try to survive in, and neither is every scene in a story trying to describe it.
