《Nephilim: Beyond Good and Evil》Chapter 18: Decision

Time sure does pass you by when you're working toward something you believe in. Over these last few weeks I've been putting everything I have into my training. Akari has taught me the basics of what it means to be a Nephilim. Now I'm able to feel the energy that radiates in people and I can identify them. I'm also able to summon my wings at will.
I've progressed a lot since then. When I first realized that I was the son of a Fallen. You don't have to wait much longer Shiori, I'll keep my promise to you and allow you to rest. I won't let Isamu get away with what he did to Akane. Even if it means... becoming a murderer.
Terios felt like his training was going well and figured it'd be the best of time to strike. Isamu was powerful, but he was still mortal and a mortal no matter how strong would have trouble going against an immortal. Fighting Isamu wasn't what worried him it was the choice he was making.
Would he feel guilt after killing him? There wasn't much guilt over Abner, but he was simply an Angel who would stop at nothing to place his family in harm's way. There was some source of justice to his previous actions as it was kill or be killed, but now he was going to be the attacker.
Swallowing his nervousness Terios bent down to tie his shoe laces, wrapping them tight before he headed down the stairs of his house. If lucky nobody would catch him leaving and then questions wouldn't have to be answered. Unfortunately, Uubji was standing by the door and caught him coming down.
"Heading out nephew?"
"Yeah, just for a bit."
"You've been gone a lot lately. You feeling ok?"
"Don't worry, I'm fine."
"I know what it is. You're visiting a girl you like." He said in a playful tone and sported a playful expression.
Actually it's refreshing seeing Uubji back to his old self.
"Haha, no that's not it!"
"Oooh, you sly dog."
"Really!" He blushed lightly, turning his head away. "It's not even what you think."
"Thanks nephew."
"For...?" Terios wondered what he meant by this and raised an eyebrow.
"For doing what you're about to do."
He knows? Maybe he's speaking about something else... no.
At that moment Terios stared into the eyes of Shiori's father and realized that he was making the right decision. By killing Isamu Uubji wouldn't have to suffer with the guilt and he would obtain peace. Just by gazing into his eyes he knew how he felt and simply smiled before approaching the door.
"I love you, uncle Uubji."
After stating this he exited the manor leaving Uubji standing there with a smirk and whispering a thank you.
The journey to the Vhaal's dojo felt longer than before. Those nasty butterflies started to clutter Terios' stomach. Looks like he still had his human mentality. He pictured people of his race to be confident in their own abilities. Most of them would likely side with the angelic side and forsake their human counterpart.

The sun was extremely hot today it felt like it was 90 degrees outside not the best temperature to be fighting in, but hopefully this wouldn't be a battle. It'd just be a quick kill if he was lucky that way he wouldn't suffer any mental damage when it came right down to it. There wouldn't be any suffering just a quick clean kill.
When approaching the dojo's entrance Akari stood ready with a smile on her face. Sensing her brother's arrival she waved frantically at him and eventually darted off, tackling him to the ground while nuzzling her face into his chest.
"Teri-kun! I waited for you!"
"A-Akari! We have to be serious."
"Being serious isn't fun!" She continued to nuzzle his chest before hopping off of him and brushing a few of her pink strands from her face. "You have to lighten up so you don't go crazy."
"You're probably right." Terios took a stand, stretching lightly.
"Hehe. If you're ready we can head there now. It's going to be a long fight if we're not careful."
"I'll end it quick. I haven't been practicing to be a pushover."
With his resolve now clear Terios and Akari would soon begin their travels to the Emata's estate. Another family whom formed a peace treaty with the Kiyomizus. Their methods for killing the supernatural creatures proved to be too brutal and his family ethics were less then favorable.
Meanwhile at the Emata estate, a fair sized home with lots of land built on private land away from locals, Isamu sat down wearing a long black kimono with a newspaper in hand and a cup of tea in the other. His hair was long and white while his eyes were a shade of brown.
He sat at a fine wooden table decorated with a flower vase filled with lovely roses. They gave off a sweet smile which enveloped the kitchen. Isamu was reading a certain section on the paper which stated: Strange black winged men sightings becoming more and more frequent. What does this mean for Japan?
"Hmm. Interesting. What are you up to?" Isamu hummed to himself before looking at his cup of tea. He brought it to his face before inhaling the gentle aroma from the steaming hot liquid. Soon he'd take a few sips from it and release a soft sigh.
Looking at his flowers he noticed that a petal started to fall onto the table to which he frowned lightly before resting his cup down.
Running into the kitchen was his two children Jiro and Jirou. The two were identical twins with the exact features. They both had grey eyes and black hair although Jiro's hair was parted to the right while Jirou's was parted to the left. For clothes they had on a black short sleeve shirt, Jiro having a logo of a yellow smiley face while Jirou had a frowny one. For bottoms they had on a pair of red jeans.
"What are you two doing here?"

