《Nephilim: Beyond Good and Evil》Chapter 20: Devil

What a frightening amount of energy. It's completely corrupted! Is he even human anymore? Any normal person should be destroyed by this much raw power.
The building was crumbling around them and everything was mostly nonexistent. Luckily, Terios had forged a protective dome from his shadows. Numerous support beams and parts of the floor fell onto the dome causing loud clanging sounds to be heard.
I haven't had enough time to perfect this, I won't be able to keep it up any longer.
Terios clenched his teeth as he released the dome of energy. Isamu was standing in the same position as if nothing had happened. When things got close to him they would instantly be incinerated.
"I'm sorry, I had a sneeze I couldn't squelch."
"You call that a sneeze? You leveled your entire house."
"Material things can be rebuilt. Now let's get comfortable."
Isamu darted out catching Terios off guard as he sunk a fist deep into his gut. The attack was so strong it stretched his gut as if it was going to tear a whole through him. It was powerful enough to send him flying through the rubble and sliding against the ground.
Terios remained still on the ground as heaps of blood was leaking from his mouth. Before he could even calculate what had happened Isamu was standing next to him. He clenched a fist which emitted orange sparks and slammed it directly onto Terios.
There was a mild explosion and his body was sent into the ground, but the man wasn't done yet. He continued to punch him each blow stronger than the next until the two were now fighting below ground.
Is this guy really this strong? What the hell was I thinking!?
Terios' eyes closed as the onslaught continued. Eventually Isamu got bored and decided to grab onto his shirt and hurled him straight into the air like a ragdoll. Still feeling stunned from his attacks Terios was defenseless.
Flying above was an orange colored orb which rammed harshly into Terios' front. There was a fair size explosion which covered parts of the sky and soon his body was falling towards the earth.
Akari was terrified after seeing this and felt like she had to get herself involved. Even she wasn't expecting Isamu to be this powerful.
She flew over to him as fast as she could and found Terios lying in a mini crater. His shirt was all tattered and ripped up and his jeans had various rips in them. His body was battered and bruise and blood stained his lips.
"Teri-kun..." She hated seeing her brother like this it was the worst feeling she could have witnessed.
"This isn't even a warm up. Come on! You're going to kill me right? Avenge Akane and Shiori's death? Well act like you mean it or I'll send you to Hell with them!" Isamu walked at a casual pace.
"Stay back, I'm warning you!" Akari stood between them, raising a hand at the monster infront of her.
"A-Akari..." Terios struggled to get out his sister's name.
I can't let her fight my battle for me. She could get hurt and it'd be my fault. Goddamn it stand up!!

Terios tried his best to move a part of his body just any, yet it was hopeless. He didn't have the strength in him to move. He almost felt limp.
"A warning? Please child. I'm too old for warnings." Isamu said before stepping closer.
As he advance Akari charged a powerful beam of light, firing one that was thicker than before. The beam traveled towards the man, but he fired one of his own, an orange colored one that clashed directly into hers.
The two beams struggled against one another, yet it was obvious to see who would win this battle. When Isamu was finished toying with her he forced his beam to pave a way through Akari's and soon it rammed into her head on.
It caused another mild explosion and sent her flying back onto the ground. The heat it gave off burned off pieces of her top, revealing the left side of her yellow colored bra. Her body was battered and bested, but she found the strength to stand up again.
"I'm not going to let you hurt him!" Akari shouted while flying for Isamu.
Isamu chuckled lightly and revealed a row of teeth before he caught the girl by her throat and performed a chokeslam, crashing her into the rough ground and causing it to crack lightly. His hand was so tight against her throat it caused her face to turn red as she struggled to breathe.
"Is this the best you got? Don't you care what happens to your brother or you for this matter?" He leaned in close to her face, opening his mouth as his breath blew against her. It smelled like ash for some reason. Soon his moist tongue spilled out and licked along her cheek, leaving traces of his saliva stuck to her face.
"G-get off...!" Akari struggled to get out the words, tears forming in her eyes from the horrible feeling of the man's tongue. She stared directly into his eyes and realized he wasn't human anymore. He was just a catalyst.
Isamu gave off an evil smirk before he heard movement from behind him. He turned around to see that Terios was now standing. "Oh?"
"Get your damn hands off of her before I rip them off!" Terios shouted.
"What are you going to do about it? You've seen a taste of my power. A mere 15%."
Terios wasn't messing around, he instantly flew off and tackled Isamu onto the ground and away from his sister. He clenched a fist and swung down but missed as Isamu moved his head at the right moment.
Isamu lifted his head up, headbutting Terios square in his face causing him to stagger. At the opening he switched the tables and brought him onto the ground, mounting him from atop and clenched a fist with orange sparks.
He slammed it down, but Terios avoided it as well, however his fist went through the ground and was stuck in it. That was the opening he was looking for and he couldn't pass this up.
He summoned his shadows and being so close to the ground they ensnared Isamu and lifted him into the air. They tangled his ankles, wrists, throat, and torso, keeping a secure lock on him while Terios got up.

"I'm going to tear you apart! Piece by piece!"
"Do it. The difference between you and me is that I don't need an excuse to kill someone. You know it'll feel good killing me. Look how angry you are."
"Shut your damn mouth!" Terios raised a hand into the air to force a shadow to cover his mouth and stop his words from coming out.
Terios was serious now. He slowly closed his hand a gesture which would signal for the shadows to begin pulling the demon apart. It didn't matter how strong you were as his shadows defied normal laws. Since a shadow doesn't have a set strength it mimics the enemy's strength and since it has no stamina the foe will tire and will be ripped apart accordingly.
Isamu was fighting against this, keeping his limbs from being separated and engulfing himself in an orange aura until he released an explosion of energy which made the shadows disappear and sent Terios sliding against the ground.
What now?
"Here's 35% of my power!" Isamu shouted as his entire body was enhanced due to the demonic energy that coursed through his veins.
"I told you! I've already decided that you were going to die. And I'm not going back on my word!"
'You think you can stand up to this power!?"
Terios glanced over to see his sister still lying there and it fueled him with rage and caused his eyes to take on a light grey color. His fists clenched tightly against until blood seeped through his right.
"What power? All I see is a weak man who needed a Demon to become relevant."
"Watch your damn mouth!"
"Let's finish this. I'm getting tired of looking at you."
Terios remained composed as he generated his own twilight blue aura to match Isamu's. Isamu dashed forward and Terios pressed on, the two clashing into each other.
Neither side would budge as they came at each other with everything they had to offer. Terios however knew that he would win this battle.
"Is that all you got!? You needed this power to hurt a girl? You're pathetic!"
"Shut up you damn brat! I'll kill you!"
Isamu pushed harder causing the ground to crack beneath them. Terios tensed up somewhat as he kept the same amount of force applied. The two weren't going anywhere and this angered Isamu.
"Have 50% of my power!" Isamu shouted as he powered up even more. His aura intensified and as it did so did Terios' which surprised him.
"What's going on?"
"I call this technique Shadow Stalker."
"Shadow Stalker...?"
"No matter how strong you get I will always match that power. Making it a tug of war that nobody wins."
"You bastard, but when..?"
"This was the plan all along, Isamu."
"What are you talking about?"
"In order to use Shadow Stalker I have to see and take a few of your attacks head on so I can match your physical power. I was letting you think that you were way out of my league to stroke your ego."
"That... can't be. It's impossible! Have 100% of my power!!" Isamu shouted as his aura expanded even more, but Terios' copied his. This only made the Demon angrier as he still couldn't budge Terios.
"Heh so this is your full power?"
"It doesn't make any sense. So what if you can copy me? We'll both be at a stand still!"
"Just because two fighters are evenly matched doesn't mean a winner can't be decided."
Getting fed up, Isamu released an explosion and blew Terios back a few feet. After this he fired off a beam to which Terios easily avoided.
"I'm starting to get annoyed boy!"
"Don't worry this'll be over soon."
"As if!
Terios hovered above Ismau, spreading his oddly colored wings as he charged forward. Isamu held out a hand as he charged a beam and soon fired it in his direction.
"You fool!" Isamu shouted.
Terios teleported away, avoiding the beam and appearing infront of Isamu with one hand moving into a shadow portal below, grabbing and pulling out his sword.
Isamu stared before leaping back and firing a series of small orbs which exploded as they rammed into the ground.
Terios quickly darted off to avoid them before slamming his blade into the ground. "Shadow Spike!"
From beneath the ground various shadows raised up with the intention of ensnaring Isamu which it was able to accomplish. Wrapping around him like a cocoon.
"Hey! What gives!"
"Since you're at your full power there's no way you'll be able to break free from my shadows with Shadow Stalker activated."
"We'll see!" Isamu yelled as he generated another explosion of energy causing fearsome winds and debris which blew along the area, ruffling Terios' hair and remains of his clothes. However, the shadows were still tightly locked around him.
"I'll make it quick and painless. I'm not someone who enjoys killing. I only do it when somebody leaves me no choice."
"T-Terios wait! I've seen the error of my ways! Please let's talk about this! I can change! Think about what you'll do to my kids! You'll take what little family they have!"
I don't buy his act.
Without responding, Terios rushed toward him, gripping his blade firmly. Isamu closed his eyes, blocking his view of the world and when he opened it, Terios was on the other side of him with his blade covered in blood; his blood.
"Y-you...!" Before he could finish, blood gushed out of his wound and his torso slowly slid off and landed onto the ground while painting the floor with his crimson liquids.
Shiori. Akane. You can rest easy now. You've been avenged.
Isamu was defeated and the only thing on Terios' mind now was making sure his sister was ok. He walked over to her and lifted her up in his arms, giving her a big hug.
"Akari... are you going to be ok?"
"I'll be fine... Teri-kun. I'm just glad everything's over with..." She laid her head in his chest and felt the strong warmth he gave off.
"That's where you're wrong."
Lowering from the sky was the one and only Azazel who showed the world his six black wings. What purpose did he have for showing up now that everything was decided?

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). Star Wars Episode 7: A Corpse Through Which the Force Speaks
The fall of the Empire heralds dark times for humanity. As the New Republic concedes much of the galaxy to alien rule, a group of special forces stormtroopers must find a way to survive the "new normal". This fanfiction sets an alternate course of events in response to general dissatisfaction with the sequel trilogy. In terms of continuity, this story only takes into account the events of the first six movies and Rogue One. Please note: This story comes from the school of thought that the purpose of art is to provoke thought, rather than distract us from reality. I hope that the disturbing parts of this story do just that! This story is COMPLETE.