"Hey daddy! We just wanted to see if you were doing ok." Jiro said with a wide smile.
"Hi." Jirou said flatly.
Isamu smiled, moving his hand to ruffle their head gently. "Is that all? I'm fine."
"No, that's not all. I wanted to tell you that I love you very, very, very much daddy." Jiro said pleasantly before hugging his father.
"You say that often. I know well enough that you love me."
"You know Jiro. He's always forcing his love on someone." Jirou stated; bored.
"I'm proud of how far you two have gotten. I'm counting on you to back me up when our guests arrive."
"Guest?" Jirou asked.
"Yay! I love greeting guests! Do we have to kill them daddy?"
"No, I'll save you the trouble just this once."
"Wow. We're grateful or something." Jirou rolled his eyes.
Isamu stood up, and when Jirou noticed he flinched and covered his face expecting a hit for his back talk but was shocked when he didn't receive punishment.
"It's time to put all of our sacrifices to the test."
Isamu was known as a Demon. The man raped his own daughter and killed his wife in order to receive the ultimate blessing from a Demon who offered him a single wish. It was one of the greatest gifts a human could ever ask for; power. Power always came at a price though.
"We'll head out right now daddy. Count on us, we'll stop whoever it is out there." Jiro pulled his brother along and ran off in a hurry to please his father.
"Belial let's see how mighty your power really is."
Elsewhere.
Sitting inside the cave of complete darkness, Azazel had a portal open and viewed Terios and Akari as they approached the trap he had set up for them. It was like live television for him and it sent a surge of excitement to see his game coming into play. Akihisa would soon walk in and notice what his father was doing.
"Is this what you do with your free time?"
"Mostly. With the game in motion I dare not look away."
"Who do you expect to win?"
"No spoilers."
"I don't care about something like that."
"Me of course."
"I figured."
"Sit back and relax. The show is reaching its final curtain call!"
"You'll do anything for fun won't you?"
"Fun is what makes life worth living son. Without that it'd be nothing but a headache. One good moment can make thousands of bad ones disappear."
Akihisa remained silent and just turned his head to the portal as he observed what was going on. His father was a mystery, he knew he couldn't be trusted, yet he wanted to. Something he knew he'd regret later on.
Terios and Akari were just now approaching the Emata estate. Seeing it up close it looked like a normal building filled with average people it was hard to imagine what went on behind closed walls. Clenching his teeth Terios sensed what was waiting for them; demonic aura.
"Whoa, do you feel that Teri-kun?"
"Yeah, it feels dark. Is this really?"
"Yup. It's something demonic. The Ematas must have gotten their powers from some high ranking Demon. Maybe this wasn't a good idea."
"This means that they must have been tipped off. Who do you think it could be?"
"I'm not sure." Akari said softly as her mind traveled elsewhere, there wasn't many people who would have learned about their plan. Deep down she already knew who could have tipped them off.
Crunching down on the bright green grass were the feet of the twins who took it upon themselves to greet their guests. Jiro revealed a warm smile while Jirou wasn't pleased with what they had to do.
Stopping in their tracks, Terios and Akari glanced at the two Ematas and took on a defensive position while Jiro laughed light heartedly.
"No need to be afraid guys! Terios and Akari, I'm so happy to see you two again." Jiro seemed gleeful and turned to look at Jirou who was silent this whole time. "Jirou, speak to our guests."
"No. I rather we skip the crap and get right down to the part where we kill one another. That's what you're here for, Terios? You want to kill our father?" Jirou looked at the Kiyomizu with a dark stare.
"No... it's not like that. Surely you understand how bad he is." Terios said with a built of guilt.
"I do. Yet, I won't let you lay a finger on him." Jirou stated while looking up at the sky until everything changed. His body began generating a dark ominous aura which would soon engulf the entire area, altering the background. The trees surrounding them changed vaguely black while the grass started to rot and decay. The sky was nothing more then a purple nightmare and the thick fluffy clouds were tainted with red. The house behind them was secured in a cage with iron bars.
"What the hell is this?" Terios asked while noticing the new changes.
"Be careful, Teri-kun. These two are stronger than they appear."
"Time for a tag team battle! We really enjoy them and I hope you will too! Just please don't be mad if you lose ok?" Jiro said with a smile.
"Sorry Jiro, but I didn't come here to lose. I came here to help Akane rest in peace and I'm going to accomplish that!" Terios shouted.
"Akane? You think this will change anything? You'll just cause yourself more pain, Kiyomizu. Whatever, you'll be consumed either way." Jirou said while moving both of his hands toward the two, summoning a crescent of dark energy which he fired at them. With the two of them locked inside of this grim atmosphere how will they make it to Isamu? That is if they can even get past the two twins.

Sage ▸ Stiles Stilinski [Book One]
"You do realize that I'm supposed to tell you when you're throwing yourself into a dangerous situation and that doing this will probably get you killed, right?" "I don't need you to take care of me, Sage." "Says the werewolf that fell into the floor." Sage Connelly was notoriously known for the fire that killed her entire family when she was only ten years old. Granted, that name held importance for an entire year before people eventually forgot about the Connelly's and the other family involved in the fire, the Hale's. Nearly six years later, when the little girl is not so little anymore, Sage comes back with more than just a leather jacket hanging on her shoulders. She comes back with a personality distinctly different from what her old friends remembered, not only stunning Jackson Whittemore into silence but efficiently taking away Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski's ability to talk about the dead body found in the woods the night before. Even more, the bite on Scott's body that held an importance only two people in town could help him with: Sage, to her dismay, was one of them. When Derek Hale calls upon her help, giving her the title of Scott McCall's personal babysitter, she's inevitably forced to tag along with the boy's trusty side-kick. The introverted and overly, well, intimidating qualities that the blonde had lead Stiles Stilinski into an unfathomable struggle of convincing himself that Sage Connelly was just a crush, and that Lydia Martin would forever be the one holding his heart. That lasted as long as the one-way conversation the boy had with the strawberry blonde in the middle of a hospital. His downward spiral leads him directly into the arms of a stubborn, damn blonde that was confident she didn't need a boy in her life that was still tripping over an elementary school crush.
